I’m not leaving your side, Memphis. You are my home, Angel, so where you are, is where I want to be.”CREEDCreed Stephens lost his heart when his wife died in an accident that also took the life of his unborn child. He threw himself into his job as a trained sniper, no longer caring about anything other than his team. After one disastrous mission, which left him broken and battered, he entered the … him broken and battered, he entered the real world again. Creed lived only for his club and his position as its road captain. Love was something Creed never wanted to feel again. He knew loss and drowned in it every single day—at least, that was until a brown-haired, sweet, and stubborn goddess insisted on reminding him that loss wasn’t a reason to stop living.
MEMPHIS
Memphis Van Elsen had experienced far too much loss in her young life. She lost her parents, her sister, and her sight. The one person she had left was the only person she loved, the only person she wanted. But how could she compete with a ghost? Did she want to? All she knew was that the deep, aching love she felt for her former brother-in-law made her wish for things she shouldn’t. When a chain of events forced them together, would Memphis be able to make Creed see she can be the one for him, the one to make him smile again? Or would Rogue rip her heart’s desire away from her before she ever got the chance?

I will try my best to express my feelings for this book, without giving anything away! Be prepared! You will need copious amounts of tissues at hand before even starting this book! The 5th book in the Wounded Souls MC series focuses on Creed, the Road Captain.
Creed had an amazing life. Married to his only love, who had been his since he was 14, happy beyond words. Until, suddenly, he wasn’t. Life after his wife and unborn child are gone is like living a shadow of a life. He isn’t really living, only existing, day to day. The only bright spot is a little girl, brought into his life by one of his MC brothers, that holds the heart of each man in their eclectic family.
Memphis had a rotten childhood. Uncaring, oblivious parents left her permanently blind at a young age. She lost her parents (horrible as they were) and her only sister. Despite her disability and less than stellar upbringing, she has managed to carve a life out for herself. She is self-sufficient, and happy. But there is something missing.
This book….It started with tears, and I was in tears again by the end. The story of Creed and Memphis was a beautiful one of second chances, forgiveness, and renewal. Watching them move from friends to a couple was absolutely awe inspiring. They both deserve a HEA, after everything that they have gone through. This story could be read as a stand alone, as the focus is on the building relationship of Creed and Memphis. However, there is also an ongoing story that continues from book to book, that will be harder to follow if you have not read the other books. Regardless, don’t forget the tissues!
