Arguably the oldest book in the Bible, the book of Job has a surprising amount to say about some of the newest scientific discoveries and controversies. Far from a book that is just about suffering, Job is filled with rich insight into both ancient and modern questions aboutthe formation of the worldthe difference between animals and humanscosmologydinosaurs and the fossil recordhow to care for … record

With careful consideration and exegesis, internationally known astrophysicist and Christian apologist Hugh Ross adds yet another compelling argument to the case for the veracity of the biblical commentary on the history of the universe, Earth, life, and humanity. Hidden Treasures in the Book of Job shows that the Bible is an accurate predictor of scientific discoveries and a trustworthy source of scientific information, and that both the book of Scripture and the book of nature are consistent both internally and externally.

Yet another sparkling gem from the treasure house that is the mind of Hugh Ross! A fabulous and typically thoughtful treatment of many vitally important subjects.
This is very interesting and non traditional point of view on the book of Job. It is definitely must be read by people who has scientific mind and is interested in Bible and vice versa
Encouraging to read a book that linked the truth of God with the evidence of science.
Wow!! This book answers alot of questions, and brings up even more! LoL After reading it, I am also purchasing other books by Hugh Ross – Fabulous, down-to-earth, brilliant and humble man!
Inspiring and informative.
The book of Job has, sadly, been misunderstood for many, many years. This book can help us reconnect to the truths contained and to lay down the myths that misrepresent it.
This is a study of the book of Job in the Bible but not like the usual studies. The author uses Job and other parts of the Bible to give his ideas on creation. It is a completely different way of looking at the story as we have learned in church. He agrees that God created the world but gives thought-provoking ideas about evolution, dinosaurs, taking care of the world, etc.
I enjoyed this book — some new perspectives on creation from the book of Job I had not considered. Very good.
Gave me a new appreciation for the Book of Job and especially for its accounts of creation which supplement Genesis.
That the Book of Job is relevant to what’s going on today in the world
Whether you a non-believing skeptic, an old-earther, or young-earther, this is a thought-provoking book that stirs up some interesting questions. I can’t say I agree completely with everything the author puts forth as his thesis, but there’s a lot of common ground that we can share, and enough bits to chew on for a long while.
I was not aware of verses in Job that made reference to creation. I can see more than the suffering of Job. I think the author is rewriting the gap theory in much of his analysis and disregards the bible’s definition for faith. Hebrew’s 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Science wants evidence.
A fascinating book by an author with whom I had not previously been familiar. Although I disagree with his “old world” theory, he is very biblically sound in many other areas. His ideas about many of the animals which God created and which God and Job dialogue about are both fascinating and enlightening.
If you thought you understood the book of Job you really need to get into this easy-to-read book. Enlightening!
Outstanding researched challengingly blended with spiritual insight drew me closer to the Lord.
Having been trying to get through the book of Job and deciding to give up, this book showed up on Bookbub. Angels answer prayers
It is informative and readable. I learned so much. And have gone back for another attempt at Job with a fresh look.
