A wickedly naughty 1920s romance, for fans of Downton Abbey.Banished to her grandmother’s castle in the Highlands of Scotland for refusing to marry her mother’s choice of suitor, defiant debutante Lady Ophelia soon falls in love with the wildly unsuitable Hamish! To Ophelia’s annoyance, he’s already spoken for, and glamorous French coquette Felicité has no intention of letting the ruggedly … letting the ruggedly attractive estate manager slip from the service of her bed.
Intrigue abounds, as Ophelia discovers that there’s more to her rival than meets the eye, and that the Castle is a hotbed of illicit cavorting.

This story really brought out, and then tore down, the old social norms for women. A thoroughly enjoyable read for your weekend relaxation!. Curl up and enjoy.
Enjoyed and looking forward to more from this author. Love anything highlands related.
Sly and wry…true fun.
This was not my type of book. There did not seem to be much depth to the characters. The ending was flat for me.
This story was just ok. The main character becomes more likable as the story progresses but I feel like the story ends just as it should be pulling pieces together. I don’t understand the significance of the inserts on the staff. They add nothing to the story.
I did not care for this book. Too much sex between strangers.
Frequently, phrases from 21st Century were used instead of keeping to the era.
I couldn’t get past 1st chapter. The characters were not interesting to me. The author may have further developed the characters but since I have so many books in my e-reader, I didn’t waste anymore time.
A pleasant surprise that kept my interest.
This was a book I foeced myself to finish. Very unsympathic head chatacters. Really did not like the heroine – whiney, helpless foolish…
Not my cup of tea. Too repetitious & risque for me.
This is the type of book that is not bad, but is not good.
The characters are not really likable, but are no hideous.
The story is not boring, but is not engaging.
I guess it’s just an ok book.
Started out slow but pulled me in as the characters developed.
I enjoyed this book and was delighted to find a new author I hadn’t read before.
I did not like the author’s style of writing. It was like the writer was trying too hard. I read 2 chapters and quit.
Didn’t personally care for it. Drawn out in parts
I didn’t finish the book. I was looking for something cleaner.
Very well witten
It was cute. I am a fan of the 20’s, so I enjoyed it as a period piece. The main character was fun to read.
This book wasn’t my cup of tea, too much angst and no resolution for the main character. Perhaps I just wasn’t in the mood for a wishy washy debutante.
