Mac is loving his life within Cam’s new Pack in the US, particularly loving his part-time work in Chastity’s new orphanage for abandoned, or abused, Shifter kids. Life is good, almost perfect. Then his beast starts acting strange and what entails tests him beyond anything he’s ever dealt with in his life. A dilemma that can only end in one of two ways: unending misery or a lifetime of joy.
Cam … joy.
Cam and Chastity are relishing their life as newly mated and as the Alphas of their new Pack when their world gets turned on its end. They’re thrust on a mission to rescue a hybrid Shifter baby and they also have their own dilemma and news that will bring the Pack a happiness that none of them would have thought. That is, if all goes as planned, and with Cam and Chastity, that is rarely the case.
Another hot and suspenseful addition to A K Michaels’ best-selling shifter series.

Meh. It was ok, not my fave installment of the series. I’m already halfway through the next one and it seems like the author is losing interest in the series. This one and the next one just seem like the author doesn’t have much left to give this series the same excitement that she did in earlier installments.
Book 6 and I loved it as much as I have the others. Cam and Chastity are off to rescue an orphaned mixed breed shifter baby an Alpha has said he will drown. Well things do not go as planned because the Alpha is one mean person. They do get the infant back to their pack and begin life as a family. Of course, soon their family will become much bigger but I am not telling you why. Buy the book and read. Mac also has a surprise of his own and he is not dealing with things very well at first but after a talk with Grant and then with Cam he has made a decision. I love this series and each book gets better and better. This one had some hiccups but nothing massive. I would recommend it and if you have not read this series I’d suggest beginning with Book 1.
Well if I could give this more than 5 stars I would!!! AK Michaels concludes this awesome series with a bang. Whilst other authors coast their series to the end, we wrap up the HWC series with a strong, emotional and very funny finale!!
The dilemma in question in Mac’s. What’s a Beta to do when Fate, that fickle female, puts a big ol spanner in the works? What do you do when your fated mate is…well just not what you expected??? No spoilers here but the story was big on OMG moments that you don’t really see coming.
Throw in a mercy mission by Cam and Chastity to save a hybrid baby from a maniacal, bigoted, alpha and some good news from Grant and Shelly and it’s an almighty roller-coaster ride. I waned to hug Mac and then clobber him over the head with the nearest heavy object but he finally came through thankfully!!!
All the major characters have been settled with their mates now and I have enjoyed my time with the Highland Wolf Boys and their feisty mates. But what I really loves is that all the minor characters keep popping up in all the books and haven’t just been used as a filler between the set pieces of the major characters. But I have now been left with a major question which has not been answered – Why is Clayr spelled that way????
Fabulous read which I have managed to hook my mother in law into. Something for everyone and I dare you not to love them all. Engaging story line, great characters, snappy dialogue and damn good bedroom naughtiness.
I dare you to count all the different Scottish words we have for idiot – hint there are more than you think LOL.
I was given an Arc copy in exchange for an honest review. I have been a fan of this series since book one and never thought the story could get any better. But which each book I would come up with a new favorite and there is no way you can’t fall in love with this family of characters. Things are changing for everyone in the pack and new beginnings are on the horizon for all. Grant has gotten in touch with Cam to let him know about what happened with their father and how their childhood friend helped him almost destroy Grant and Shelly. Mac has settled in with being Cam’s Beta and doing work at Chas new orphanage for abandoned/abused shifter kids and one day his world is turned upside down for his wolf had found its mate and Mac is struggling to come to terms with it’s choice. Along with some unforeseen chaos surrounding Cam and Chastity, much happiness is upon the Highland Wolf Clan and the Sinclair Brothers. Both Grant and Cam help Mac through his dilemma. I am so happy when I found book one on sale, I found an amazing and talented Author. I will miss this Series, but I have so many others of A. K. Michaels to read, and I am looking forward to every one of them. Thank you again for sharing your stories and talent.
All I can say is Wow!! A.K.Michaels your final book in the Highland Wolf Clan Series was awesome. Wish I could give more stars. I really didn’t see any of this coming. Your books keep getting better and better.
Mac has taken to his new job at the orphanage. He loves helping and spending time with the kids. Things would be perfect, if only his inner wolf would stop acting up. He doesn’t know what could be causing him so much trouble. Is he sick? Is his mate nearby?
Cam and Chastity are settling into their lives as Alphas. All is really good in the pack. When they receive news that a baby shifter needs rescuing from an evil alpha. Nothing ever goes plain sailing for Cam and Chastity, bless them…
Can all the characters solve their dilemmas?
Loved every minute of this series
I don’t know how A.K Michaels does it, although this is book 6 in the series she continues to come up with storylines that grab your attention.
No spoilers, but I have to say she expertly conveys Mac’s struggle to come to terms with what’s happening, what is happening you ask ? You’ll have to read it to find out but it was a twist I certainly did not see coming !
This is currently the last book in the series and I for one am sad to see the last of these sexy lovable Highland wolves but hey, maybe there will be more and whenever I need a fix I can always re-read them right !
Once again she has done a wonderful job telling a story with heart aches, scares, and happiness. It’s hard to expect one thing in your life only to be given a different path. But things worked out wonderful in the end. Not sure I would want 4 babies at the same time..lol
Still don’t like the fact of not knowing ages. Especially the epilogue, it would have been nice to know how many years later instead of trying to guess the kids ages.
Until Next Time…. Tabi
