She’s blind, yet he’s the one who cannot see.Snow might be blind, but it doesn’t stop her from seeing the powerful and fierce Lord of Fire’s true nature. He’s pigheaded, domineering, demanding, and completely frustrating. The few encounters she’s had with him when he’s visited the Clan Macardle did not go well, especially when he threatened her pup, Thaw. She intends to avoid the fiery Lord of … Lord of Fire as much as possible. Unfortunately, there’s not much she can do when an unexpected snowstorm throws them together along with an unwanted stay at his keep.
Tarass, the Lord of Fire, has never met such a willful, disobedient, unpredictable woman as Snow, and her protective, snarling little pup doesn’t help matters. She infuriates him at every turn and when he’s forced to save her from freezing to death in a raging snowstorm, he makes it known to her that under no circumstance will he allow the compromising situation to force him to wed a blind woman.
There is more brewing then the love they both try to avoid. Tarass is on a mission. He intends to seek revenge against the person responsible for his parents’ brutal deaths, while also faced with two murders that must be solved, a myth that has woken and frightened his clan and must be put to rest, and a man who is intent on taking Snow away from him.
In the end, the truth that is discovered is far different than what Tarass could have ever imagined and the only thing that matters to him is Snow. There isn’t anything he won’t do to save her.

Highlander Lord of Fire by Donna Fletcher is book Three in the Macardle Sisters of Courage Series. This is the story of Tarass, the Lord of Fire and Snow Macardle. I have read (and LOVED!) the previous books which did add to my enjoyment of this one but you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so. Tarass is out to get revenge on his parents death so he is focused on that but he keeps butting heads with Snow, who is the half-sister of James Macardle. Tarass is taken back about how little control he has on her. When Tarass finds Snow lost in a snow storm with her dog Thaw, he must save her. Bring these two together in a snow storm that are stuck in. Snow who is blind has settled into her ways of being single knowing that is her future other than being a sister and aunt. Snow’s feelings for Tarass of those of dislike just as he feels about her but when they are stuck spending time together things and feelings start to change.
Loved their story…this series just keeps getting better. I am a big fan of Ms. Fletcher’s writing so this was a must read for me…Loved it!
Highlander Lord of Fire by Donna Fletcher
Mcardle Sisters of Courage Series Book Three
Snow Macardle believes she’ll never marry or have a family of her own. Being she’s blind, who would want her? So, she’ll enjoy her nieces and nephews. She also has her pup, Thaw, who helps her get around, she needs no more than that. And then her life turns upside down. Rescued by a man she hates as much as he hates her…she finds something unexpected…kindness.
Tarass, Lord of Fire, Clan MacFiere, can’t believe James Macardle doesn’t keep a tighter rein on his blind half-sister. Especially after he finds her roaming around alone in a snowstorm. He can’t wait until the storm moves on so he can return the beautiful, stubborn woman to her home.
Much more is going on at Clan MacFiere. Tarass has been searching for why his parents and the Sandrik village were slaughtered. Why two men connected to him have been murdered. It’s a puzzle and pieces are missing. Loved this trilogy…as of all this author’s stories. Great characters and storylines.

Highlander Lord of Fire
Macardle Sisters of Courage Trilogy Book 3
by Donna Fletcher
WOW! This was THE book I was waiting for! I knew that Tarass was not what he seemed in the previous two books, he came off as a very domineering unfeeling brute that would not hesitate to exact punishment to the unfortunate soul that would cross him. Especially one spitfire of a woman who he can’t keep from tangling with. Snow has always rubbed him the wrong way and she never hesitated to tell him what is what. The tension between them is a prelude to something more potent they’re not yet aware, until Tarass comes across Snow and a Thaw in a blizzard that forces them to marry!
Tarass has no time for love he’s bent on finding the reason and motive behind his parents death, and falling in love with Snow is out of the question until her life is in peril does he realize that she means more to him that he ever thought!
I loved the witty dialogue and banter, Snow isn’t a timid mouse even though she’s blind. Lots of chemistry and sizzle and I really enjoyed the mystery it really kept me intrigued till the end. I never would have guessed on the villains identity.
As always Donna Fletcher did a phenomenal job! This is in my opinion a WINNER! I highly recommend reading them in order you get the enjoyment of meeting Tarass and Snow. Once again this was an Amazing series and it definitely goes on my keeper shelf.
This is my honest unbiased opinion.
