Quincy Ryan was just handed custody of a son he didn’t know existed. He knows how to be an architect, not a dad, so he looks to his own father for guidance, but that means moving with Pops to Marietta, Montana. She lost her mom as a child, too, and hasn’t had a real Christmas since, so she identifies with four-year-old Atlas.
An advent calendar of activities soon has Nicki pulling Quincy out of the house to get a tree and ice skate with his son. She wants Quincy to open his heart to Atlas, but begins to fall for the Ryan men herself. It makes the countdown to her last day, Christmas Eve, bittersweet. Easygoing and I enjoyed reading this book very much. It was engaging
Well written. Just a nice story. Easy reading.
Nice story, good characters, great ending.
Happily ever after. To predictable.
enjoyed the book, but would have preferred leaving description of sexual
encounter out. I don’t want to know what goes on behind closed doors.
I enjoyed this book tremendously. It had all of those Christmas traditions I wish I had had time for. I loved the family feel of it!
Really loved this story, heartwarming. She knows how to make all the characters interact to tell a great story. The ongoing Montana connection is a great device.
Slow reading hard to get into. The end was better, but not my kind of book.
A wonderful Christmas story with characters that come off the pages and into your life. Little Atlas, with his broken heart and speech impediment, will steal your heart. A feel-good story.
I enjoyed reading it and searched the library for other books in the series.
Reminded me of a hallmark movie special that I love to watch
Enjoyed reading about the lives and development of the plot. I purchased the whole series Love the characters and plot development.
like Christmas stories
Interesting book about new father learning how to deal with a child he didn’t know existed. Good story
Easy read
I really enjoyed reading this book. I looked forward to seeing what the characters would do next. Admired how far someone would go to help a child as well as the adults.
I enjoyed almost everything about the book except the totally unnecessary graphic sex near the end. The interaction between Nicki and Atlas was sweet, and the gradual relationship between Quincy and Atlas was realistic. Clean it up a bit, and it would be a really outstanding book.
A truly enjoyable story with great characters. The repartee is entertaining and witty, the underlying theme is endearing. I loved this book!
I enjoyed reading this book. It gave me a cozy feeling!
I found myself really wanting to see what was going to happen. I really liked all of the characters and cared about them.
