I did things a little backwards, as this is the first in this series that I have read. This story just appealed to me, and it hooked me! Now I definitely have to read the first two, and am eagerly waiting for more in this series!
Lighthearted, silly, fun, and very well written! I giggled my way through this story. I loved that Hudson and Allie kinda knew each other for years, and finally, senior year, both decide to make their move. I was tickled by the fact that despite only being acquaintances, they each had nicknames for the other. Hudson is a bit of a loner, ambitious, possessive: a quiet alpha. Allie is outgoing, a bit ditzy, has hidden depths, and is an utter sweetheart! I really liked how they were kinda opposites, but not completely. This is definitely a story I’ll be reading again!
Allie is the hopeless romantic that you can’t help but like. Hudson is the guy that you can tell doesn’t show anyone who he really is. But, you can tell that Allie is a weak spot for him. He might come across like he doesn’t like Allie, but you know deep down he knows she’s it for him. One break in Hudson’s reserve is all Allie needs to decide that it’s game on.
Another sweet love story for anyone looking for a quick read.
3.5-4 Viking Filled Stars!!!
This is the third in Mayra Statham’s Kappa Sweets Series. I was really looking forward to Allie’s story bc I’ve needed answers from what happened at the frat party.
Allie is the President Of the Kappa Sweets sorority. She is in charge of everything they do and she also volunteers at the childcare for single parents as much as possible. Allie works hard for everything she has.
Allie can’t understand why the handsome, sexy, mysterious Viking driver from SideRides is nothing but mean to her. And, then he shocked her by kissing her after walking her to her door, and then telling her it was a mistake.
Allie wants to get to know who this mysterious Viking is. Since she’s not going home for Thanksgiving she has come up with a plan to get to spend time with the driver without technically asking him out.
Hudson laid eyes on Allie his freshman year. She was walking home late one night and he got worried for her safety, so he followed her from afar to make sure she got home safe.
It was that reason why Hudson came up with SafeRides, an app that allows the students to get rides back and forth wherever they need.
Hudson doesn’t think he’s good enough Allie. He thinks she’s a spoiled, rich girl and he doesn’t want no part of not being equal to her.
Over Thanksgiving break she starts scheduling more rides and asking him to stay or go with her. Hudson definitely goes along with it and realizes he was completely wrong about Allie.
These two are your beauty and the beast. I really liked them. This was another nice quick read. The only thing that’s pissing me off we still don’t know if Allie was drugged in the very beginning of this series. Everybody is just shrugging it off and it doesn’t make sense.
Other then that I liked this story. I’m looking forward to the next couple in this series.
Hudson sees Allie as just so spoiled rich girl. He has had a thing for her since freshman year but will it ever be any more than that?
Allie has a thing for this blonde viking driver. He seems to hate her. Can she prove to him that she is the one he wants?
This was a great read. Look forward to the next one!

His Airhead reminds me of that saying “You Should Never Judge a Book by its Cover” which is exactly what Hudson does to Allie. He assumed she was one way when in all reality she was the complete opposite. And after getting to really know her he realized just how stupid he was for letting so much time go bye when they could have been together. That was one thing that annoyed me. The way Hudson came across like a jerk to Allie when she didn’t deserve it. However, I loved how Allie stood up for herself and called him out when he acted like that. She was no doormat. She told it how it was and went after what she wanted which was her blond, bearded Viking in a white truck. Loved that. Of course Mayra Statham gave us a little peek of what’s next to come in this series. The next book is titled “His Goober”. Now I don’t know about you guys but I would never want to be called a Goober, so I’m a little curious on how the candy will come into play. But you never know, Mayra might change my mind on the whole goober thing, I’ll just have to wait and see.
Happy Reading everyone
I received this ARC for my honest review
I’m loving this series so much. And this short story didn’t disappoint either. I loved the chemistry and the laughter between these characters. The storyline was so good and enjoyable that I couldn’t stop reading once I started it. In my opinion it was a fantastic edition to this series.
Allie may be president of Kappa Sweets, keeping their house in shape, running all their events and fundraisers, and putting in lots of volunteer hours at the childcare for single parents, but Hudson convinces himself that she’s a spoiled trust fund baby. However, it does not keep him from volunteering to pick her up every time there’s a call to or from Kappa Sweets for SideRides, the transport sharing app he developed for the campus at U of D. Allie has noticed the handsome man she calls ‘the blonde bearded Viking’ because she does not know his name. Although he habitually followed her to the Kappa house from the night class she took in the Spring semester of their freshman year, it is only in their senior year as he walks her to the door as he always does when delivering her after a ride, that he shuts her up with a passionate kiss. This leads one of her sorority sisters to give her ideas on how to prompt Hunter to introduce himself while the two are left on campus during Thanksgiving break. A fun fast read!
Another fun, hot quick read from the Kappa Sweets Series. This is the president of the sorority Allie and Grumpy Viking Hudson. Loved it and devoured it in one sitting. Can’t wait to read the other sorority sisters stories.
I received an ARC and volunteered to leave a review.
I’ve enjoyed this whole series so far and I’m glad to have my “who’s the surly driver” question answered. I’m even happier to see that the Bearded Viking isn’t surly, he’s just shy AF and feeling a tad insecure about the woman of his dreams. Allie and Hudson have a quick, funny, enjoyable story and I loved her attempts to maneuver dates without ever truly asking for them. Of course, Hudson isn’t stupid, and yet he’s more than happy to play along, albeit by his rules.
This series is similar to a Tarrah Anders’s Neighborhood series in that each story is quick, sweet, and easy to devour in one sitting. I’m excited for what comes next to the girls of Kappa Sweets.
I read His Airhead in one sitting, absolutely enthralled with chatty Allie, president of her sorority and grumpy Hudson. These two are without a doubt the most adorable couple, joining the ranks of the couples from the first two books. Hudson really shows his romantic core when he decides to let Allie in. Allie’s kind heart and willingness to help are a large part of what makes her shine so brightly. These two are so perfect together, giving me all the feels that several hours later I am still sighing with happiness. I am so over the moon thrilled that this series is continuing; I will be anxiously awaiting book four. Mayra Statham is a gem of an author, she is nothing short of amazing!
Allie and Hudson’s story was such a fun read. Loved this sassy, sweet, romantic novellA. This is my favorite so far in the kappa sweets series. I loved these 2 characters-Allie and her sassiness and Hudson and his caveman protection of her. Five stars.
