My new boss likes rules, but there’s one nobody dares to break…No touching his banana. Seriously. The guy is like a potassium addict. Of course, I touched it. If you want to get technical, I actually put it in my mouth. I chewed it up, too… I even swallowed.I know. Bad, bad, girl. Then I saw him, and believe it or not, choking on a guy’s banana does not make the best first impression. I should … the best first impression.
I should backtrack a little here. Before I ever touched a billionaire’s banana, I got my first real assignment as a business reporter. This wasn’t the same old bottom-of-the-barrel assignment I always got. I wasn’t going to interview a garbage man about his favorite routes or write a piece on how picking up dog poop from people’s yards is the next big thing.
Nope. None of the above, thank you very much.
This was my big break. My chance to prove I wasn’t a bumbling, clumsy, accident-prone walking disaster. I was infiltrating Galleon Enterprises to follow up on suspicions of corruption.
Cue the James Bond music.
I could do this. All I had to do was land the position as an intern and nail my interview with Bruce Chamberson.
Forget the fact that he looked like somebody carved him out of liquid female desire, then sprinkled on some “makes men question their sexuality” for good measure. I needed to make this work. No accidents. No disasters. No clumsiness. All I needed to do was hold it together for less than an hour.
Fast forward to the conference room before the interview, and that’s where you would find me with a banana in my hand. A banana that literally had his name on it in big, black sharpie. It was a few seconds later when he walked in and caught me yellow-handed. A few seconds after that was when he hired me.
Yeah. I know. It didn’t seem like a good sign to me, either.

So I had to pick this book up because of its title . I thought how can a book like this not be filled with laughs. I was not let down , however it was more serious than I thought it would be . Bruce and Natasha are complete opposites but you know they say opposites attract . This book was great you will not be disappointed with this read.
“No touching his banana” …4.5 stars!
As an investigative reporter for a business magazine, Natasha Flores goes undercover to dig up dirt on CEO Bruce Chamberson. While waiting to interview as an intern at Galleon Enterprises, Natasha stumbles into the employee break room to ease the growling in her belly. Ignoring the Sharpie pen writing all over the banana she’s caught eating it by Bruce. Oh my god. This part is so funny. Of course, all the employees know not to touch his “property.”
“He caught me eating his banana and he hired me to punish me.”
As his unpaid assistant, Natasha has to deliver the perfect banana each morning at the same time of day.
Bruce Chamberson loves order in his life. Well, his routine has become a defense mechanism to control chaos in his life. Bruce is still stinging from the betrayal of an ex-girlfriend and he’s done with relationships. But there’s something about Natasha and how she stands up to him. There’s a part of himself he keeps secret, but can he finally open his heart for a woman like Natasha?
Ms. Bloom delivers a witty romantic comedy filled with funny banter and heartwarming moments. I have to admit my dirty mind went naughty with that title. His Banana is a wonderfully romantic and fun read with lots of laugh-out-loud hilarious scenes. I received and voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
This book has me smiling and laughing on the first page. The witty and amusing way the book is written had me in stitches and laughing out loud one minute and then gasping at the twists the next. A brilliant read light hearted and will brighten up your day.
You’ll have to overlook a few things if you want to enjoy this book:
There are many, many childish, nudge-nudge-wink-wink “banana” innuendos. Many, many, many…
1. Both Bruce, the hero, and his brother, William, are walking sexual harrassment suits. Guys, you can’t make sexual remarks to your employees these days. It’s frowned upon. That’s just a little tip from me to you. You’re welcome.
2. The whole premise of “I’m going to hire this intern to punish her for eating my banana and make her quit” is pretty silly
3. If you don’t appreciate a bumbling, walking calamity of a romance heroine, this book isn’t for you. Seriously, Natasha can’t walk across a room without embarrassing herself.
4. Even though she’s a fake intern, Natasha is remarkably unprofessional. She even gets blackout drunk at a client meeting. And who, during a job interview, lets herself into the employee kitchen and helps herself to food in the fridge? How crazypants is that?
5. Here we have yet another reporter who wants to report on “big news”, but ends up in a position that will make her dig up dirt on a man she’s obviously destined to fall in love with. I might have seen that trope a time or ten. (Or twenty…or more.) And while we’re on the subject, for an undercover investigative reporter, she certainly didn’t do much investigating. It kind of made me think her boss was right to not give her any big, important assignments.
6. How does one eat a banana without noticing that someone has written their name on it in Sharpie?
7. How anal is a guy that writes his name on a banana in Sharpie? How about you keep your banana in your desk drawer like everyone else, Bruce?
Now, if you can overlook all that, the book’s actually not terrible. It’s fairly well-written, and there’s some fun back-and-forth between Bruce and Natasha. The sex scenes are suitably steamy. There were a few times I chuckled while reading. (I didn’t get into laugh-out-loud territory, but it was sort of funny at times) I’ve certainly read worse books.

Laugh out Loud!
I laughed and laughed and laughed. Lol. What a sweet, lovable, very well written story. Natasha is a reporter and she is tasked on finding out some dirt on billionaire Bruce, but what she gets her hands on lands her in a whole lot of trouble. In this case, His Banana! Too funny. Filled with her clumsy antics and inner dialogue along with a straight laced OCD Entrepreneur and you are in for a fun read. Loved it! 4 solid stars*****
His Banana is a funny little romp. It’s quick, easy to read, and I promise it’ll make you grin.
A friend recommended this and I am so glad she did. I loved everything about his book!
Funny, tongue in cheek, read. If you need to run away into pure mad cap hilarity and steamy lovin, this book is hands down a winner.
This is a light-hearted and hilarious rom-com involving Natasha, an undercover journalist, and Bruce, her boss and subject of her article. From the way they meet, to the banter, and poor Charlie the empathetic dog, I had a smile on my face. While the intimate scenes are hot, there is more foreplay than sex in this book, and I loved the watching Natasha and Bruce fall in love. There are great side stories, too; parents, sibling, an ex. If you want a light, feel good read, grab this one.
loved loved loved this book it was smart, funny, sexy and full of innuendo, it made me laugh out loud what more can you possibly want from a book.
I loved this story of Natasha and Bruce. At times it made me laugh out loud and then look around to see if someone heard me thinking I am crazy. The things that Bruce and Natasha do to each other are great. They make the perfect leads for this story. It is extremely well written and the flow of the story is amazing. The characters are extremely well developed and I loved how the ending was. It was great to see what happens to them at the end. This is definitely worth reading and it couldn’t possibly disappoint.

Natasha Flores was a grade A walking disaster. If a day went buy where she wasn’t late, covered in spilled food or walking into walls it was a dream. She lives in a crappy apartment she can’t afford, working at a small business paper trying to make her break in the journalism word. When her boss approaches her with the assignment of a lifetime, unlike the crap jobs he normally does, she feels this is her time to shine. Can she fake it til she makes it?
Bruce Chamberson, along with this twin brother, owns a quickly growing Advertising agency. Bruce, unlike his twin, is very structured, regimented and routine with his daily schedule and interactions. Every day before lunch he has a banana, a single banana he writes his name on and leaves in the employee lounge as a way of staying on the same page as his employees. One day he walks into the break room to find his banana in the mouth of an intern.
Natasha and Bruce embark on a teasing, quick wit, fast moving relationship that starts as Bruce being attracted to Natasha but not wanting to be so he tries to get her to quit her internship. Natasha being undercover on assignment can’t quit so she puts up with everything Bruce dishes out.
There joking quickly turns to flirting which turns to love in rapid fashion. Throw in a wild twin brother, a lazy homeless brother and a dog with a nervous tummy and you’ve got His Banana.
I’ve read a few books by this author and this is a break from her usual style, though not in a bad way. With all the heavy stuff in the world these days, it was nice to have a quick, lighthearted read with silliness and sarcasm vs draining plot lines. I received an advance copy without any expectation for review; any and all opinions expressed are my own. 4 stars for this happily ever after read by Ms. Bloom.
First of all, the title was not what drew me to the book, but after I read the blurb I thought it sounded interesting. Can I just say, it was really funny. Really funny! I loved the characters, except her brother who I would want to smack upside the head if I was a smack upside the head kind of person, which I am not. Now that I think about it, they both had annoying brothers. Hmmm
Anyway, I enjoyed this funny love story and would read other books by this author
It was everything and so much more. A real treat and a delight.
I loved this book. It’s funny, it’s sweet, it’s steamy. The characters are great. Bruce has been hurt and his OCD tendencies help him cope. I love Bruce, even when when he’s being difficult. I love klutzy Natasha, who doesn’t hesitate to tell him exactly what she thinks. The only thing she can’t bring herself to do is to tell him is that she had an ulterior motive when she took the internship because surely that will end whatever it is that’s happening between them. The story is kind of zany and the whole thing about his banana is just so comical that you can’t help but laugh. I loved this engaging romance.
I chuckled my way through the first two paragraphs of this book. Ms Chaos meets Mr OCD perfectionist had me laughing outloud to the point of tears, at times. This delightful Rom-Com is the pure reading experience. Natasha and Bruce couldn’t be more opposite if they tried. On paper they would spell out disaster but they just click. It’s not all smooth sailing but there is an HEA and it’s well worth your time to read this book.
A wonderfully unique, funny, well written just plain awesome, cute, and steamy story. I really enjoyed this story of a struggling reporter pushed to get dirt on a billionaire CEO. Bruce a man who turned hard and cold from being badly burned having his shell cracked one incident at a time as this clumsy reporter slowly breaks his defenses down. It has many laugh out loud moments as Nastashia gives as good as she gets. Will she get her story and succeed or will she end up loosing losing everything including her heart? I story thats a breath of fresh air including keeping me on my toes as to how it would turn out for the two. I highly recommend this book full of chemistry, laughs, and quirky loveable characters. A must read and add to your permanent library for future rereading.

This is my honest and voluntary review of this ARC.
Bruce – twin brother to William, co-owner of the business and extremely in control of organization in his life. He had been hurt very deeply in the past and made a vow never again. Part of that healing process is his extreme organization, right down to what and when he eats.
Natasha – usually late, klutz, sister and a journalist being sent as an intern at Bruce’s business to get some dirt. Late for her interview, and now caught eating the boss’ snack.
Bruce hires her on the spot and makes life difficult on Natasha from day one, his goal is to make her quit. Natasha is too proud and needs to prove that she has what it takes as an undercover journalist.
Bantering between these two is all the time, but there is a side to both of them that realize how they feel about one another. Neither are brave enough to admit it. However things get heated several times before secrets are revealed. There is so many things that transpire between these two that sizzle, fizzle and all the fun in between.
A definite must read. incredibly fun book with all the right amount of yum!
Quick fun read
Loved this book. Characters are great. Lots of humor in this book. Couldn’t put this book down.
This is a delightful romantic comedy. Natasha and Bruce are over the top when it comes to quirky. This is a fun and light read for an afternoon. Will Candace and William have a story? Looking forward to it.
