“Why does this always happen to us?” –Quinn Broomsparkle, wizard extraordinaire Six months have passed since wizard Quinn Broomsparkle left behind his indentured servant shackles. He’s in love with his half-dragon/half-fairy familiar, Twig Starfig. He’s got a home. Friends. A job. And a father-in-law he could do without. A pretty close to perfect life. But as Quinn has learned the hard way, … way, things rarely stay peaceful for long. Especially when a Starfig’s involved.
Summoned to his home realm and a past he’d thought left behind, Quinn and Twig find themselves in the middle of evil machinations . . . with no clear enemy. When Quinn’s younger brother, Zak, goes missing, it’s Starfig Investigations on the case.
Being the first wizard in a thousand years isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. On top of a missing brother, a broken-hearted red fury, an archivist with a secret, and a ghost pirate-parrot who’s determined to return to his captain, Quinn and Twig’s relationship is sorely tested when questions—and unhappy answers—about their mating dilemma are pushed to the fore.
All Quinn wants is his fairy share of happiness. Is that so much to ask?

so much fun from beginning to the end, what a roller coaster ride.
Meghan Maslow had me both anticipating and dreading this book! With Quinn Broomsparkle being the only wizard in a thousand years, we know it is just a matter of time before the witches’ council of his home realm demands his appearance… with his familiar–the half-dragon, half-fairy hybrid Twig Starfig! I didn’t want them to go! I just knew things would be bad! But they were much, much worse! Told from Quinn Brooksparkle’s point-of-view, the wizard extraordinaire encounters prejudice, intolerance, hatred, and sexual harassment! Yes! Sexual harassment! Quinn finds himself being sought after to father children with the witches! Quinn, who is gloriously gay and in love with Twig! Oh, how I’ve waited for this book in audio format! Narrated by the simply incredible Greg Boudreaux (Tremblay), I knew reading the book with my eyes would not suffice. I just lack the imagination to bring this world to life in my mind but Greg does so beautifully. This series is in my top five! Well done, Meghan!
Creative, funny and sweet – loved it!
This continues to be the most creative fantasy series I have read in a long time. Twig and Quinn are on the move again with excellent writing, great world building, lots of magical action, unpredictable plotting, and all the snark and sass you expect from the guys. With an entire supporting cast of strange and unusual characters, including some great new ones, there’s some fun for everyone. This one sounded like the end, and wrapped up nicely, but I’m still hoping for more. Loved it!
This third book on the series continued the story of Twig and Quinn. Now we witnessed more magical adventures and misadventures, a family problem, new great characters, many of the previous ones and a series of situations and obstacles that they needed to overcome to stay together showing us how strong is their love for each other. The book kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time. Simply wonderful! I can’t wait for more books in this series. Loved it!
I thoroughly enjoyed His Fairy Share. It is an exciting continuation of the Starfig Investigations series. These characters continue to grow in their relationship, and their day-to-day lives. I am wholly invested in them and wish there could always be new stories and situations to come.
The author takes them in a different direction this time, causing them to suffer even more than before as, mentally, physically, and emotionally, they struggle to come to terms with their new normal. There is plenty of laughter, tears, pain, and fear. It is all wrapped up in the love they have for each other and for those who have become their family. I had all the feels in this one.
Their adventures in this installment are even more outrageously exciting than the previous books.
Their HFN/HEA is well deserved after all the trials they have fought through and triumphs for which they have fought. It is believable and satisfying, and I did not want the story to end. And there were some spicy, sexy times (when they weren’t interrupted by Bill).
With a seemingly endless cast of secondary characters, the breadth and scope of some scenes are awesomely graphic, and I felt like I was right there with them flying and swinging a sword, fighting the good fight. His Fairy Share is some excellent stuff.
I look forward to more from this author.
