My new boss likes rules, but there’s one nobody dares to break…No touching his banana. Seriously. The guy is like a potassium addict. Of course, I touched it. If you want to get technical, I actually put it in my mouth. I chewed it up, too… I even swallowed.I know. Bad, bad, girl. Then I saw him, and believe it or not, choking on a guy’s banana does not make the best first impression. I should … the best first impression.
I should backtrack a little here. Before I ever touched a billionaire’s banana, I got my first real assignment as a business reporter. This wasn’t the same old bottom-of-the-barrel assignment I always got. I wasn’t going to interview a garbage man about his favorite routes or write a piece on how picking up dog poop from people’s yards is the next big thing.
Nope. None of the above, thank you very much.
This was my big break. My chance to prove I wasn’t a bumbling, clumsy, accident-prone walking disaster. I was infiltrating Galleon Enterprises to follow up on suspicions of corruption.
Cue the James Bond music.
I could do this. All I had to do was land the position as an intern and nail my interview with Bruce Chamberson.
Forget the fact that he looked like somebody carved him out of liquid female desire, then sprinkled on some “makes men question their sexuality” for good measure. I needed to make this work. No accidents. No disasters. No clumsiness. All I needed to do was hold it together for less than an hour.
Fast forward to the conference room before the interview, and that’s where you would find me with a banana in my hand. A banana that literally had his name on it in big, black sharpie. It was a few seconds later when he walked in and caught me yellow-handed. A few seconds after that was when he hired me.
Yeah. I know. It didn’t seem like a good sign to me, either.

A banana, really!
Absolutely loved this book. I was laughing out loud (which never happens) and felt like I was transported right into each scene. Highly recommend this book.
LOVED IT!!! SO FUN!!!
This book cracked me up a lot. Loved the story and the characters. Great read.
Couldn’t finish it. It had some decent parts but too many banana puns and not enough substance.
Improbable, but entertaining billionaire office romance
This book is not what you think! OK, maybe it is, though not in the way you might assume based on the title, the banana referenced there is definitively a fruit. The premise is as predictable as it is improbable. Klutzy girl that is trying to eke out a living as a reporter goes undercover as an intern in successful company in hopes of finding dirt on the hot CEO and finally landing the big scoop. Said CEO has been burnt badly in the past and so has closed himself off and devoted all his energy to his business, but somehow he finds it more and more difficult to resist this intern who is not afraid to mouth off to him.
Sounds like a ton of other office romances, but it is written in such an engaging style with equal parts of sweetness and sexiness mixed in that it makes you forget the whole improbability of the story as well as some glaring plot holes. A diverting read for a day on the beach or when you are having the slumps as it is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. 3.75 stars.
I laughed out loud at many parts. It was such a fun read, and I loved the quirky hero.
Natalie Flores is a walking accident waiting to happen but exceptionally smart. She is a journalist assigned to gathering dirt on Bruce Chamberson, CEO of Galleon Enterprises.
Bruce Chamberson is a brooding, organized, overwhelming control freak. His daily activity of daily living is arranged in advance.
When the two come together sparks fire flies like a new year eve party where opposite does attracts. I loved the flirtatious humor between the two.
OMG! I just loved His Banana. What started as an accidental snack theft turned into a reluctant whirlwind romance. I couldn’t stop reading this one until the end. I fell in love with the characters in this book quickly and definitely recommend the entire Objects of Attraction series.
Absolutely loved this book.
Adored Bruce and Natasha. They were such an adorable couple in the end.
Loved their connections and their fun banter mostly over his bananas.
I laughed aloud so many times reading it my Family thought I was nuts.
This book was was very witty and and quick paced romance.
I loved the interaction between the two characters. The dialog was sharp and made you laugh out loud.
Loved the HEA.
Can’t get enough of these characters, these books, this author. Just the right mix of give and take without the women seeming like weak airheads. More!
I really enjoyed His Banana (that sounds so bad.) This enemies to lovers romance was sweet & steamy. The main characters were likable & you could see positive character development as time went by. The romance was a little fast, but worked well into the plot. The only negative was that the editor appeared to have left for their own banana in the middle of the book. For about 30-40 pages the editing went south. It was just for those pages, though. It got better at the end of the book. Weird. All in all, I loved this story.
I laughed and chuckled all the way through this very adult book. Looking forward to more from Penelope.
Very funny
I found the characters banter was cute and funny. This is the first book I’ve read from Penelope Bloom and I really enjoyed it.
Ohmygod!! I laughed so hard while reading this book. This book is HILARIOUS! And romantic!!!
It was just a spontaneous decision that I saw this book in suggestions and immediately started reading it. I’m not regretting that decision AT ALL.
Every character along with Bruce and Natasha were fantastic. Bruce was the cold, closed off billionaire. But I understood his defense mechanism. It was fairly reasonable. And Natasha was clumsy to say the least(I can relate to her so much) but along with that she was smart and kind.
I still can’t get over the sugar in coffee scene.
This book is the first by this author I have read. It was slap your Momma funny and all out sexy!
Natasha is a chaos magnet, total klutz, walking disaster who is always late. Bruce is a cold sexy robot, who is obsessive compulsive with perfection tendencies. Total opposites but not to they attract.
Highly recommend.
Great, this book had me laughing several times. Good humor and fantasic chemistry has this book, so you keep reading. The characters and storyline are well written and easy to follow. From me 5 stars .. a real topper to read if you want to laugh.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I loved this book. Characters were funny and chemistry was good.
The female lead got our hero to loosen up a little for her. Showed him what he was missing in his life. Could not put it down. So far the whole series is great.
Penelope Bloom is the best Rom Com writer in my opinion. His Treat has Ryan and Emily feeling their way. another We get to see William (His Cherry Book 2) and Ryan’s roommate Steve. These two have brought slapstick back. I really enjoyed this book . We’ve had His Banana, Her Cherry and now His Treat. Can’t wait to see what she has next.
