Lucas brings his fiance to his home in Montana to get married. The bride to be picks a neighboring farm to have the wedding where Erin lives. Lucas knew Erin as kids but they have not seen each other in a while. Is Lucas supposed to marry his bride and live happily ever after in New York or will he stay in Montana where his heart longs to be in more ways than one! This was a wonderful book and I could not put it down.
I usually don’t like sweet romances but I made an exception because the book blurb sounded interesting and I’m glad I did. I liked Erin and Lucas ‘ story very much because it gave hope that sometimes friends can become something else somewhere down the road. But I did think Lucas was a little slow on the uptake because most reasonably intelligent guys would recognize when a woman feels more than friendship for him, especially if they’ve shared an intimate moment. But I guess he was so insecure about his ability to make a decision that it passed him by. Sometimes, it’s good to have family around especially if they’re close. I really enjoyed my foray into the lives of the St. Clair and Tanner families. Well done.
Strong characters and great storyline. You won’t put the book down. Worth re-reading time and again. Another one for my Keeper file.
Any book in Montana immediately catches my attention. I enjoyed this book.

It was a very interesting read. I love books set in Montana. The ranch was typical of a ranch in that time period.
Good read no sex no cursing
Enjoyed this book
I love these Marietta books!
What a sweet, clean romance that is anything but straight forward! Erin has had a crush on Lucas since they were both very young. Lucas used to spend a lot of time at the ranch where Erin lived with her Dad. They were best friends. Then Lucas went off to college and they just never connected again. She still lived at the ranch–he lived in NYC trying to live up to the family business and his brothers. He met a women and they were going to get married. Luca was really easy going but insisted on the wedding taking place in his hometown. She happened to spot Erin’s families ranch and decided that would be the perfect spot for the wedding—this fiance was a Bridezilla–and that is putting it mildly!!
Erin was friends with Lucas’ sister and she was convinced to go to the engagement party—that is where they re connected in a big way–but still called each other friends–but the spark was there. They both tried to ignore it—and this is where the story gets interesting!
There were parts that had me heartbroken for Erin–parts that made me shake my head in disbelief–and parts that made me happy! This is a novel that anyone would enjoy!
