Thrown back in time to fulfill the promise of a dying woman, Audrina must find her destiny in the wild Scottish Highlands — and discover the man that fate chose for her hundreds of years ago.Audrina James was only trying to stop the old brooch from being stolen; she didn’t know that touching it would send her back in time to medieval Scotland! But the brooch belonged to Audrina’s ancestor, a … Audrina’s ancestor, a woman who died tragically on her wedding night and swore to her last breath that she would be reunited with her true love — and Audrina is her mirror image.
It’s been one year to the day since Colin MacLaren’s bride suffered and died at the whim of a bloody-handed English occupier. So how is she standing before him? No matter how adamant her protests that she doesn’t know him — no matter how crazy her story about coming from the future — Colin is sure this woman is his lost love. Now if only he can convince her of that.
Together they must navigate the vagaries of fate that brought them together, their own scorching physical attraction, and the ever-present danger from Colin’s enemies… including a certain murderous English nobleman who knows Audrina must be a witch. After all, didn’t he kill her with his own two hands?

I have not read a bad book from this author yet and this book is no exception! The great plot and character development kept me so engaged throughout the entire book that I had a very hard time putting this book down until the very last page was turned!

Highlander Found. Well this writer has brought her readers another Highlander romantic love story. This story will have you running to the Scottish Highlands to seek your own brawny man. The love story is based around the married couple of Colin and Audrina. I like how the writer brings me into the story with the dramatic and highly intense story of a Scottish Lass held captive.
All that transpires in the first few pages definitely convinced me that this book is a page turner. The entertainment and action made the book an exciting read. I don’t believe that I was bored at all. The characters are all very entertaining. Little Donal, is the most entertaining of them all. He definitely gives his mother, Mary a run for sure.
The romance between Colin is a slow build, but once Audrinia comes to terms with things, she unleashes all that she needs from Colin, on him. This is a loving story that I really enjoyed reading and I look forward to reading again. Until next time my fellow readers… read on!
GreT read for taking your mind to another place.
Highlander Found by Rebecca Preston (Highlander In Time book #1)
I decided to give the book a try when it popped up on my Kindle feed and even though it was a decent book I have to agree with the fact that it needed an editor badly. But given that it’s a story of Time Travel from present time to the past with Scottish Highlanders I’d still give it a 4 star rating.
Audrina James grew up with a grandfather who loved to tell her about Scotland the land of her ancestors. When she has an unusual dream after a rather trying day as a Trauma ER nurse she goes to the San Francisco National History museum where she is witness to a man stealing the Cotswold Pin which was in her dream. Upon rescuing it she transported back in time to Scotland and everyone knows her by Maeve not Audrina and she’s be gone for almost a year. But no one believes her story of the future and not being gone. She meets Colin MacClaran her husband who explains that she was taken by a Englishman lord on the evening of her wedding.
This is where I had a problem with the taking of brides by the English Lord on their wedding day and I’ll leave it right there. Yes it’s real Prima Noctem during Medieval Scotland and I’ll leave it right there plus this is where the book lost me unfortunately but I did finish it. I’m still mulling over whether I’ll read book 2 or not.
Love all the Highlander series!
With all the intensity in our world right now, reading this book was an excellent distraction! The sort line pulled right in. I love reading about the Scoots and highlands where men could be strong and the women just as strong! Thank you, really enjoyed this book
Loved it ! I’m on the second one now, didn’t see the third one. Yep I’m gonna read them all !!

Gripping Time Travel Romance!
A unique and compelling time travel tale which I found truly enjoyable, as well as, the love that spanned centuries. The intrigue surrounding a Celtic pin, the conflict between Scottish and English Lairds, and the struggles of a modern woman adapting to ancient Scotland made for an very engaging story. I look forward to the next book in the series. Enjoy!
I received an arc copy and am happy to leave my honest review.
This is sweet, romantic, suspenseful and thrilling. Audrina’s grandfather filled her head and heart with stories of Scotland and told her to go to Skye someday. She kept putting it off because she worked too much, but planned to go. Colin had been in love with Maeve from the minute they met as children and planned to marry as soon as they could, but Maeve kept putting him off. She didn’t want to have to submit to the English pig of an overlord on her wedding night. Colin finally convinced her to marry in secret, but they were found out and Audrina was taken by Cotswold for his claim to their wedding night. And she never seen again. Audrina went to a museum to see the Scottish treasures being shown and when a thief tried to take a kilt pin she chased him down and recovered it. All of a sudden she found herself in the past as Mauve. She and Colin didn’t believe in the same version of her truth, but worked together get “their” past worked out. It’s an intriguing storyline with both time travel and reincarnation together.

A Celtic pin takes a young woman back in time to the clan where she belongs. Living the life of another woman, she finds love and strength to confront the murderer who took a young bride on her wedding night and murdered her. Granted I got bored with all the pacing and crying, but I started reading over those to get to the important parts. A good story and a nice ending, nonetheless.
Okay I confess I’ll read anything time travel and Scotland is the best place for time travel. Audrina takes the place of her ancestor a year after Maeve (her ancestor) was taken by the English. I liked the history and the stories of past and present woven together as Audrina strives to convince Colin she isn’t his wife and she wants to be loved for herself. The characters had excellent chemistry and there were enough twists and turns to keep the story moving along. If you like Highlanders (and who doesn’t?) and/or time travel appeals to you grab this book. It’s got a paranormal twist in a terrific Scottish medieval story.

I gave it a 4 only because it needs more proof reading. Otherwise I did enjoy the story. It is interesting, intriguing, emotional and so much more. It has a different take on time travel stories. I love those type of stories anyway. It has a good story line and I like the characters that go with it. I voluntarily review a copy for booksprout.
As much as I loved the overall storyline of time travel, white magic and reincarnation this book has plenty of room for improvement. The romance was indeed special between the H/h and their trials and sufferings unimaginable. When the heroine travels back in time to fulfill her ancestors request for justice and to be reunited with the love of her life, there are plot holes in the story. For example, what happened to the heroine’s life in the future? Did she just disappear never to be heard from again? What of the theft at the museum? How was he connected to the past? The author did a great job of relating the heroine’s near madness trying to reconcile fact from fiction, present and past. I admired the hero. His love for the heroine knew no depth or boundaries. The villain of the story was unexpected. A very sick, sadistic mad man. Like I said, overall a great storyline. However, there is a definite need for improvement. This was an enjoyable Scottish time travel romance….with a twist! Audrina James is a modern day woman who lives in San Francisco, is a trauma unit nurse and who craves to travel to Scotland after listening to all her grandfather’s tales about their Scottish ancestry. She soon does find herself in Scotland but not the usual way of traveling! After touching an old medieval brooch, she is transported back in time to a life she knows nothing about…or does she? She is the exact image of her ancestor, Maeve MacClaran, who died an awful death on her wedding night.
Laird Colin MacClaran still mourns for his wife when she’s suddenly standing right in front of him! Audrina tries everything to convince him that she’s not his wife and that she comes from the future. As the story goes on, she starts to have dreams which turn out to be memories and finds out that she’s actually Maeve reincarnated in Audrina!

Colin marries his highland pass but the English occupiers steal her virginity and murder her, Maeve, Audrina. Does Maeve and Colin get the person who killed her? It’s a very intriguing story. I hope you’ll give it a chance. Some sexual content and violence.
