From the Borderlands to the Highlands, Scotland’s seven kingdoms are in conflict. Struggling to unite the kingdoms altogether, King David seeks an alliance with the fierce, but reclusive mountain Scot, Aidan dun Scoti. But only one woman will tempt Aidan—the accursed beauty whose father once betrayed his clan.
Love and Betrayal.
She has been offered a choice: Kill the dun Scoti or lose your only beloved son. Offered in marriage by David of Scotia as a guise for peace and cursed by Aidan’s people for the sins of her father, Lìleas MacLaren is the one woman Aidan believes he is immune to. She is also the one woman who could bring the chieftain to his knees.

This is the first in a series I can’t wait to read more of. The characters are real, with faults making them human, whilst retaining strength we can aspire to. They each have the clan’s core purpose and values foremost but deal with it in their own ways.
Enjoyable to read!
This novel surprised me. The author made good use of traditional Gaelic (?) sayings and named common items. The characters were sympathetic and well developed. The sex scenes were well done, not too invasive or lengthy. Enough the get one’s juices and imagination, flowing.
Wonderful story, wonderful characters, great love story with lots of action.

Love the characters and the storyline kept me reading page after page.
I’ve had Highland Fire in my Audible library for ages. I was in the mood for a medieval Highland romance and this book fit the bill. This was my first book by Tanya Anne Crosby as well as hearing narrator James Gillies.
The highlight of Highland Fire was the narration. I loved James Gillies’ accent and performance in general. I had no problems …

Characters are well developed. Nice romance novel, an easy and quick read.
I do love a good Highland story and this one was enjoyable. It contained all that I love about historical fiction: a bit of how they lived, differences in the customs and beliefs, magic, betrayal, and, of course, love.
The story is about a woman named Lileas who is forced to wed a reclusive warrior, Aidan dun Scoti. To complicate matters even …
