He needs someone to work with his son, she needs a job. They need to keep their hands to themselves.Welcome to Seattle, the Emerald City and home to The Single Dads of Seattle. Ten sexy single fathers who play poker every Saturday night, have each other’s backs, love their children without quarter, and hope to one day find love again. This is Mark’s story …Single Dad of Seattle Dr. Mark Herron … …
Single Dad of Seattle Dr. Mark Herron can’t believe anyone would celebrate their divorce. The dissolution of his marriage left him and his son with a huge hole to fill in their home–and their hearts. So when he overhears a lovely stranger and her friends celebrating the end of her marriage, he’s mystified–and then intrigued–by her determination to put the past behind her. But when he learns that Tori Jones needs a job, he knows this can’t be a coincidence.
Tori might be telling the world nothing’s got her down, but the truth is she’s hit rock bottom. Her husband didn’t just cheat on her, he took all her money, including her college fund, which means her marriage is over, and so is her dream to go to grad school and help children with special needs. So when a handsome stranger offers her a job caring for his special needs son, she knows she can’t turn it down–
Even if what she’s feeling for Mark is far from professional.
Now Mark’s finding it hard to keep his hands to himself and Tori’s struggling to keep her thoughts from straying to dangerous territory. Will they be able to keep their distance from each other or will being hired by the sexy single dad be Tori’s biggest problem of all?
**Note: This book can be read as a standalone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, cursing, and of course as with all my books, this has an HEA and no cliffhanger or cheating. If you like single dads who take charge, this book is for you.

This is the first book in the Single Dads of Seattle series and it looks like it’s going to be an amazing series!
This is Mark and Tori’s story. They meet at a bar where Tori is celebrating her divorce from her cheating ex. He hires her to help take care of his autistic son. Sparks fly between them but they take it slow. When her ex reappears in her life will it be the for their relationship?
This story will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride that you’ll be glad you were on! Whitley did a great job showing how autism affects the whole family! I can’t wait for the next book in the Single Dads of Seattle series!
This is the first book in a series all about single dads in Seattle and how they find love and rebuild families with the women meant for them
This is Mark and Tori’s story Mark is a radiologist a single father to a child on the spectrum. Whe he and Tori have a surprise meeting at a night out they are surprised ta the spark between them The thing that draws them even closer together his Gabe he is Mark sons and surprise Tori is a specialist on children with his disorder as she bonds with Gabe she grows closer to Mark Will they build a happy family you will have to read to see. This is a deeply emotional story that draws you and keeps you engaged until that very last page
An unexpectedly emotional story. Mark is very protective on his son Gabe who is “on the spectrum” . Finding the one person who can look after him, challenge his limits and guide him in his endeavours is both difficult and frustrating. But a chance encounter leads to Tori. The one person who accepts Gabe unconditionally and is credentialed for working with the handi-capable. Passion sparks and soars until one devastating moment when it all crashes apart. Can errors be corrected? Can trust be restored? Can anger be forgiven? This is the first story of the ‘Single Dads of Seattle’ series and I look forward to seeing how these gentlemen find their treasures.
No one comes out unscathed by divorce. Mark and his son, Gabe are no exception. Mark has the extra challenge of a nonverbal autistic child. He needs someone to work with Gabe one on one since school funding has been cut. His needs are met in unusual fashion. He meets Tori by accident, sort of. He overhears her celebration of her separation. When he sees her face to face, he knows he must see her again. Since she works with special needs children, it couldn’t be more perfect.
I adored Tori. She is a woman coming into her own after her ex put her through everything that shouldn’t have been. She is confident in her job with Gabe and makes such leaps with him. The fact that she has feelings for Mark just add to her strength. I especially enjoyed her visions of her uncle to redirect her thoughts. Mark is a complicated man. He seems to have it all together but still has walls around his heart taller than the tallest building. Tori gets in and that frightens him. Their relationship is complicated since he pays her to work with Gabe. Waters get muddy fast. Will the love they share be enough?
This is the first book in The Single Dads Of Seattle series.
If you are looking for a book that is a highly emotional read
than this is definitely for you.
Mark was having a drink by himself because his friend couldn’t make it
when he heard some females making toast to one of them over the end
of her marriage. Tori is not really into toasting the end of her marriage but kept
that to herself. Mark went to their table to offer his congratulations kind of.
Will that is really the start of their story.
This one read that will have you Falling for the main characters and turning each
page to see what is going to happen next.

Single Dads of Seattle is a new series that is just fantastic Book one Hired by The Single Dad. This is Mark and Tori’s story. This series is about a group of single dads. This is a true page turner, a very emotional and passionate tale. A second chance at love. Whitley Cox delivers every time and I’m looking forward to more from this series. 5 Stars
Mark is sitting in a bar listening to a woman who is celebrating her divorce he’s shocked and then he’s intrigued. Tori is out with her friends celebrating her divorce from her cheating EX. This meeting between Tori and Mark ignites a sparks but neither act on it so quickly . Mark offers her a job to help take care of his autistic son Gabe. As the time goes by Mark and Tori build a romantic relationship after the first kiss. Tori’s ex starts to cause problems. Mark and Tori’s relationship is already a little bit rocky because they’re both in their heads with past experiences not willing to go all-in. Her ex coming around is the test that they didn’t expect. Now does Mark fight for the woman he’s falling in love with or does he just give up because of all the drama and protect his son Gabe. What happens to Gabe if they decide to call it quits.
I was totally captivated by this well written story from the very first page! The characters were written with such great detail and depth that as I turned each and every page I felt like Mark and Tori jumped from the pages and pulled me right into their story as it flawlessly unfolded! I was so engrossed in this story that I ended up reading it in one sitting!
What a fantastic start to this wonderfully different new series. I loved Tori, Mark, and Gabe’s story, not to mention Gabe just stole my heart. Whitley Cox gave us a well written love story with great side characters along for the ride. I could not put this book down and I’m looking forward to book #2.
New 10 Book Series Looks Promising with this Book One.
First I like the idea of this series. Ten divorced guys coming together as a quasi support group disguised as a poker game. Each book focuses on one of the men. Book one is about Mark who has an Autistic boy, Gab, and hires a Special Needs Therapist, Tori, for intense in home and school work.
Tori is newly separated from dentist Ken, her husband who she caught cheating on her with his dental hygienist. Mark has been divorced and has full custody of his son.
There is strong attraction between Tori and Mark. Should they act upon that? What happens to her job? Why doesn’t Mark take her anyplace public? All good questions that Tori keeps pondering.
I loved the storyline. It grabbed me immediately and held my interest as their relationship went thru all sorts of highs and lows. My heart went out to Gab many times. Kudos to the author who wrote about autism with such sensitivity and clarity.
Definitely recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure.

Whitley Cox is one of my favorite three authors. Hired by the Single Dad is just another example of how interesting and easy to read her stories are. After taking days to read the last several books, i devoured this one in a matter of a few hours. It’s hard to tell why her books are so interesting. Is it because she always has a kid as a main side character? I love that, but no, she has books without children. Well, there is always hot sex that turns to love, but that’s not the reason. Her stories always include characters you pull for 100%, whether they are billionaires or down on their luck, mistreated, poor young ladies. They are real with their strengths and weaknesses and usually face up to their foibles and thus mitigate or overcome completely their flaw. This first story of a new series has the single rich doctor hunk Mark, father of on the spectrum Gabe, falling in love with the talented but unwanted Tori, whiperer to the autistic. Too bad he chose his son over Tori, doing them all a huge disservice. Can this book have a HEA?
This book had a lot of depth. A hard working father with a son, who just needs a little more attention than other children. She is a woman full of ambition to help special children with their daily problems. The book reads wonderfully away, I have lived very much with them .. I also wiped away a tear. I am very curious about the rest of the series, if they are all as good as this one, I am still reading. Thats why 5 stars from me. The characters are well described and have good chemistry. It had everything for me .. thank you Whitley.

Mark is a radiologist and a single dad to a child on the spectrum. A night out for a group of ladies celebrating a breakup catches his attention. The gorgeous lady they are toasting doesn’t look thrilled. After a conversation with her, he discovers she is a special needs therapist and exactly who he has been looking for. Too bad he doesn’t tell her the job he knows about is for him and his son but a colleague. Starting out on that wrong foot doesn’t deter Tori as she met Mark’s son first and fell in love with the nonverbal little boy. But the attraction building between them comes to a boiling point and its bound to get messy. Can two people who have been burned so badly take a chance on love again?
There is nothing like a book that sucks you in and doesn’t let up until the last page. I discovered Whitley Cox about a year ago and she knows how to spin a tale with fabulous characters that you can’t forget! I loved Tori and Mark’s story, I loved how their story played out. Their attraction is so passionate and intense, you can feel the heat between them. Mark’s friends in the single dad’s club are awesomely represented and I didn’t feel like they were just there to tease for future books. Thankfully, this is the start of a series as I fell in love with all these characters! 5 stars for Whitley Cox’s Hired by the Single Dad!
3 1/2*
Mark was waiting for a friend when he overheard Tori’s friends celebrating her divorce. Tori certainly doesn’t look like she’s celebrating, they strike up a conversation and he can’t believe her passion and career choice but will she accept a proposal he has?
The job offer is too good to be true and Gabe is adorable.

Coincidence or fate brings Dr. Mark and Tori together one night in a bar as she is celebrating her resent divorce. But it is the love and support for his special needs son that takes them on a emotional journey of love and acceptance. Whitley Cox created a world filled with single fathers that rely on each other for encouragement and support and I want the map to go find them. This book had it all – humor, hot sex and a special little boy who stole our hearts. I absolutely loved this book and cannot wait for the next in the series.
This stand-alone story of a single father falling in love with his son’s caregiver does not cling to cliché. The plot offers twists and mistakes that Mark & Tori have to work through if they hope for any future. Can they each overcome their past? Are they willing to risk again? W hat about Gabe and Mark’s fears and intense need to protect him?
This is definately worth the read, and answers await.

A quite predictable yet enjoyable tale. Several Seattle dads have bonded over poker & their experiences of being a single parent. Some are more jaded & angry than others & not open to relationships.
Dr Mark meets Tori celebrating her divorce with friends. Telling her he has a job for her treating a friend’s autistic son. Turns out it’s his & they are in for a whirlwind dealing with him & their relationship.
Of course true love never runs smoothly when she encounters her ex leaving his son exposed to danger. Tori has already developed feelings for both & has a hard time adjusting to it. So you’ll need to read it to find out if they find their HEA. You also gain an insight into some of the other fathers, whom no doubt will be in future books.
A nice, feel good tale.

Tori needs a job her life sucking ex asshole husband stole her life from her. Mark needs someone to help with his son, but not just anyone. Once he meets Tori he has to stop himself from falling all over her. I love the angst of this storyline. It’s every parents job to find the person for their kids when they need help but Mark doesn’t realize he is finding the woman that will save him too.
Tori is left penniless by her cheating husband. Mark is a single dad with a young special needs son. After a accidental meeting, Tori is hired to care for Mark’s son. It turns more than just a employer/employee relationship and compilations sets in. The story is sweet and sexy. Hired by the Single Dad is part of the Single Dads of Seattle series. These dads meets up weekly to play poker. I can’t wait to read about the other dads.
Review copy was received for a honest opinion.
