Is it too much to ask for a relationship that works? When Stella Grant realises her perfect romance is a lie and that she’s the other woman, she flees to her remote cottage in the Highlands to lick her wounds.Billionaire currency trader Jack Maclean has nothing but contempt for the woman who stole not only his sister’s fiancé but quite possibly a family heirloom to boot. Nonetheless, he wants … Nonetheless, he wants answers and he intends to get them. A quick trip north should do the trick. Never in a million years could he have predicted a kamikaze sheep and inclement weather would leave him stranded.
Jack might be gorgeous but Stella isn’t in the market for a man, especially one who hates her. No matter how attractive he finds her Stella is the very last person Jack should want. The trouble is, they’re all alone and the chemistry is irresistible, and, well, what happens in Scotland stays in Scotland, right?

Good book.enjoyed it
I loved this book – gobbled it up in one sitting. Real characters, with real issues keeping them apart.
Good quick read not a lot to the plot but enough to stay interesting. I would have liked more passion. There is one small sex scene and that is it.
I loved the characters. Situation was a little contrived, but I don’t need realism as much as I need good people being happy.

Although the end is predictable there are interesting issues they work through.
Great read
I liked this book. It was a different twist on a billionaire romance.
Great read – thanks!
HIS BEST MISTAKE is a standalone read with a HEA. I loved it. It is a bit steamy if that is an issue for you. A young woman discovers the guy she was falling in love with has a fiancee and has been lying to her. She leaves him behind as she escapes to her cottage in the Highlands. A place of solitude she just wants to get away from everyone and heal. She was doing just that until a car comes up her driveway and a gorgeous man gets out of the car, obviously looking for a fight. He is the brother to the fiancee and he has come to avenge his sister. He explodes all over her until he calms down and she tells him what really happened. What happens next is a lovely romance. I really enjoyed it and definitely recommend it.
I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 6/26/19
Good read. Recommend
Beautiful
Stella didn’t have a lot of love in her life, her parents are dysfunctional at best so when she met Brad/Ben and he pursued her, she thought it was great until his fiancee called. She goes to Scotland to the cottage her grandmother left her. Jack’s sister Cora was the woman hurt by Brad and he wanted to confront Stella. He just didn’t expect her. He hasn’t been himself since his wife’s death.
This is a well written story. Full of angst. For a story that kind of lacks a “chase” it was still full of anticipation for the characters. Sweet, a bit of a tear-jerker. I love a good story where the hero has to dig themselves out of the pit they made.
Very enjoyable book.
This was a typical romance novel that somehow was more compelling to read. The writing was more intricate and the characters were very human. They had flaws and yet they were both like able as well as interesting.
such a twist from seeking revenge to falling in love.
This one’s a keeper.
Cute book
I really enjoyed these characters. They were interesting and made the story so much more original.
Was a very good read. Vivid characters and a warm stòry.
