Prophecies suck and being the “chosen one”? It’s not all it’s cracked up to be.I was happy living my simple human life, but–as a Halfling–I can only pretend to be normal for so long. I never had any interest in attending the High Fae Academy for Gifted Supernaturals, but avoidance can only get you so far.Sure, student life isn’t all terrible. I have five sexy Fae males who all want a piece of … Fae males who all want a piece of me. The only downfall is that I have to choose between them. Not. Easy. Especially when my magic isn’t making my decision any easier. I can control all five elements, and the guys? Well… each facet of my magic draws me to a specific man–to the element’s perfect match.
According to some prophecy I’ve never even heard, I’m destined to end the war between the Light and Dark Fae. Me. A half human.
I’m about to set off on a dangerous and sexy ride that is supposed to bring peace to a war ravaged world all while maintaining a decent grade point average.
No pressure, right? Wrong.
This book is a medium burn paranormal romance that is suited for new adult audiences.

High Fae Academy – Year One: Fae Paranormal Romance
By Kaylin Peyerk
5 out of 5 stars
The story High Fae Academy – Year One: Fae Paranormal Romance by Kaylin Peyerk is a book that I enjoyed reading. It pulled me in and didn’t let me go until I had read the final page. It is a story that includes romance, a Fae Academy, magic, and a prophecy. I loved reading about the primary character. A Halfling who can control all five elements. Five handsome and sexy Fae males. Now attending the Fae Academy and finding out that the path walked is dangerous. What does the future hold? Read this book to find out. Some scenes are very romantic. There are times when the dialogue made me smile and laugh. The story does a wonderful job of building the world that the main character resides in. It is a story that kept my interest throughout and had me wanting to read more when I got to the end. I would recommend reading this book.
I really enjoyed this book. The author wrote in a way that made the characters come alive. Her descriptions were vivid and allowed me to “see” the environment and the characters, in addition to feeling the emotions.
Book review of High Fae Academy: Year One by Kaylin Peyerk
Just wow … This was a wonderful surprise! Tiana is fierce but vulnerable which is endearing. She us also SO far out of her element. 4 phenomenal Fae Royals ALL want her and on some level she wants them. Out of element #1.
She learns she has a fate SO huge no one would be able to grasp it … out of element #2.
Then so many events happen to Tiana that she loses count of her Out of Element moments, lol.
Well written, great world building and a wild ride emotionally with a HUGE twist at the end!
High Fae: Year One is a great book to start off the series. It was a bit different than the usual Far books I read.
So it starts off with you meeting Taina. She is raised in the human world but is half Fae. Then one day she meets Orin and then her world changes. She goes with him to High Fae Acadamy. There she meets the Princes of the Fae. Orin, Damon, Rai, Adrian and Lucian. Four are princes and one is king. These guys don’t tell Tiana about something important and that changes everything. She is at the academy to learn more about her powers and to learn to control. But her magic wants her to mate shortbread five men. Howevrr, it’s for life so she has to be careful. She is tested throughout this book and something else is revealed. Like omg what is is she going to find out before she goes insane.
You will get enraptured with this book and before you know it, the book ends with a cliffhanger. What? I need book two and hopefully soon.
