Wow! I loved this book! Rebecca Preston is a relatively new author to me but after this I Sam so looking forward to reading everything she’s written. If you’re a fan of time travel, romance and adventure this is the book for you!
This is an action packed story with a dynamic plot that keeps you mesmerized from the start. The characters are well written, well developed and interesting. Our heroine is a strong young woman with a sense of family. Our hero is a man who’s lived with tragedy and bent on revenge. The chemistry between these two is simply amazing. You find yourself engrossed in their outcome and rooting for them all the way.
The authors use of imagery is absolutely amazing and the dialogue is wonderful. Rebecca did such an amazing job with this entire story filled with turmoil, intrigue, adventure, drama and passion. I can’t wait to go back and read them all from the beginning!
Thank you Rebecca for such a wonderful, exciting and well written love story.
When Bethany’s commanding officer refused to grant her an emergency leave to search for her missing sister, she decided to go AWOL and traced Delilah (the sister’s) steps. She tracked her sister to Scotland where she had been studying some ancient ruins and found her way there. She falls asleep and when she wakes her sister who has been missing about a week is there. But that’s the only thing she recognizes. She wakes to find she is in the past and her sister has been there for over a year. The McClaren Keep however is under attack and it’s a war unlike anything Bethany has fought before.
Graham is fighting against the McClaren’s but when he meets Bethany at swordpoint, and she’s the image of the woman he lost 2 years ago, he knows she is there only there because of the McClarens.
I loved Bethany. She was strong and smart. She was in military intelligence and didn’t go suddenly ‘dumb’ when she found herself in another place and time. Graham was a strong hero and didn’t disbelieve, even though it seemed impossible. Fast paced read with tons of adventure, likable characters and a good storyline.
Bethany was in the military when her sister came up missing. She was denied leave so she left on her own to go find her. Delilah was last seen in a small town in Scotland, so that’s where Bethany went. Then she was taken to the past. She ended up finding her sister and embarked on an exciting adventure as she used her military training to help the castle they were in as they fought against a formidable enemy. She also found love with an unimaginable man. Good read

The adventure of “Highlander Avenged” begins when Bethany travels to Scotland to search for her missing sister, Delilah. She investigates the last place her sister was seen and wakes up in another time. Bethany finds herself in the past – with magic, in the midst of a war and with a man who thinks she is his beloved wife. From there on she’ll need her military training and instincts to figure out how to survive, save a village and maybe find love in this new world. The plot and characters are richly represented, the pace is non-stop, the dialogue is smart, and the parts come together in a way that makes sense. This is the first book I’ve read in this series and it’s so intriguing I have to read the others!

I’ve read every one of the Scottish Time Travel Series by Rebecca Preston and have enjoyed them all. Each couple has a unique dynamic. While the men all share a common tragedy, it’s the women and their strength and passion that draw these couples together. Graham and Bethany’s story has them pulled together with the same circumstance, but they’re chemistry draws them to connect. Graham is really resentful, but very confused by what he’s been told by his mother, who he chooses to follow, and his feelings for Bethany. She is conflicted as well. How they work through that, help save the MacClaren Keep, and find their HEA is a well paced read. I would like more from the man’s POV in future books, how they work through the situation. Overall a solid read.

Book seven of the Highlander In Time series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Bethany Cortland goes looking for her sister Delilah and falls asleep at the ruins of the castle where Delilah went missing. She wakes up in the past but she has found her sister. She meets Graham who has just come to realize he is a MacClaren the people he hates. I enjoyed seeing this story come together, there is suspense, drama, danger, magic, time travel, war, evil, and romance. I want to read the next book. Outstanding I was impressed
Time travel fantasies are one of my favorite types of books because anything can happen. In this one, Bethany is searching for her sister and what she experiences after falling asleep is something else. Graham should be the enemy but he has some conflicting thoughts about that. With a touch of magic, a good fashion curse these two characters are thrown together. From page one I was impressed with this tale, the cast of characters were outstanding, and the plot amazing I highly recommend this gem. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
I loved this story! Full of uncertainty, time travel, confusion, joy, and love! Adventure and drama awaits you!! A great read!!

If the curse is broken how come another woman has gone back in time to Castle MacClaran? Bethany deserts the US army in order to go to Scotland to find her missing sister Delilah. When she gets there she goes to the ruins that her sister was interested in, falls asleep, and wakes up in fifteenth century Scotland and there is her sister. A sister that instead of being missing for six days has been back in the past for a year and a half, is married and has a baby. Now Bethany has to learn to live in this new time. When the witch hunters lay a siege against the castle will she be able to use her army training to help? And what about the mercenary Graham? She is Graham’s re-incarnated dead wife. He has been afraid of witches and hunting them for years. Can she get him to understand the women who have gone back in time are just that. Time travlers and not witches. Whew!!! If you love action and adventure, if you love time travel romances, you will absolutely love this book. I could not put the book down. When I began reading, I knew I would not be satisfied until I got to the end. This is so well written the author, Rebecca Preston, really outdid herself. The story was exciting, energetic, invigorating and powerful. There was no way one could not relate and feel the emotions and thoughts the characters had. The characters had dynamic personalities. Even those villainous characters were described in detail as to their facial expressions and attitudes. The imagery the author created was just not about the clothes or the landscape; it was more than that. The characters were alive and animated. Just amazing! This is a must read. You will not be disappointed.
This 7th book in the Highlander of Time series is a very well-written time travel romance story with wonderful characters that are very cautious. There is drama, intrigue, tension, turmoil, danger, and she looks like his lost love and that cause issues for these characters. This story has action, adventure, betrayal, twists/turns, chemistry and love with a HEA that must be worked for. These characters have wonderful personalities that are brought alive by this great Author who I will be reading more books by.

ONE SPECTACULAR EXPERIENCE!!!
Holy hell! Rebecca just my number and rang my bell and blew me out of the water with this impressive treat, wielding this bad boy together sleek, shiny and tight. Satisfaction is an understatement, this baby comes packing a punch that’ll bring you to your knees, keeping you riveted on a razors edge. Maneuvering through terrifying trials and torrid tribulations, noting the shocking twists and wicked turns, testing our characters in ways they could have never envisioned. A tumultuous wild ride with a slew of fervent events and unpredictable circumstances, blasts those swirling emotions into play, blasting this jewel to life beautifully. Anarchy, escapades and havoc run amuck, kicking this bad boy into a roaring tempest, catapulting it into a tailspin with an explosive culmination. Twixt, twinned and interwoven, exposing the heart pounding ups and gut wretching downs, propel this bad boy to staggering heights. Rousting the drama, intrigue, tension, turmoil, danger, odious deeds, mounting suspense and nerve racking situations along with a boatload of sinister intentions while dodging bedlem, you have one mind-blowing masterpiece. The characters are complex and authentic with depth and traits that blend and flow, transforming into genuinely relatable personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions you have no problem picturing each scenario creating a colorful backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Remarkable job Rebecca, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
Loved this action packed and magical journey through time. Was a great read from beginning to end. Really enjoyed the interesting and engaging charters, witty dialog, heart racing danger, exciting twists and undeniable passion.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author, but it won’t be the last. This was an entertaining story with good characters. I’m looking forward to more by this author.

Bethany Cortland needed to find her sister no matter what and when the past claimed her taking her to the MacClaran lands, she was eager to use her skills. There she would fulfill her destiny as did the other time-travel women who were bond to the MacClaran clan men. Interesting Bethany and Graham’s difficult situation. Her struggle with her feelings, her emotions and what would be the right path to follow. Liked the adventure, the strong characters, the suspense, the magic, the strong emotions, the romance and the interesting plot development that had me enjoying the action. Also, liked Baldric’s character, that could keep a level head and be loyal when needed and I chuckled with Lord Weatherby’s foolishness.
The storyline was well written and the characters were so well defined that as each page was turned I felt like Bethany and Graham pulled me right into their journey as it unfolded!
This is another wonderful story in the Highlander in Time series and it was just as entertaining as the others. This time it’s Delilah’s (from book 6) sister Bethany who travels back in time and finds herself at the MacClaren castle. I really liked Bethany’s character, a strong heroine who doesn’t shy away from danger.
With the story being written with just the heroine’s thoughts, I find we lose a bit of understanding the hero’s character and to me, that’s what happened with Graham, I just couldn’t get into him, he felt like a secondary character. With that being said, it was still a good story with lots of action, danger and magic!

I thought that this was a very good read. Expect lots of emotional turmoil as Bethany and Graham’s story unfolds. The story itself is filled with drama, tension, intense emotions, excitement, adventure, action, danger and romance. This is another fun entry in this very entertaining and engaging time travel series. This is my frank, freely posted review.
