A Regency Romcom novella from bestselling author Tessa DareIt’s the first rule of friendship among gentlemen: Don’t even think about touching your best friend’s sister. Sebastian, Lord Byrne, has never been one for rules. He’s thought about touching Mary Clayton—a lot—and struggled to resist temptation. But when Mary’s bridegroom leaves her waiting the altar, only Sebastian can save her from … temptation. But when Mary’s bridegroom leaves her waiting the altar, only Sebastian can save her from ruin. By marrying her himself.
In eleven years, he’s never laid a finger on his best friend’s sister. Now he’s going to take her with both hands. To have, to hold…and to love.

Great novella! This story had so many hilarious moments I laughed my way through it while watching the hero and heroine fall wonderfully in love. And there was a twist too that I didn’t see coming.
Tessa dare is a brilliant romance author. This book of hers is a treat you don’t want to miss!
This is a perfect Regency period Romcom novella. It was such a fun story to read. So much laugh-out-loud snarky humor. Lovely, sweetly, sensual and funny. Highly recommend. 4-4 ½ Stars with 2 ½ heat level.
This story was short, but very sweet! I often re-read it.
This was a quick regency novella that I really enjoyed. Lord Byrne is a man who definitely steps up. Lady Mary has a few surprises up her sleeve. I love her independent spirit and her confidence. There were definitely some funny moments and plenty of steam. Sebastian is unbelievably hot and has such a good heart.
This delightful little novella is currently free (at the time of posting). Tessa Dare is one of my auto one-click authors. And this short read is truly her style. It’s funny, emotional, and with a surprising twist at the end. One moment I was laughing like a hyena (I haven’t laughed that much from books lately, even with romcoms) , then the next I was crying . This marriage-of (not so)-convenience, best friend’s older sister trope is light and fluffy, sweet and funny, it’s a perfect short read if you want to finish in one sitting. I just wish that it were written in full length novel with more character depths, but it’s a novella, so I wouldn’t complain .
5 read for me!
Thoroughly entertaining read. Loved the characters and the humor.
Short and sweet. A delightful read. A sort of friends to lovers – stay away from your friend’s sister story. Good, intelligent dialog. A bit of humor, a surprise at the end and a lovely, little epilogue.
Rated 4.5 stars
His Bride For The Taking was sweet and sexy. I loved the banter between the main characters and the fact that the hero was grumpy and the heroine was sassy and gave as good as she got. I highly recommend to those in the mood for a quick, sweet and light read.

My review :
Can he go against everything he fought all these years to fulfill his own dreams…
What a delightful read it was.
Mrs Tessa Dare in this short read compiled much of her talent to deliver a swoon worthy novella with two charming characters.
Sebastian appointed himself as Mary’s knight. He and only he can protect her. So he does, even if it means marrying her himself, which is no penance when he has longed for her for over a decade.
Mary is opinionated and strong willed, she knows what she wants and at time goes for it.
I liked she was older then Sebastian, even if it is a short year’s difference, it shows them under a new light.
I devoured this novella in one sitting and can only recommend to any one who is looking for a spirited tale with an unconventional Miss and the man who worships her path. Embark in this rollercoaster of emotions.
