Highlander The Demon Lord by Donna Fletcher
Highland Warriors Trilogy Book Three
Warrick of Clan MacDevlin has been searching for his wife. Now, he’s finally found her and isn’t letting her go. Not that he cares for her…his father taught him well never to love. He had taught Warrick how to be a heartless warrior and he’d done very well at it.
Adara was so full of fear that it was like a part of her. She’d learned early in life that she wasn’t wanted. A servant girl being moved from place to place every few years. No matter what she did to please…no one ever wanted to keep her. When her uncle finally found her, she finally had a home.
Great series. Three tough warriors are brought down by women who now own them heart and soul. From the first two books, it was hard to imagine Warrick being redeemable…but things aren’t always as they seem.

I do love a good Donna Fletcher Highlander story and The Demon Lord did not disappoint. There is a fantastic hero whom everyone feared and a heroine who used her fear to become a strong woman who loved with all her heart even though she had known no love her entire life. Warrick and Adara’s story is one of learning to trust and turning to each other when they had questions instead of turning away from each other. Adara was able to give all the love she held in her heart to Warrick who had never known what love really was. When danger threatens them both Warrick vows to let nothing hurt his family. However, there are a lot of secrets that threaten to do just that. The relationship between Warrick and Callie added a lot of fun humor. The Demon Lord is a very well written story with lots of humor, sexiness and a wonderful H&H. I loved that these characters were not perfect, and it was heartbreaking that they both had known such pain in their life. This author pulls you in at page one and the reader will not be able to stop until the last page. The plot was good, flowed well and I loved it! Romance like this always makes me smile. I also love it when the H&H are already together and face things as a strong, loving couple and their chemistry was breathtaking. Another hit for this author!!!!
Adara’s life has been filled with dread and apprehension, never knowing if she’d live to see the sunrise, or if she even wanted to. From an early age, she’s served others—traded, sold, or given away. Warrick is called the Demon Lord for good reason. He is ruthless and cares for nothing—or no one—which makes him the perfect man to carry out the King’s unsavory and sometimes brutal tasks. All I can say is wow! This book was amazing as were all three in the series. I absolutely loved this story. I loved Warrick and Adara and their story. You can read his as a stand alone but I would read the other two first so you can have a better understanding. Definitely recommend!
Highlander The Demon Lord by Donna Fletcher is book Three in the Highland Warriors Trilogy. This is the story of Adara and Warrick.
I am not sure I can ever put into words how much I love Ms. Flecther’s stories / writing! I would easily give her books a 100 stars if I could.
This book took me into the story from the first page and couldn’t put it down until the last one.
Adara has had a harsh life trusting little or no one. Warrick is a harsh, cold leader but his one weakness is Adara. Although he is slow to show it but it is nevertheless the truth. Adara is in danger because of the lands she has inherited but Warrick is out to protect what is his.
I do think you will enjoy the stories more if you read them in order but this can be a standalone book.
Highlander The Demon Lord (Highland Warriors Trilogy Book 3) by Donna Fletcher, but can be read as a stand alone. Warrick, aka the Demon Lord, cares for nothing and no one and is ruthless, or so most believe. He carries out the King’s unsavory and sometimes brutal tasks. Adara, has served others, been tortured, traded, given away, or sold and mistreated from an early age. She has known very little kindness in her life, she’s been scared her entire life. She’s learned to be submissive and obedient, that is until Warrick comes into her life.
Fast paced, well written and well crafted with well developed, intriguing and engaging characters. I have loved Warrick and Adara from the very beginning. Although, Warrick is ruthless, at times, he has a kind and gentle heart, especially with Adara. Adara brings out the best of him and he’s helps Adara overcome her fears.
Filled with danger, intrigue, suspense, mystery, romance, twists and turns, and surprises. The reader will find themselves carried away and glued to the pages by Warrick and Adara’s love and Adara’s will to survive. She is a fascinating and captivating heroine. This is the conclusion of what’s been a captivating and intriguing trilogy, “Highland Warriors”.
Another must read by Donna Fletcher.
