It’s supposed to be a time for miracles, but is Megan’s surprise Christmas present another betrayal Dion cannot forgive?
Megan Green fell in love with Dion Wallace when she was nine years old, but she hasn’t seen him since she was fifteen when he moved from New Zealand to the UK to be with his father. Meeting up with him in Prague eight years later is both a surprise and a relief when he rescues … relief when he rescues her during one of her panic attacks. On the rebound after a breakup, she turns to Dion for comfort and some hot sex, and he’s happy to oblige. But when the night ends, they’re both certain it’s the last time they’ll ever see each other.
A year later, however, Dion’s life is falling apart. After a decade of hard work, he thought he was next in line to be CEO of the family company, but his father surprises everyone by giving the job to one of his half-brothers. Angry and hurt by his dad’s betrayal, Dion books the first available flight to New Zealand, hoping a few weeks away might give him some perspective. And if he manages to hook up with Megan again while he’s there, he figures that might be the medicine he needs.
Megan’s brother—and Dion’s best mate when they were young—hasn’t told her Dion’s coming. It’s not clear who’s the most shocked when they finally meet. It’s supposed to be a time for miracles, but is Megan’s surprise Christmas present another betrayal Dion cannot forgive?
Warning: it’s not only the New Zealand weather that’s hot and sultry. Adults only.

The choppy nature of the story. Dude is a self indulgent prick. And she lets him be. She feels guilty, yeah right, she’s a doormat. She loves the idea of him rather than who he actually is.
Second Chance Romance.
Dion lived in New Zealand from 8-18, so when his career in England comes crashing around his ears, he hops on a flight to visit his best mate, Sean for a couple of weeks. He wouldn’t object to hooking up with Sean’s sister again, though they haven’t seen each other in over 12 months; what he doesn’t expect is the shock Megan gives him when he arrives at Sean’s house. Loved this story, recommended read.

Second Chances
Megan was going to Prague for the romantic weekend she had scheduled with her ex. Dion was in Prague for business. They had seen each other since he left England when he was 18 and she was 15. Who knew they would meet on a bridge. They end up spending the day and night together before his meeting. Now a year later he’s in New Zealand to see his friend Sam, who is also Megan’s brother. But does she have a surprise for him.
There was two short stories in the book. I would have preferred more character development instead of long sex scenes. The stories were quick easy reads.
His Christmas Present by Serenity Woods
With Remember Me (bonus novella)
I am guaranteed a good story when I pick up a book by this author…every time…without fail!
HIS CHRISTMAS PRESENT
This is a romance but it is also a story of family, friends and big life decisions. Dion left New Zealand eight years before the story starts and has returned to his friend Sean’s house to regroup and contemplate his future. He has devoted himself to his career and thought all was right in the world but had the rug slip out from under his feet…or so it feels. When he arrives he is smacked in the face with a huge surprise that can be considered a gift…if he can wrap his mind around it. This is a second chance romance and one that had the hero really thinking, growing and coming to some big realizations that led to decisions that would impact his life forever…and though there were some rough patches…the ending was JUST what I wanted it to be. I loved Megan’s assurance and maturity and though I might not have agreed with one of her decisions understood why she decided as she did. I thought Dion was a man that lost his way for a bit but was so glad he found it again.
REMEMBER ME
An unexpected delight! Well, I did expect and excellent story but this one delivered big time indeed 🙂 Hamish is home from military hospital and a bit in limbo…his body and mind were impacted by an IED and he is regrouping and trying to come to terms with the changes he faces. He has a niggling feeling Rose is important to him but is not sure why. When he arrives at the family beach home with his brother Eamon he relaxes and sees Rose again. The two are given a second chance together and what a sweet story this turned out to be!
Two splendid stories to make your Christmas better – you will feel, care and then want to share these stories with others.
Thank you to the author for the copy to read in exchange for my honest review.
