I’m kind of a lady, but definitely more of a weirdo. Hearing the woman at the table behind him say that to her friend should’ve turned Logan Gibbs off.It doesn’t. In all honesty, it only makes him listen harder. He’s had enough weird in his life to last a lifetime. The last thing his complicated life needs is a woman in it who has no clue what color you get when you mix yellow and blue together.… yellow and blue together.
Yet, her obvious blonde moments aren’t enough to deter him. Nor is her lack of finger-painting skills.
I’m a cop, not a miracle worker.
Hearing the man in the group behind her say that should’ve had Katy Roberts running away as fast as her feet would carry her. Katy’s father’s a cop, and it’s hard enough to live her life with Daddy trying to dictate her every move. She needs another cop in her life like she needs yet another thing to go wrong.
To add onto that, she can’t find a job, has no love life to speak of, and has to be the oldest known virgin in Kilgore, Texas.
Yet, when she sees his painting—a painting that resembles a piece of the male anatomy more than the lighthouse they were supposed to be painting—she knows that she has to give him a chance.
The very last thing the two of them expect is for her father and his boss to force them to marry after an eensy-weensy accident. An accident that, surprisingly, both of them want.

I probably say this every time, but this was one of my favorite LLV books! While it was easy going for the most part, it did touch on some emotional issues that penetrated the surface of what could have been a light and fun romance. Don’t get it twisted, this story had plenty of hilarity, but the humor was tempered with heartfelt moments.
Telling a man that you already have a man won’t stop him from wanting you. But if you tell him you used to be a man…
Logan’s backstory was heartbreaking. I just wanted to give him a big ol’ hug. He deserved all the kindness and happiness in the world. I’m telling you, this man is a REAL man. LLV created a stunner when she gifted us with all the sexiness that was Logan. And Katy, her story wasn’t any easier to bear. This sweetheart just needed someone to love her right and she couldn’t have asked for a better person than Logan. These two fell together almost instantly and it worked. They didn’t cause any drama for the other, they had each other’s back, and their love was so lovely.
“It feels like I’ve known you my entire life. It feels like, from the moment that I met you, my soul knew that you were the one made to complete it. Honestly, it feels like a dream. Like we’re stuck in some romantic movie that only has one ending – happiness.”
I don’t see myself ever falling out of love with these stories. I’m constantly falling in love with these heroes and most of the heroines are my boos. With an incredibly beautiful ending, this story will most definitely find its way onto my bookshelves.
If he’s willing to give you the moon and the stars, you should be willing to sacrifice Uranus.
I loved Logan and Katy together, I loved how he was very protective over her. Logan has been switched to a new division in the police department and the bit about their new uniforms had me cracking up. Katy was hilarious and I loved her personality, her dad was Logan’s boss and that made things a tad weird but overall everything worked out. Logan’s ex absolutely drove me crazy but the part about his best friend broke my heart and what Logan was doing was so admirable. This was a great read.
Cute and crazy funny… Lani made me laugh alot with her sense of humour… Kilgore Police Patrol sounded cool! With tight pant? Well, Gibson made me smile more… His stubborness drove me crazy.. but I love seeing him bloom and be a better man because of Katy 🙂 funky with the bits of family drama…
I love it when characters that I have known from early on come back for their own story. I remember Katy from BOOMTOWN and then from CENTER MASS. She was very sweet and her start in the whole world of LLV’s was spectacular. But I always thought she was going to end up with someone else. But I can’t say that I was upset in anyway with this book. I think this might be one of my favorites now. I liked the characters, but what I really liked was the story itself.
What Logan went through in his past was really upsetting and to learn more about him what made him was really eye opening. And his interactions with Luke … hate to say it but I found this amusing. They have a very interesting relationship (yeah, that was sarcastic!). But what really made him interesting to me was how he treated Katy and the lengths that he would go too to help someone else.
And Katy, wow did she change. And her past is heartbreaking at times. It was great to see her come back and find out more about her. But what made me empathize with her character so much was her strength and outlook. Yes, she made mistakes in her past, which she admits too. And she doesn’t let that define her, even if she has effects because of it.
Overall, I loved this book. The characters are memorable and easy to get emotional with and for. The story kept me entertained and engaged. The beginning was a touch slow, but it really picked up and flowed well until the end. AND … this is the start to a whole new series that contains the kids from previous series’! Again, I love going back and seeing how they age and what they are up too. So bonus for me!! In my opinion, two thumbs up and happy reading!!
Hide Your Crazy is the first book in the KPD (Kilgore Police Department) Motorcycle Patrol. It has been a while since I have read a book by this author. I am happy that I decided to read this book. Hide Your Crazy is a spin-off from a couple of this authors other books.
Katy Roberts is all grown up. Logan Gibbs is a cop in the Kilgore Police Department and Katy is the daughter of the Chief of Police and is all grown up now.
Katy keeps running into Logan and not in a good way. He thought she was the weirdo at a paint class he had to attend for his job. Then he gives her a ticket and now he lives above her in the upstairs apartment. Ugh! Turns out that living upstairs isn’t such a bad thing.
Hide Your Crazy is funny! I loved the scene with Louis Kuntz, Katy’s dog. I loved reading Hide Your Crazy and I will be grabbing more of Lani Lynn’s books to read in the future!
For me, sitting down each month with a Lani Lynn Vale book is like catching up with a group of old friends. I’ve been reading her books and these characters’ stories on a monthly basis for so many years now that I’m totally and completely invested in them and this world. The KPD Motorcycle Patrol series is a next generation series based upon the stories of the children of the lead couples from one of Vale’s early series, KPD SWAT.
Vale gave her own spin to the hero with a reputation trope by giving her readers a really good—but gravely misunderstood—guy. Logan was a good man in a bad situation, and my heart went out to him because of it. Katy Roberts, the daughter of Luke Roberts, Logan’s boss, saw past all of that. She had her own past marring her present, though, and the two of them were kindred spirits of sorts.
Lani kicked off this romance with an unconventional first meeting – I’m specifically not calling it a meet-cute because it totally wasn’t. What did shine through, though, was the natural chemistry between Logan and Katy, and once they got past that first meeting, their attraction was clear in the way that they were both drawn to each other. There were a lot of similarities in their lives, although the circumstances were different, and this was a perfectly matched couple that I was rooting for from the start. Lani always includes a suspenseful element to her stories, and while I completely enjoyed this aspect of the story, for me, the romance between Katy and Logan was the star of the show.
A wonderful blend of the past and the future, Vale layered heat, heart and humor into this sweet, sexy and suspenseful romance. Hide Your Crazy is a winner in a promising new series from Lani Lynn Vale. Five smooches from me!

These second gen books always hit me in the feels! If you have read Boomtown (where all this LLV love started), then you have read about how Katy was brought into the world, and all the chaos that ensued. Then in Luke and Reese’s story, Center Mass, we get to see Katy as a little girl and how they become a blended family. Now, its Katy’s turn to fall in love and get her own HEA and it was beautiful! This is the first of a new series, but you really must start with Boomtown for the feels to hit you. Logan is now part of the new motor patrol, not something that he really wanted to do, it’s more of a punishment. When he ends up giving Katy a ticket, having no clue who she is, he is amused that she is so feisty and blunt. When Katy ends up being his neighbor, things take a turn for the interesting, but when he finds out that she just happens to be the chief of polices’ daughter that’s when the fun really starts.
This was such a good story, I finished this is one sitting and am ready for more. Katy and Logan’s story was filled with drama, amazing naughty bits, a tiny bit of danger; making this a super entertaining read. I give this 5 stars.

Yay, finally we are getting Katy’s story. Katy was the baby born all the way back in Boomtown; LLV’s first ever book in this world she has created. Now Katy is all grown up and after moving to Kilgore for a new start, she starts a relationship with her hottie motorcycle cop neighbour, Logan. Of course this being a Lani Lynn Vale book, the pair have buckets full of drama following them meaning their road to a happily ever after is a bumpy one. But oh what a ride it is. I love this author, I love this world, and I love these stories. I lose myself in them until I have finished and when I do I just can’t wait for the next one. Yet again LLV has written a 5 star story with Hide Your Crazy.

Hide Your Crazy is everything I love in an LLV book. Strong Alpha hero, with a smart quirky heroine. Logan Gibbs has been on the chief’s sh*t list for a while now and his punishment is being put on the new motorcycle patrol with a uniform that leaves nothing to the imagination. Katy Roberts has started her dream job as a medical examiner and is surprised to learn the cop that wrote her a ticket for illegal parking is none other than the pacer that lives above her and keeps her up all night.
Katy and Logan have amazing chemistry and their banter will keep you laughing. And when Logan finds out the woman he can’t stop thinking about is none other than the chief’s daughter, he just knows he’s going to get fired lol. I loved getting to see Luke and Reese and how all this plays out.
As always, my favorite LLV book always changes with a new release lol. I don’t know about everyone else, but I am personally loving all of these new series with the original characters kids all grown up. As always, it has LLV’s unique writing style, quirky sense of humor, and a pinch of suspense. I’m loving this new series already.

“That was what my life had been like for my entire life. One massive storm. I’d think that I’d weather it, that I’d made it out whole on the other side, just for it to swing back around and fuck me up all over again.”
Yes, this is the first book in a new series. But, if you’ve read Lani Lynn Vale before then you know you can expect to see some favorite characters from other books too. One of my favorite things about this author’s writing is her sense of humor. The witty banter between friends and family is very entertaining. Even the chapter headings make me laugh out loud. I can’t get enough of her ‘crazy’ and I’m glad she doesn’t hide it.
I always know going in that I’m gonna fall for a hero in every story. I love that the author favors emergency response careers and that her characters are real and down to earth. Many times they are broken as well. She does a beautiful job of touching on painful subjects and making the readers feel connected to the characters that suffer through those experiences. And in the midst of it all there is always love and laughter… and pets.
I was all-in before the end of the first chapter. Logan & Katy start off on the wrong foot, but doesn’t that usually end up being the right one? It for sure becomes a memorable moment to smirk about later. I had such a fun time anticipating what was gonna happen next, in both the romance and the suspense.
Things moved quickly and kept me totally invested. I probably looked ridiculous while reading because I couldn’t stop smiling and giggling, or ranting and raging, depending on what chapter I was on. There were some amazing support characters, both knights and villains. Some I wanted to get to know better, and others I wanted to #*/@! The line forms here…
I always love starting a new series by this author because it never disappoints. Katy and Logan had me laughing from beginning to end. The way these two meet is hilarious and you can’t help but keep reading to see what’s going to happen next. Katy’s quirkiness is so real you can’t help but relate. And the things Logan has gone threw with his ex your heart just hurts for the man. But in the end things do end up working out.
Oh and seeing Luke again, loved it. We even got to see some other old SWAT member and their family.
Looking forward to seeing what will be coming next in this new series.
Go read it you won’t be disappointed.
Katy Roberts.
Logan Gibbs.
The way this couple came to be was one that had me laughing and swooning. Logan is not what people think. He know what everyone thinks of him, yet he doesn’t do anything to change their minds. That is until he gets to know the one woman he should stay far away from. Katy hasn’t had the best of luck when it comes to dating. But, there’s just something about a certain officer that she’s drawn to.
The way that Logan is there to take care and help Katy, shows that she’s it for him. And Katy finally found a guy that she can trust.
This was the first book in a new series, and I cannot wait to see what else is in store.
Katy is messed up from her abusive ex (a cop), no love life and an overprotective father (also a cop). Logan is a cop and his ex cheated on him with his best friend and got pregnant. More drama and craziness you can’t imagine in this story. The couple still kept me interested and wanting to read about what happens with them. This is the first book in a new series. Check it out if you like drama, angst and happy ever afters.
I enjoy reading this authors books. I’m not caught up on reading all of them as of yet. I will. I like getting to know each character and each group they are in.
Another must read by LLV
This series is going to be so good.
This book has special meaning to me. My first Lani book was KPD SWAT Series Center Mass! So to see Katy get her book got me in all my feels. It was a rough time for me when I discovered Center Mass and fell in love with Lanis book World. I read it then went and started Boom Town. After that I read every book she had on amazon up to that point in 2015. Can’t get enough of her and this series is just as entertaining, intriguing and wonderful as the rest.
A good start to a new series. I really love how all of her series are in the same world and intertwined.
Logan and Katy were a cute couple. They each had issues with their ex’s, loved dogs, and suffered from PTSD. Together they helped each other and found their happiness.
Thank you Lani Lynn Vale for making me laugh out loud…OFTEN!
Hide Your Crazy is Book 1 of the Kilgore Motorcycle Patrol Series. Now mind you, I am a Texas boy born and raised and I know where Kilgore is. But that little town is not known for motorcycle cops but more for some young high stepping ladies at the local college.
But ,oh boy, what a fun way to give a sleepy town a new fresh makeover. When I first started reading this story and noticed the patrol riders needed to wear appropriate clothing to cut down on wind resistance, I was like “Uh huh, sure”. For those that don’t know, things are definitely bigger in Texas, and I’ll let you the reader let your imagination follow…hahahaha.
The laughter that ensues is priceless. Logan is that alpha male that makes sure everyone knows he is the big dog…even his boss. But he is fighting his own demons from times past. Katy is the woman that makes all men think twice about their decisions. A nurse but her actions are sometimes not on a conscious level.
Ok, I know you are probably asking how these two ever come together. I will say you just need to grab this book and find out. Lani Lynn did an amazing job of taking broken souls and building a healing thrown for them to survive on.
What a great story and I happily give it my 5-star rating!
I loved loved loved Logan and Katy! I was hooked into this book from the very first word and was unable to put it down. If you haven’t read anything by Lani before this is a good starter. I am so excited to see what else comes from this series.

I’m so delighted to start a new series. This is the first time I start a spin-off series by this author. Her books are such delight to read, with relatable characters, heartfelt plots, funny scenes and some crazy moments, like doing an autopsy while having a girls moments with besties talking about the men in your life, while they were munching popcorn! I can’t even imagine!
Katy is the daughter of the Chief of Police; she has always felt like a misfit, although very much loved by her family. In a moment of rebelliousness, when she was 18, she went to live with a guy her father didn’t approve of. For six months, her family didn’t hear of her and she was being pummeled daily by her boyfriend until one day a cop happened by and saw her all battered up. The guy went to prison but the scars remained inside Katy.
Logan was also a misfit, but he had reasons. He had a ton of baggage, starting with witnessing his father killed roadside by a hit-and-run, and an ex-wife who wanted a child so desperately that she got pregnant by Logan’s best friend who was mentally incapacitated. The divorce was ugly and unfair, stripped Logan of everything except his dog Sister. There’s tons more to this story, but you have to go get the book and read!
When Logan and Katy met, it was as if all their parts clicked together as if they were incomplete puzzle pieces that when together made a perfect whole. Katy had night sleepwalking problems; Logan had PTSD and had problems sleeping. Handcuffs were the ideal solution except they got into tricky situations. Their chemistry was electric and the way they complemented each other was just scrumptious.
In this light-hearted and warm-hearted story, we get to read how they deal with their family and personal situations, together as a team. I loved how straight-forward the plot moved and loved seeing old friends from the Bear Bottom MC. Their wives happen to be Katy’s boss and co-worker, since Katy is the new medical examiner at the Bear Bottom Funeral Home. I love how the series intertwine and we get to see old friends!
As always, Lani Lynn Vale wrote a wonderfully fun, and entertaining story. I loved how sweet, attentive, and patient Logan was with Katy, and that Katy returned those sentiments. Both of them had bad experiences with relationships but what they find with one another is an amazing friendship that has the possibility of being a beautiful life together. I loved every thing about this book.
