This was a fantastically beautiful and broken romance that just breaks your heart. The characters each have their own heartbreak and demons they need to work through. I loved the characters and the story had a great flow. I would recommend it to others!

This is my first time reading something by this author and I enjoyed it very much. This book had quite an emotional storyline, hitting on the issues of grief and depression. I think Ms. Gibs did a good job of tackling these issues and bringing them to light. The characters were well-developed and were definitely realistic and people I could really connect with. Both Wes and Angelina were sweet and lovable characters and it was clear they both were perfect for each other. Ms. Gibs really brought the story to life with her writing and I could clearly feel the emotions that the characters were experiencing. A very well-written and heartwarming story that I definitely enjoyed. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

This is the 2nd book I’ve read written by Kristy Gibs; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the characters.

This is a quick and easy read. The storyline is well-crafted, intriguing, suspenseful, has drama and steam. The characters are defined, and likable with sizzling chemistry. I liked it.

Lilly loses her fiance shortly before their wedding and it puts her into a deep downward spiral of depression Wes is the spark that she needs to start living again These two are friends long before it shapes into anything else you can see this is going to happen but it is very well handled. The sometimes dark subject matter is handled very well in this book es the depression that Lilly suffers is part of the book but it isn’t allowed to drag the book to a screaming holt. There are a few editing issues but I was reading an ARc so hopefully they have been corrected
Angelina has lost her fiancé Matthew in a bombing months later she meets Wesley/Wes who was Matt’s sergeant. Wes made a promise to Matt that he was not able to keep as he was in hospital for months from the same bomb. Now that Wes has met his Angel he has fallen in love with her, but a jealous woman will do everything to tear them apart. I enjoyed seeing this story come together at the end and everything they went through to get their happy ending. After losing her finance Mathew, a marine on tour in Afghanistan in an IED explosion Angelina falls into a hole full of loss, pain and sadness that she works hard at trying to pull herself out of, and with a new job and a new apartment she slowly starts to pull her life together. After attending a benefits dinner for fallen hero’s Angelina meets Marine Wesley Johnson a close friend of her late fiance and after a few speed bumps they form a close friendship that turns into something more than either one of them bargained for. I really like the story of Wes and Angelina, the characters were very sweet and lovable and the story line very emotional.
This story made me ugly cry and I haven’t cried over a book since Message from Nam. This is a story about how a person can over come loss and find a way to continue on even though it is the last thing that they want to do. Lina has had true love and is truly lost when that love is taken away from her. With help from family friends and professionals she is able to rebuild her life a little different. But will love be in the cards for her?
This is truly a great story, and I will be watching out for the next one.
