The forbidden fruit has never tasted so good…or so bitter. I’m Eva Marone, and my father says I’m going to hell. After Adrian Saylor dumps me at the altar, I ditch my pastor’s daughter image and become a sinner. Sin number one I quit my job as the church receptionist and move to LA to work as a cocktail waitress, at the Little Black Dress. Sin number two. I lose my virginity during a …
Sin number two.
I lose my virginity during a one-night-stand to a hot stranger whose name I don’t even know… inside an elevator.
The morning after, I find my sinful moment splashed across the pages of a tabloid magazine, my dirty little secret on display for all the world to see.
As it turns out, my one nightstand is Neal LaClaire. He’s not only one of the most eligible bachelors, he comes from one of the wealthiest families in the world.
Being in the spotlight–in a negative way–has never been in my plans, but how can I clean up my image when the press refuses to back off? Every time my face appears in the paper, the stain on my reputation darkens. Until Neal makes me an offer I can’t refuse.

Neal & Eva two souls each tortured in their own way. They had to find one another. After a steamy encounter in an elevator things become very complicated but they need each other. This doesn’t feel like insta-love but it’s definitely insta-heavy like that could grow to more.
The Cocktail Girls novellas are quick reads yet a complete story with an HEA. I like that I can read them in one quick sitting, still get the romantic flutters and still be a functioning member of society.
Love it… You never know when Love will find you, and even though you may feel you are not ready, NEVER ignore the pull…
Neil and Eva
What a fun quick story to read. A second chance at happiness for them both. Great writing. Look forward to checking out more from this author.
An easy read for Sunday. Very enjoyable novella.
Reading is my way of relaxing since it lets me inside other lives. This book is a short novella and I found myself drawn into the two lives this story is centered around.
Eva Marone was left literally at the altar and decides to leave her hometown and spread her wings while she licks her wounds. She ends up in Las Vegas and finally lands a job at the Little Black Dress gentleman’s club.
Neal LaClaire is a billionaire and a widower, in Las Vegas to try and find some part of his dead wife in the suite where they always came to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Neal feels a connection to Eva he hasn’t felt since Sonia and what starts out as a no strings attached evening ends up to be a nightmare that Neal feels he should fix for Eva since he is the well known person that the tabloids printed photos of what took place in the elevator at the Millennium Hotel.
The connection between Eva and Neal is unmistakable but for reasons of their own neither feels it is anything lasting, because they are both broken.
Grab yourself a copy of this book and discover for yourself how the story ends.
Dori has done it again with another LaClaire brother to fall for.
This is a quick short read but is very good, the story is about Eva and how she moves away from her small town after being standing at the altar. She goes off in search of a new start to her life even though her father doesn’t want her too. The story is fast paced but I love how you just fall in love with Dori’s words in this book. I was hooked from the start and you can never get enough of these brothers. I can’t really say much without spoilers but if you have read the LaClaire brothers series then you are going to love this novella.
Dori wrote a sweet and romantic little story. I enjoyed it. It was filled with a lot of emotions from Neal and Eva. This book, to me, was a little different from the previous ones, which I liked. The fact that they both overcame pain and loss and ended up happy together, is worth the read.
This was a fastpaced story, full of feels. It started out kind of sad, but quickly got hot and steamy. Then Eva had to go back home, but Neal showed up and made everything better. I hated to see it end… I need more of Eva and Neal’s story.
