I completely devoured Hidden Truths by K. Webster and Nikki Ash. I was captivated from start to finish and cannot wait for the next book! This was one wild and unexpected ride! It was steamy, angsty and full of intrigue.
Talia always thought she would marry for love and now she is marrying a man to pay for her family’s debts. Though Talia does what is needed, she is strong and feisty. But Kostas is more than she ever bargained for. He is a man born to lead and control. He is not a good man, but something about Talia calls to him. They were fire and ice and all steamy chemistry. This book does end in a cliffhanger, but book 2 is coming soon and I cannot wait for it!
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
When I first saw this book, I was I intrigued. I have never read a book from Nikki Ash but I have read from K Webster so I knew that this book was going to be great.
Kostas and Talia are meant to be enemies. They were born into families that hate each other. When Talia’s father owes a debt to Kostas’s family, she is the payment.
This story captured and kept my interest through the whole book and I devoured it. It’s dark and gritty. It’s not rainbow and butterflies. The chemistry between Kostas and Talia was off the charts hot. Kostas is so filthy but Talia loves it.. and honestly, so do I.
“You. Are. Mine,” he growls. “And the sooner you accept that, the better off you’ll be.”
Kostas definitely isn’t the monster I thought he was. Okay.. I take that back. He is DEFINITELY a monster but Talia is his weakness.. and a man like Kostas having a weakness? It’s dangerous. Not just for Kostas but also for Talia.
I loved this story and I can’t wait to read the next book. I NEED to know what happened.
Hate and love are shared passions. They pull you in and take over your body, your heart, your mind…
Hidden Truths by K Webster and Nikki Ash is book one in the Truths and Lies Duet! Let me start off by saying if there wasn’t already a release day for book two, Stolen Lies, I would be blowing up these ladies DM’s! I mean seriously, WOW! I just read this book in one night and usually, I’d wait a couple of days and then write my review, but I seriously could NOT wait! I know I’m starting backward but, OMG… that cliffhanger you guys! From shocking truths to devastating lies, told in dual POV Hidden Truths was a fast-paced, beautifully written, whirlwind of dark romantic suspense! Be ready you guys, this one is gonna give you ALL the feels!
When Niles Nikolaides finds himself in deep trouble with the dangerous men he works for in order to pay his debts and NOT lose his life, he hands over his beautiful innocent daughter, Talia.
Kostas Demetriou, heir to his family’s crime organization finds himself in the middle of one of his father’s schemes. Instead of just killing the trader who’s stolen from them, he’s to marry the man’s daughter.
Talia’s life comes to a screeching halt when she finds out that her greedy father has sold her off to a dangerous, ruthless man to save himself and when she meets the man she’s to marry, Kostas wastes no time in showing her EXACTLY who he is.
You can play nice, and I will give you the world. The sun, the stars, and the motherfucking sky. Or you can make shit difficult and I will take it all away, leaving you with nothing but darkness.
Will Talia be able to break free from this arranged marriage to Kostos?
The better question may be, will she want to..?
Hidden Truths has surpassed my expectations! It’s dark, it’s suspenseful, and it’s completely enthralling! There were so many twists and turns that I was on the edge of my seat coming up with all kinds of theories the whole way through! I won’t give away any spoilers so I’m just going to say that there was one really HUGE thing that happened… I NEVER saw it coming! I was dumbfounded still even while I was reading it I was thinking that it was all going to be a bad dream and wasn’t REALLY what was happening… my heart broke for her. Yea anyway, MUST READ YOU GUYS!
Your wickedly possessive and equal parts horrifying threats are somehow romantic in a way.
I seriously have nothing to complain about (which is rare these days) the flow was perfect, the pace was perfect, the plot had me submerged so deep into the story I didn’t come up for air until I was finished, absolutely wonderful book. I really enjoy arranged marriage reads but I HATEEE when authors prolong the hate. Yea I want them to fight a bit, I mean of course they can’t give in TOO easy, but still arranged marriage or not when the couple is good together, just go ahead and let them be good together! I don’t like all the EXTRA fighting just to fight. I think that’s why I enjoyed Hidden Truths so much. Their beginning may not have been what either of them hoped for, but the two of them… something just works.
Even a monster has limits. Monsters aren’t monsters all of the time.
I’m not a good man. Good men don’t turn good women into Demetrious. Only bad men do.
Kostos is NOT a good man, there is no doubt about that. He’s cruel, ruthless, and he shows absolutely no mercy to anyone, well, anyone except for Talia. He seems controlling but I think that’s just because he is super overprotective of her, and in his line of business… he has reason to be. We see a softer side of him when he’s with his wife, and although he may show her a sweeter side, that ruthless and cruel side of him isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. I’m a sucker for a jerk and Kostos is a jerk! LOL, I love how snarky he is and the way he picks at Talia, oh and let’s not forget that dirty mouth of his… SHEESH!
A monster wouldn’t be a true monster if he didn’t hungrily sink his teeth into the offering he’s been given by the lesser mortals. And, fuck, do I ever want to sink my teeth into her.
I adore Talia. I know some will find her childish but I can only imagine how it feels to be ripped out of life as you know it and be married to a crime boss whom you’ve never even met before all in the span of a week, not to mention ALL the other dramatic events that have happened in that week… I like her though, she’s feisty and sassy as hell and once she realizes her husband is a big softie for her, she has no problem standing up to him and giving just as good as she gets! With every single vase she threw at Kosta I loved her a little more.
It makes you a psychopath too, zoí mou. Own it. You’re not the same woman who stepped onto Crete.” I give her hand a squeeze… “You’re one of us now.
The chemistry is off the charts HOT with these two! They were already bickering BEFORE they even knew who the other was so I knew sparks would be flying between them, and I was right. I am loving watching their relationship blossom, there’s never a dull moment between the two of them that’s for sure. Arranged marriage or not, these two are the definition of SMOKIN’ HOT!
That ending… OMG! That cliffhanger was HUGEEE! I’m thinking I may know what’s going on with Talia and if what I’m thinking is right… OMG shit is about to get CRAZY! Plus… those scratches (if you’ve read it, you’ll know what I’m talking about) I don’t think they came from the girlfriend… something else is going on and I am DYING to find out what!!!
In the blink of an eye, I’ve lost everything that means anything to me, and there’s a good chance I’m never going to get any of it back.
I’m not familiar with Nikki Ash (although after this book I will for sure be checking out her work!) but I am familiar with K. Webster and as per usual the writing was absolutely stunning! I was completely enthralled, I read Hidden Truths all in one night and now it’s three in the morning and I’m writing this review because I just could NOT wait to get my thoughts down! There was plenty of depth to the story and every single unforgettable character, I didn’t feel like the story was rushed, seriously, this was a GREAT read these ladies did a hell of a job with this one! If the first half of the duet was this good, I can’t wait to see what they do with the second half!
I can’t say enough about Hidden Truths but I also don’t want to spoil it, this one is a MUST READ! Drama, steam, and just enough suspense to keep you hooked on every single page, trust me you won’t be skimming this one! I highly, highly recommend checking this one out!
COME ON DECEMBER, I NEED Stolen Lies!

This book was a train wreck that I couldn’t put down! Just when I thought I hated Kostas and liked Aris, I totally flipped my opinion. Talia is a 21 year old innocent until she’s forced to pay her father’s debt by marrying crime boss Kostas Demetriou. Kostas will ruin her innocence very quickly. And danger lurks around every corner from people you don’t suspect. This book gave me ALL of the feels; I was angry, afraid, happy, in suspense, and quite steamed up! Hidden Truths is part of a riveting new duet fans of dark romance will love, 4 stars!
**Warning: this book ends in a cliffhanger! Next book available in December.
Talia is set on spending the summer with her new love, when her mother delivers the news that she’s to spend it instead with her father, with whom she has a very strained relationship. Once she arrives in Greece and finds out just why her father has summoned her, that relationship is going to get a hell of a lot more strained, to the breaking point. The cause? Kostas, her new husband to be.
Yep, it’s a forced marriage, Greek mobster style. I literally just reviewed an epic love story that used the same criminal underworld forced marriage trope, the White Monarch series by Jessica Hawkins, so I was perhaps a bit wary that this would be a carbon copy of it, but no, it’s a different take on the mafia/cartel/criminal underworld forced marriage idea. And K Webster and Nikki Ash do it so much justice!
Kostas is a possessive, psychotic alpha, and I hated that I fell for him because he was honestly quite a dick. But Talia gave as good as she got, and I loved it about her. This first part of Talia and Kosta’s story is seriously sexy and intense and suspenseful and I want part 2, NOW!
I love both Nikki Ash and Kristi Webster as individual Authors so when they team up for a writing project you bet I am going to read it. Hidden Truths is book 1 in a mafia, arranged marriage, dark romantic suspense novel. One thing I admire about Kristi and Nikki is they like to underpin their story with a myth or legend or a retelling of a classic and this is no different. A tale of Hades are Proserpina seems fitting with the novel being based in Crete.
Talia is the heroine of the story, a young woman sold off by her father to a mafia family he is indebted to. A woman with a boyfriend, plans for her education, to travel and to live the life she wants; but fate has dealt her a different hand, and she is in for one hell of a rough ride.
Kostas the hero of the story or anti-hero I suppose. The son of the mafioso and destined to take over when the time comes. Kostas is both feared and respected in society, a man to get things done, one who is scared of no-one, seemingly cold and heartless but is that really the case?
I found Kostas and Talia both likeable characters. The story line progressed at a comfortable pace with a plot that kept me engaged. A good mix of quality writing, throughout characters and a story line that holds plenty of twists and a good splash of darkness.
Any fans of Willow Winters, Monica James – All the pretty thing series, and Ker Dukey will enjoy this book. Now the wait begins for book two!
I’ve read a lot of different works from K Webster so I’m very familiar with her voice. I also read the last book these two authors collaborated on, Heath, and was blown away by it, so it’s no surprise I jumped at reading an early copy of this book. You guys …. This story is dramatic and gritty and seriously sexy!! Pretty sure every cell in my body was a live while I read. It had an edgy suspenseful quality to it that kept me turning page after page after page and even tho I knew a bomb was approaching at the end, I was still screaming when it happened!
There is so much happening on these pages. The journey is fueled by emotion. Not always good emotion, but emotion nonetheless. Talia and Kostas were fire and ice! Their story was unpredictable. They were unpredictable. Take nothing at face value. This is just the beginning …. Stay tuned *evil laugh*
Is there any way to give more than five stars. Hidden Truths is so freaking remarkable that I could not put this book down. Even after reading the last word twelve hours ago, I am still being hunted by this book.
Hidden Truths is a story written by two of the best authors out there. K Webster and Nikki Ash are two of my go-to authors, but when they write together, hold on to your seats. In Hidden Truths, we get a dangerous crime family that owns everything in sight. Kostos is the son that will take over that family. He is the devil in disguise. Kostos relishes in his life and is perfectly happy with everything he is and does. But now he has to marry someone he knows nothing about.
Talia is just beautiful. Her whole spirit jumps out at you in this book. For how dark Kostos is, Talia is only as bright. Talia has no idea that her father has pretty much sold her to Kostos. So now she is to marry him or die. But everything that happens to this beautiful light might make that light faint a little before she even walks down that aisle.
Will Kostos and Talia be able to find a happy ever after? Can Talia find some strength in her husband even though he does not want her? Will Kostos find love in his hardened heart? With all of these questions out there, the book stops!! Damn, duets. HAHA. But I LOVED this book. I stayed up until almost 2 a.m. to find out what would happen next.
Absolutely loved this book! It was a fabulous read that I could not put down once I started it. I highly recommend that you read this book as well as the one to follow it.
GAHHHH. I need book 2!! This was such an intriguing storyline! Talia & Kostas were great characters. I loved her strength & tenacity! She was an amazing heroine, especially in such a hard situation. Kostas is a great bully/Hero! He was attractive and I just loved him.
The book was unputdownable! LOVED IT!
There is something about arranged marriage books that I just love. I love they they are strangers and I love the chemistry and sexual tension between the couple as they get to know each other, and Webster and Ash have created something special with this duet.
Talia is taken, well, given by her father, to pay his debt to the Demetriou family. She has no idea why has had been summoned by her father but quickly realises her fate when she meets her future husband, Kostas.
While Kostas is powerful and someone who should be feared, his brother, Aris, shows a softer side which Talia appreciates more.
Kostas is next in line to take over the family business, the legitimate and illegitimate and carries so much power and authority and is someone who is feared and not to be crossed.
I loved Kostas and his power. He’s ruthless, takes no prisoners and is possessive of Talia in a sweet endearing way. Although Talia was given by her father, she is no weakling. She’s strong, sassy and someone to be admired for her strength.
This book has it all, it’s dark, twisted, filled with suspense and angst for what’s going to happen, as well as those sweet sexy moments between the couple giving you all the feels.
The book was a nice little surprise with lots going on, jaw dropping moments, something I didn’t see coming and moments with anguish. It was an easy read that I devoured in one sitting, unable to put it down and after the cliffhanger I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Hidden Truths…is a dark masterpiece!
This book will have you hooked from the start. Kostas is a man you will learn to love and hate at the same time. Talia is forced into a marriage she doesn’t want. Can she learn to love a monster? This story will take you on a dark and twisted journey. You will start to root for the bad guy. I loved every minute of this book. I can’t wait for the second book.
OMG, Nikki Ash and K. Webster have done a fantastic job with Hidden Truths! I could not put this book down. As soon as you start reading you are pulled into the story and experience what the characters experience. Talia and Kostas have this push and pull that you can’t ignore and will have you on the edge of your seat following their journey. I have no other words because I don’t want to give it away, so you have to read this book to find out. You will be hooked from the start and all the twists and turns that come will have you begging for more. I cannot wait for the second part of this duet to come out. It can’t come fast enough! If you want to experience Talia and Kostas, you just need to read it!
Kosta and Talia are my new favorite couple. There is so much in this story and it won’t let you go. There’s suspense and darkness and lies and even love. I couldn’t put it down and it had me on edge with the twists and turns. Even their names are hot! You need to read this and now I can’t wait for the second part.
Holy crap! This was so good. So things i wasn’t expecting but were so fitting! But goodness i sure need book 2 of this duet like asap! They left us hanging wondering whats going…. if Kostas will find out or not? Where and who took Talia? I have so many questions. Can’t wait!
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book (given by the authors)…
I NEED STOLEN LIES ASAP!
I can’t even process what just happened right now… there’s so many things and I don’t want to spoil anything. First I must say this book has some very traumatic scenes that may trigger some people.
I have to say starting from that first chapter I thought Kostas was going to be the big bad, but looks can be deceiving. My first impression of Talia was that she was spoiled and didn’t have any real responsibilities, however, after what her father does, her life quickly changes and so does she; she becomes stronger and takes ahold of her future.
After what happens to Talia the night of their rehearsal dinner, I was on edge wondering how it would play out and what would happen to Talia. Kostas was always honest about who he was and even though he was an ass, he ends up being a relatable character in certain ways. He is the big bad in their mafia world, but he also has the heart that his dear mother raised him with; so naturally he’s a bit of oxymoron and his actions with Talia reveal the true him. I absolutely hate hate hate 1 person in particular and I’m scared he’s not done with Talia just yet; especially with how this book ended.
I want to say I enjoyed most of the characters in this book but actually I only like 3: Talia, Kostas and maybe Phoenix, Talia’s brother.
I fear one of my concerns may be true and I need to know what will happen next; our couple is surrounded by lies and danger, who can they trust?
I NEED MORE, I NEED TO KNOW WHAT IS NEXT FOR KOSTAS AND TALIA.
Did she? Or didn’t she?
I need answers!!!
And I’m thinking there is a bit more to the sour coffee and not so tasty shrimp?
But the monthly thing has left me unsure it was alluded to though not confirmed.
I wish this had been longer! I know I know, I’m seriously greedy that way.
I don’t want to give any spoilers or even clues as to how things play out
There are so many “oh no you didn’t” and “you go girl” moments
Talia is a ball buster… seriously that girl just blazes through the negative and keeps reaching for the positive
Kostas is a horse’s backside – possibly redeemable but the jury is still out
Aris is fun-loving, outgoing and a tad green it seems (in both ways really)
This does take place at times in the far fetched end of the pool but it works. The cast was just so vibrant(?) I instantly connected and was engaged. The story line held me captive and had me wanting more with each turn of the page
I stayed up past bedtime to finish this
I need book two yesterday!!
The copy I read was comp
I haven’t read too many books this year that absolutely blew me away but Hidden Truths did exactly that! It’s the type of book that sits with you well after you have finished. It is raw, gritty, and dirty…exactly what I expected from romantic suspense stories! There was so much intrigue and mystery to the story that I could not put it down. Then there were all these other twists and turns that kept me guessing and needing to know what was going to happen. I loved everything about this book! It was so well written and had an amazing story and I am beyond excited to see what will happen next!
WOW!!! I’m not sure if I hate Kostas, like him or just find him sexy as hell!!! I love the mobster storyline with the bad boy that has that little bit of sweetness to him.
Talia is your girl that has her world turned upside down and isn’t sure what to think. I couldn’t put this book down and CAN NOT wait for the next book to see what happens. Another amazing book from two amazing authors.
I thought I knew where the story was going… but boy did I not have a clue! I was taken aback by the turn of events and by the actions of certain characters. It seems that looks can be deceiving. Monsters don’t always look the way you think they do. I was surprised by how easily Talia takes to her new situation. She accepts her place as Kostas’ wife with relative ease but she does push back when he refuses to concede on certain issues. I don’t blame Talia and her actions. She is placed into a difficult situation and is doing what she can to survive. But I don’t think she ever thought she should actually develop feelings along the way. Now Kostas. He is an intriguing individual. Granted, he is a total a..hole but Talia isn’t the only one who develops feelings. He, as much as Talia, is taken aback by the events that unfolded and is trying to get his head around everything and get his business in order. Just when I thought I knew where the story was going at that point in time, I was taken aback once more. Both K Webster and Nikki Ash have managed to keep me on edge and uncertain about everything. The story lives up to its name. There is so much hidden that I can’t wait to see what Stolen Lies has in store.
