They don’t play for the same team. Or do they?
Jamie Canning has never been able to figure out how he lost his closest friend. Four years ago, his tattooed, wise-cracking, rule-breaking roommate cut him off without an explanation. So what if things got a little weird on the last night of hockey camp the summer they were eighteen? It was just a little drunken foolishness. Nobody died.
Ryan … died.
Ryan Wesley’s biggest regret is coaxing his very straight friend into a bet that pushed the boundaries of their relationship. Now, with their college teams set to face off at the national championship, he’ll finally get a chance to apologize. But all it takes is one look at his longtime crush, and the ache is stronger than ever.
Jamie has waited a long time for answers, but walks away with only more questions—can one night of sex ruin a friendship? If not, how about six more weeks of it? When Wesley turns up to coach alongside Jamie for one more hot summer at camp, Jamie has a few things to discover about his old friend…and a big one to learn about himself.
Warning: contains sexual situations, hotties on hockey skates, skinnydipping, shenanigans in an SUV and proof that coming out to your family on social media is a dicey proposition.

This book! Ahhh, this book! It is everything I look for in not only a m/m romance, but in any kind of romance novel-a friends-to-lovers story with 2 incredible characters that you just can’t help falling in love with, a great storyline that’s low on the angst scale, little drama, and what drama there is, is easily overcome, and a whole lot of sexy!
I adored both Wes and Jamie, both so different but oh so perfect for each other. Wes, with his tattoos, piercings, and fun attitude…”I do science on the side.” Jamie, with his understated humor, sweetness, and confusion. “God, when I go gay, I really go gay.” “Are there unicorns and orgasm fairies dancing around here?”
God, in my head I have all these wonderful things to say about this book but they just won’t translate very well here, they’re stumbling all over themselves trying to get out! I love the friendship these 2 shared; I loved watching Jamie process his feelings for Wes, as he came to the realization that he loved him in a whole new way; I loved how Wes gave Jamie the time and space to figure things out for himself; I loved Jamie’s family and felt for Wes because of his.
Him is funny and flirty, it’s sweet and sexy, it’s thoughtful and thought-provoking, This is friends falling in love done to perfection. It’s romance at its finest. Him is ALL.THE.THINGS.
“You’re worth it,” I whisper. … I’m worth it.” Heck, you are both worth it!!!
It’s been a while since the last time I read M/M romance and I tend to dislike the.. Details.
I still am you know, don’t really enjoy the details, but I sure love the connection between characters. I loooove Elle Kennedy’s writing and since this is the first time I read Sarina’s work, I’d definitely read more from her.
From the story, there’s nothing that I want to change; I enjoyed this book so much though reading it while I’m working with my male coworker sitting right next to me is a minor mistake. Not that I’m afraid he’d peek what I’m reading, but simply because I keep imagining him hooking up with my other male coworker and that’s just.. Urgh. >< But overall, what a book! Look forward to read more from this series!
