He needs someone to work with his son, she needs a job. They need to keep their hands to themselves.Welcome to Seattle, the Emerald City and home to The Single Dads of Seattle. Ten sexy single fathers who play poker every Saturday night, have each other’s backs, love their children without quarter, and hope to one day find love again. This is Mark’s story …Single Dad of Seattle Dr. Mark Herron … …
Single Dad of Seattle Dr. Mark Herron can’t believe anyone would celebrate their divorce. The dissolution of his marriage left him and his son with a huge hole to fill in their home–and their hearts. So when he overhears a lovely stranger and her friends celebrating the end of her marriage, he’s mystified–and then intrigued–by her determination to put the past behind her. But when he learns that Tori Jones needs a job, he knows this can’t be a coincidence.
Tori might be telling the world nothing’s got her down, but the truth is she’s hit rock bottom. Her husband didn’t just cheat on her, he took all her money, including her college fund, which means her marriage is over, and so is her dream to go to grad school and help children with special needs. So when a handsome stranger offers her a job caring for his special needs son, she knows she can’t turn it down–
Even if what she’s feeling for Mark is far from professional.
Now Mark’s finding it hard to keep his hands to himself and Tori’s struggling to keep her thoughts from straying to dangerous territory. Will they be able to keep their distance from each other or will being hired by the sexy single dad be Tori’s biggest problem of all?
**Note: This book can be read as a standalone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, cursing, and of course as with all my books, this has an HEA and no cliffhanger or cheating. If you like single dads who take charge, this book is for you.

Until next time… Happy Reading!
Hired By The Single Dad is book one in The Single Dad’s of Seattle series and in this book we get Mark and Tori’s story. Mark is a divorced father of a son on the spectrum and needs help. Tori is a special needs therapist who recently left her cheating husband and needs a job. The author did a great job with the sensitive subject of Autism, how it affects both the relationship between son and father and also Mark and Tori’s new relationship. This is a beautiful love story and a great start to The Single Dad’s of Seattle series.
Story line is great and I loved the characters. I really enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it! Unexpected twists and turns had me reading this book in one sitting. Great storyline and character development made this book a hot and enjoyable read!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is Mark and Tori’s book and is the first book in the new series. I really enjoyed this book it was really well written and quickly sucked me in. Mark and Tori meet while on a night out he is a single day with a specials need son and she is a special needs therapist. These two had great chemistry and I enjoyed getting to know them I am looking forward to the rest of the series
Sometimes when you are down and out, life throws you a curve that can turn everything around. Tori was having a night out with the girls discussing her cheating ex-husband when their conversation was overheard by Mark. Not one to usually eavesdrop, Mark could not help but insert himself into the conversation as he is all too familiar with what being divorced entails. However, when the women leave him and Tori alone, he hits the jackpot when he realizes that she needs a job and he is in need of help for his son with special needs, Gabe. The attraction between Mark and Tori is burning high and when she meets Gabe, he is taken with her as well. However, the longer that Tori is in Mark’s employ, the harder it is for both of them to maintain a professional distance. When Tori’s past resurfaces, will it destroy again everything that she holds dear? This is one well written storyline as Ms. Cox brings awareness to the reality of what it means to be a single parent with an autistic child and the challenges one faces. I am excited to read the next books in this series and lucky for readers that the author has included a sneak peek into the next one. I highly recommend this book.
I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book and all opinions are my own.
Hired By The Single Dad is the first book in the Single Dads Of Seattle series by Whitley Cox.
The idea of a group of single fathers supporting each other is fantastic and unique. Hired By The Single Dad has a great plot and is very relatable.
In this is single dad romance, the hero, Mark, has a child on the spectrum. I liked that this story included a child with special needs, and Gabe got portrayed very realistic. I also liked how the author put a spotlight on how autism affects the family of the child.
I loved the connection Gabe and Tori had, and the father-son relationship between Gabe and Mark also was very beautiful.
I quickly fell in love with Mark and Tori, but Gabe is the one who holds a special place in my heart. The connection and love between these characters are constantly tangible.
Mark and Tori’s chemistry was evident from the moment they met. This couple is perfect and made for each other. Tori was the missing piece of this family’s puzzle.
The sex scenes were well built-up, but for me personally, they were a little short.
Hired By The Single Dad is narrated by Allyson Voller and Zachary Johnson. They did an excellent job and brought this story to life. Their voices matched well together, and every emotion, action, the event was audible in their voice. In my opinion, they made the story even better.
Hired by the single dad is a highly entertaining audiobook. The narration is on point, the story is entertaining, and it will keep you engaged from start to finish.
I was expecting more
Audiobook version: 3 stars overall, 3 stars narration, 3 stars stars
This is a predictable contemporary romance, and I found parts of it annoying. It had a bunch of good points. The male narrator was excellent and really brought Mark’s chapters to life. Mark’s son Gabe is adorable and seems realistic for a boy on the spectrum. The woman’s therapy for the boy also seems very realistic. Both main characters had pretty good and likable personalities. It is a steamy romance with a charismatic single dad who is also a doctor.
Overall, I suppose that Whitley Cox’s writing style is not my cup of tea. While I appreciate that the main characters took a while before they jumped into bed together, the incessant sexual fantasies every two minutes or less really became annoying. Sometimes it happened every thirty seconds, and it had me rolling my eyes a lot. It became so frequent that I even worried about them ignoring the child. Then, after they started having sex, the story became so focused on their graphic bedroom exploits that the relationship development was too slow for me. Also, the two characters did not share their feelings enough. My last pet peeve in this audiobook was how the female narrator sounded robotic for portions of many sentences.

Hired by the Single Dad was my first book by this author and I went in completely blind as I do most books so I was definitely pleasantly surprised by both the storyline and the writing.
Mark is a divorced single dad and also a doctor so he works long hours. His son is also on the Autism spectrum and the intervention therapist that works with him recently quit so his plate is more than full. Tori has spent the better part of her marriage working multiple jobs putting her husband through dental school so he could up and cheat on her with a hygenist and kick her out of their house. In a strange twist of fate, she works with special needs children and Mark has offered her a job with his son, despite their attraction to each other and the knowledge that things could get messy.
There were a couple of smaller parts of the book I struggled with, but they didn’t take apart from the story overall. It was generally engaging and I enjoyed it from start to finish. I thought Mark and Tori had great chemistry and I loved how good Tori was with Gabe. I listened to the audiobook and I thought both of the narrators did a great job overall. Both were pleasant to listen to and complimented the story. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
One crazy night out with her friends, Tori is celebrating her divorce, and looking for a job. Her education is children with special needs. At the same bar, Mark over hears her conversation. She would be perfect for a position he has to fill. Mark is the father to Gabe, a cute, adorable special needs boy. He needs one on one assistance. He arranges for her to meet Gabe and offers her the job.
Their attraction to each other can jeopardize her job. One mistake from her past puts Gabe into danger.
Tori and Mark are a perfect couple. and Gabe is a remarkable character in this story.
Zachary Johnson and Allyson Voller are amazing narrators. they captured the personalities of each character with perfection.

What a perfect romance. Falling in love with your boss is definitely not what is supposed to happen but luckily the boss feels the same way. And when you add a child into the mix it just makes a perfect story to listen to. I loved all the characters in this book and the way it was written flowed beautifully.
Cute and a little angsty single dad/falling for the boss romance.
This is book one of a single dads of Seattle series and it features Mark and Tori and his absolutely precious son, Gabe, who is on the autism spectrum. Tori is hired by Mark as his son’s aide and they have immediate attraction.
You know the deal, there’s the should we/shouldn’t we part of the storyline typical of this trope, but, along the way we get to fall in love with all 3 of these characters.
The author also does a great job introducing several other single dads who are part of this little group and are part of eachother support group.
Tori is the perfect person for this adorable dad and son duo! She has a heart of gold as well as the training and compassion needed for this job. Mark is pretty darn swoony except for one part in the story where I want him suffer.
There are parts of this I really wish were more fleshed out, but overall I enjoyed it and I think I’m going to enjoy the rest of this series as well!
Narration by Allyson and Zachary was fantastic!
Audio Review: Hired by the Single Dad (The Single Dads of Seattle #1) by Whitley Cox, Narrated by Allyson Voller & Zachary Johnson
Everything about a Whitley Cox story makes me want to smile. Hired by the Single Dad brings the funny wrapped in heart and romance. Mark and Tori are at a crossroads after some heartaching personal setbacks. Love has not been kind the first time around, but then again sometimes romance can prove sweeter the second time around. Delicious has a sweet center with a spicy edge.
A great kickoff to a new series about single dads supporting each other.
I really enjoyed this one. Both main characters were really likable as well as the child that brought them together. I especially have a soft spot for children on the spectrum and liked how this one was done. I liked the general flow of the story and the ending was really sweet. I did feel that their big conflict was one that could have been avoided with better communication, but I also feel that given the special circumstances I could kind of see why the talking didn’t happen when it should have. But even with that, I wouldn’t hesitate to try another book from this author.
One really big plus was the narrators. Allyson Voller and Zachary Johnson were both exceptional and I’m really happy that I got to experience some newer narrators paired with a different author. It further proves to me that I liked their performance and not just the story. I hope to hear more from both of them in future.

A fantastic read as usual. I can always count on good plot that will keep me entertained. I enjoyed reading this story.
This was a single dad’s romance and I have to say, I’m looking forward to the other books in this series because I really enjoyed this one and loved the supporting cast of other single fathers. I really loved Tori- although she had a bad run, her patience and love for Gabe, a child with autism, leapt off the page. She was a fantastic heroine. Mark was also a fantastic father. There were some really heartbreaking and heartwarming moments between the adults and the child and I teared up a lot of times.
i listened to the audiobook and Allyson Voller and Zachary Johnson were great! They really got into the story and their reading allowed me to get fully immersed in the story.

This was the first book I’ve listened to by Whitley Cox, and I’m interested in reading more. As a single parent who’s been through a divorce, I was able to relate to many of the characters. It would have liked a little more humor to make it a solid 5. It was predictable, but still good. I also appreciated the inclusion of an autistic character.
I listened to the Audible version. Zachary Johnson was a new narrator for me. He and Allyson Voller did a great job and I would listen to them both again.

Single Father romance fans, meet the start to a new series to obsess about. I am one of these fans. This book was just what I love and so much more. Tori and Mark both know the pain of a broken marriage. They actually meet when Tori’s friends throw her a separation celebration. Mark tells Tori about a doctor friend he knows who needs someone for his autistic son. Tori takes the job and finds out it’s Mark. Tori ends up being just what Mark and his son Gabe needed. Feelings start to develop and they cross the line of employer and employee. Then Tori’s past comes into the picture to almost ruin it all. I loved this book! The relationship between Gabe and Tori was so sweet and had my heart clenched. Then the heat between Tori and Mark was off the charts. I loved meeting the members of the Single Dads Of Seattle. I can’t wait for more! These narrators were the perfect voices for this story. They fit Tori and Mark and really what I would envision them sounded like if I read the book instead of listened to it.
Loved loved loved it !!
Great characters…steamy sexy single dads !
Would definitely recommend this book
I received a free copy from voracious readers only
This was my first Whitley Cox’s book, and won’t be my last. This is the first book in the The Single Dads of Seattle Series. This is a great start to the Series. I love Single Dad Romance! Mark and Tori’s story is sweet, heartwarming, and beautifully written. They share an instant attraction, and an undeniable chemistry. Gabe, Mark’s son with special needs, is such a great addition to the story. The supporting are great and intriguing. Zachary Johnson and Allyson Voller did an amazing job with the narration. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listen to Dancing with the Single Dad, Adam’s story, the next book in the Series. #AudiobookObsession #PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock
Hired by the Single Dad by Whitley Cox is a contemporary single dad romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Allyson Voller and Zachary Johnson. This is the first book in The Single Dads of Seattle series and can be read as a standalone.
The book comes with a note “This book can be read as a standalone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, cursing, and of course as with all my books, this has an HEA and no cliffhanger or cheating. If you like single dads who take charge, this book is for you.”
This is the first book of Whitley’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I absolutely loved the relationship that bloomed between Mark and Tori. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
Allyson and Zachary did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would highly recommend this book if you love single dad romances, sweet romances, or contemporary romance.
