Held against her will by the very man who killed her family, the lass is a prisoner in her own keep. Her beauty and quiet strength call to him as much as her situation urges him to fight.

The author created a story you wished you could live in. Seriously good
A Really Good Story Not For The Faint At
This is quite a story with lots of horrible happenings. The characters were well described and relatable.
Cairstine is a lovely strong character and Braden was so kind but had a bad temper he was working on. The H and h together brought much love and compassion to each other. A wonderful romance of love at first sight. Villains were awful and very abusive.
Band of cousins continue to discover more child kidnappings .
Dangerous, thrilling, ghostly, situations had me glued to the story. Many heart pounding things transpired.
Heartfelt ending and so many of the families coming together at the end was beautiful.
A few shocking moments and a HEA finished off the story and has me anxious for the next in the series.

Heat level: 2 out of 5
I loved this story. There is so much mystery to Cairstine, but she is a woman worth fighting for, because Braden is beginning to believe her. He doesn’t understand why Ronan killed himself, but Braden is willing to protect the woman Cairstine hidden in a ruin of a castle. Cairstine is protects herself and her son by secreting her son away. His identity and whereabouts are the utmost importance to her. Meeting Braden gives her hope. We all need hope.
Loved all her Highland stories and characters. Fast paced and couldn’t put it down.
Similar to Alex and Maddie when they first met except for a child. Story about betrayal, love, abuse and family. Several characters from the other books. This is Brandens story where he finds out what really happened to his friend Ronan and savining mother and child from the murderers he killed her family and took her captive.
loved it
I loved this story. Has just enough he loves me, he loves me not in the budding romance. The story backdrop was interesting too.
This book has an unexpected ending. It is very surprising how it turns out. Enjoyed the characters .
I love All of Keira Montclair’s books! She has given us such wonderful characters and each has a human challenge to overcome to find themselves and their true love. And the families she has shared with us as they change and grow keeps us coming back for more. I highly recommend all of her books.
I love this book I started reading and I couldn’t stop I had to finish!
Enjoyed this book. Like author
I enjoyed reading it. It was sad but a happy ending.
The book was entertaining. I liked some of the characters very much. I thought
the hero of the book was forced to see some of his own shortcomings and work
to get past his compulsive behavior. I liked the young mother and found the story
interesting.
Love this saga!
This was an enjoyable read. Also good to indulge in a Scottish highland romance.
I enjoyed this book, but as usual for Ms. Montclair’s series, the characters are just too perfect to be believable. Another problem which I always find disconcerting is the logic inconsistencies–how much distance is between these properties? How far can a very young boy travel on a pony in one night? The pony kicks the gate to be let in the keep? Really? So, if you can suspend your sense of “huh?” and just enjoy the likeable, if improbable, characters, pretend you believe some of the more coincidental occurrences, this is a fun, quick read.
Found it too slow moving and skipped to the end about a third of the way through.
Great read!! This story is quite a page-turner! The author captivates you through a journey of a woman’s struggles, strength and faith; being rewarded later.
story just ok; sex scene added at the end not good enough; should have had more sex throughout or none at all
Took me away, couldn’t put it down
