This book had most everything that I love, all wrapped up in one story! Arranged marriage, enemies to lovers, and mafia – which it was great to see as Greek this time. I was absolutely not prepared to see how dark this book was, and practically right off the bat, but I live for that stuff so it’s all good. I’m not a fan of cliffhangers, but I have both books in the duet so I’m okayish with it this time, and other than one other thing that happened here (which I’m sure resolves in book 2) this book was amazing!.
I was drawn into the story like a moth to a flame, couldn’t put the book down. As soon as this review is written I’m going to start reading Stolen Lies. Not sure how realistic some of this book was, but it’s a work of fiction…so it works. With the setting in Greece, I love the inclusion of Greek mythology as I find it intriguing.
Our heroine Talia is a student of the arts, when summer break arrives her world is turned upside down. Her well laid plans disintegrate into a pipe dream when her brother makes an impromptu visit. Blood is thicker than water but I’m not so sure that Talia would choose the family she has if given a choice.
Kosta is the first born son of the head of an organised crime family. Demetriou is a name synonymous with power, money and fear. Daddy dearest appears to undermine Kosta’s methods with a conniving rat. He’s behaving shadily and being cryptic, while Kosta’s younger brother Aris watches from the sidelines with an envious eye.
So this book started off promising, Talia being forced to marry Kostas because of her selfish father who owed Kostas money. I hate the father, he honestly had the fucking never to say Please forgive me, sunshine. You are everything to me. I JUST WANTED TO BITCH SLAP HIM THEN! Worst father of the year award goes to HIM!
Anyway the plot twists that led till the wedding. I WAS SO NOT EXPECTING THAT. It got me really excited to finish this book. After the first twist, I was still trying to process it and figure out what can happen next until another twist happens leaving me shocked.
Anyway up till that point I was devouring this book until everything just went downhill. Talia went from hating Kostas’s guts to “KOSTAS DONT LEAVE ME”.
Like okay after the first and second plot twist she could easily run away but she did not. And she became this needy girl after Khosta even though she just hated his guts a few days ago. So I did not understand the DRASTIC change in their relationship. So yeah blah blah blah book ends with Talia being kidnapped and I ALREADY KNOW WHO IS BEHIND EVERYTHING AFTER THE SECOND PLOT TWIST.
Am I disappointed with this book? Absofuckinglutely.
Will I read the second book? Yes BECAUSE I WANT TO SEE KHOSTA RUIN THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SECOND PLOT TWIST.
Hidden Truths is book #1 in the Truths and Lies Duet, and was quite a pager turner that kept me on the edge of my seat with all the twists and turns.
The story is masterfully written, suspenseful, intense, with unexpected plot twists, well-developed characters, and emotionally compelling. Can’t wait for the conclusion!
I’m sad to say this is my first time reading a collaboration between Nikki Ash and K. Webster. I should have done it sooner. I loved the character development between Kostas and Talia. He was dark and twisted. She was fiery and independent. I loved how they clashed and came together. I loved how the authors pulled in Greek mythology, art, and food into the story. I felt like I immersed in the culture. The cliffhanger had me but I’m diving straight into Stolen Lies.
I LOVED this book. Kostas was EVERYTHING. Nikki and K really brought a new twist to the Mafia World. This book was original and addicting. Thank you both!!!
Wow, Hidden Truths indeed. I would say that this book was out of the realm of secret baby/ single parent sweet romances I’m used to by Nikki Ash but that’s not a bad thing! Hidden Truth was very dramatic and intense. Talia is a college student when drama from her father causes her life to change completely. She’s forced into marriage with Kostas, a Greek mobster and her life has done a complete 180. Kostas is a domineering and sexy hero how slowly softens towards his new wife. A rough and tragic start to their marriage slowly moves into something more. I quickly devoured their story and was left wanting more and more. I would almost recommend waiting to read Hidden Truths until the final book, Stolen Lies comes out but that’s just me. The passion between Kostas and Talia burns up the pages!
The imagination of these two authors has really suppressed me in this novel. The places they created, the characters they wove together and the plot that wouldn’t stop even when I had to be an adult. The story had ups and downs but it hooked me right from the start. It may be a romance of convince type read but it was really so much more then that. I shouldn’t be so shocked because I really enjoy these author’s books and they really work well together.
Oh Kostas. I wanted to slap him and then pull him close so many times. He was alpha to the core but also had a heart. Talia wasn’t weak and I found that I loved that. Yes there were times she seemed that way but you could feel her strength.
With aspects of Greek mythology, this book engrossed me from start to finish. really don’t want to give too much away but let’s just say I need the next book like now! I need to know what’s going to happen with these characters and I pray they get their HEA and any vengeance they deserve. 5 stars #2OCCJD
Holy moly this book is the bomb! I could not put it down once I started it! I love Kostas he is my new villain+hero!!
What an emotional roller coaster this book was. It was so intense I couldn’t put this down. I’m dying to know what’s about to go down. It’s was super good, so interesting and just about the best drama filled moments! Truly I escaped to this amazing place I didn’t want to leave!
From start to finish this book was awesome. I was left with excitement, only a good story with great characters can give. Truly a good read!
I know I’m obsessed with K Webester but I swear there isn’t one book I have not found I like. Especially when she teams up with other authors. She has proven she can write any type of book, story and have all kinds of characters. I truly LOVE it all!
But this book, this story was dark. And I must say it’s my favorite K! She opened a door for me with reading that I never knew possible. But crazy K is my favorite!
First of all, you can never go wrong reading a book by these two authors. Add on that’s it’s a mobster and arranged marriage story is just a bonus. This was a good one to get started back on. It had the intensity, suspense and love story all in one.
Kostas is a dangerous man that will kill without a second thought. He’s all business and his dad’s right hand man. His dad has arranged for him to marry for revenge. Talia is Sassy and strong. She thought her life as she knew it was over after her dad gave her over to the mob family. She thought it was her new husband that would cause her trouble. Trouble was brewing in other areas. She thought she would hate her new husband. She learned love and hate have a connection.
There were some things I didn’t see coming and some that had me guessing. I liked the connection between the characters and their family. I’m highly anticipating the next book.
Wow hidden truths just from the title it makes you wonder what is this book about from the beginning I was like wow this book has me interested from kostas him being the devil to meeting talia but can two completely different people really be for each other. I can’t wait to read more from these two they are interesting for sure!
This is the first book in Kostas and Talias duet/story and I really enjoyed it quite a bit. She is being made to be his wife even though she doesn’t want to or can’t stand him at first. Although with time it starts changing for both of them. Can’t wait for the second part in this duet to see what happens with them.
Hidden Truths – wow- what a book. Talia and Kostas are quite the story. He’s a mobster full of hate, she’s given to be his wife. The book is dark yet real. It had a great pace, filled with twists that surprised the readers and I think the characters too. Watching Talia and Kostas make a life together drew me in.
I cannot wait for Stolen Lies. No spoilers here expect to say this book does not disappoint and read it now!!

Nikki Ash and K.Webster were designed to write novels together!
I’m just dying!!! Dying for book two and more Kostas!!!
You see I was dreading reading this AMAZING BOOK because I knew it was going to end up as a cliffhanger and I hate waiting BUT jeez louise did Hidden Truths keep me at the edge of my seat. Y’all let me tell ya this one is a must “ONE-CLICK” SOOOO CLICK AWAY!!!!!!!
4.5 stars – From the moment I heard Nikki Ash and K Webster were going to write together again, I knew I had to read whatever story they put out and my instincts were spot on. I loved Kostas and Talia and the relationship they built over the course of Hidden Truths. The way the authors highlighted the parallels between their relationship and that of Pluto and Proserpina made my mythology-loving heart swell and was especially poignant due to the story’s setting of Crete. As much as I wanted to rush thru it, I forced myself to savor the story, knowing that it was part one of a duet and the wait until part two would be agony, and now that I have finished, December 12th cannot come soon enough.
OH MY GREEK GOD!!! Hidden Truths is out of this world!!! Nikki Ash and K. Webster have nailed it with this UNICORN of a duet series!!! I was hooked starting with the dedication page, wondering where the story would take me and then…just wow!!! Never saw that coming! This book is deliciously wicked good. With tension. With secrets. With twist & turns. And with HOT AS HADES sex between a dirty-talking monster and a beauty of sunshine who are a complicated hot mess, but still so freaking good together! I just want MORE! I cannot wait for the next one…heart pounding, thighs rubbing together, MORE everything!
This book was filled with everything I could want in a book and so much more wow I thought it was going one way and boy did I have that wrong …..
I really loved this book I cant wait to see what’s next …. the ending omg !
So I haven’t read many mafia romances but this one did the job.
Talia is forced into a marriage to a family who is ruthless and vengeful but how could she ever fall in love with this man? Kostas learned from the meanest man he knew to be unfeeling and hell bent.
But who knew that everything would change?
