Love and Betrayal.

Offered in marriage by David of Scotia as a guise for peace and cursed by Aidan’s people for the sins of her father, Lìleas MacLaren is the one woman Aidan believes he is immune to. Loved it from beginning to end
Page turner. Stayed up all night reading.
Didn’t want to put it down.
Pure escapism – great escape from the constant worries of Covid 19
Book 2 in the Guardian of the Stone series, Highland Fire is easy to read with wonderful characters. Loved!
If I could give this book 3 1/2 stars, I would. It’s a little better than okay. It was interesting but, not compelling. I feel the same way about the characters.
A sweet, humorous, and fun read for relaxing. There were moments where I was a little iffy, some issues I had in regards to editing, but outside of that I enjoyed the book. The two main characters were adorable, and I loved the surrounding characters even the perfect villain for this type of romance. I do wish there’d been a little more discussion …
Great setting details that really pull the reader into the locations. I loved the chemistry between the two main characters and the mystery/ paranormal surrounding Una and the vale.
The emotions from each character is felt throughout and the author managed to pull everything together for a nice flowing story line.
I recommend if you enjoy …
Captivating page-turner!!! The characters come to life on each page and make you feel as though you are in the story!! Well done!!!
So much more wonderful have read twice Ms. Crosby is genius!!! Love her style.
Not great
The world of the Vale is captivating and picturesque. The fire and strength in the female lead, coupled with the headstrong male lead is excellent. They are both flawed people with the best intentions and you find yourself cheering for them the whole time.
I liked the mixture of magic and medicine.
Delightful insight into clan life in Scotland in 1100’s, full of interesting details about daily life as well as the twisted, convoluted politics of the time–along with an interesting main character and her interactions with the hero and his people, along with a soupcon of magic thrown in.
Enjoyed reading a good story about Scotland. Engrossing characters and a suspenseful plot.
Very strong heroine! Likable, noble, stubborn. Descriptions of terrain make you live within the story.
Love the setting, time period. Intregue.
The story sucks you in and you can’t put the book down.
