I liked this story a lot. The sneakiness of the matchmaker astounds me. The characters are interesting and I liked how they met.
Asher is an art appraiser and former actor. People recognize him which causes some interesting situations. While appraising some new art for a client, he unexpectedly meets their nanny. Asher knows immediately that she is the one for him.
Alyx is working as a temporary nanny for the Petersons while their regular nanny is on an extended vacation. She is working to make money before going back to grad school. Alyx never expected that she’d run into Asher and be knocked for a loop. When he asks to take her out, she is shocked but happy to see where things could go.
The way that Asher and Alyx meet is so funny. I loved that Amelia called him Man even though she had been told his name. I also loved that he actually followed through with what he told Amelia. I would totally keep Asher! I liked their happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.
Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Once I started I could not put the book down from start to finish you just could not get enough with twists and turns hot and steamy like a rollercoaster ride of emotions that makes you want more. Alyx works as a nanny for the Peterson’s. Zaftig Dating Agency was trying to find someone for Asher. Will they set these two up and could the two make it work.

He has an eye for masterpieces and she is definitely the best
Hidden Treasure is the fourteenth book in the Zaftig Dating Agency series and is the story of Asher and Alyx.
Asher Schulman is forty years old and is an art appraiser working in the family owned business, Schulman Appraisals. He has been referred to the Zaftig Dating Agency by his mother who says her works to hard and needs to find a smart woman so he can learn how to balance work and play better. This man has an interesting history as when he graduated high school he took off for Hollywood to become an actor. He immediately was cast as Dax Powers, the lead, in a series of movies. Four years later and he left Hollywood, went to school for his BA in art history and got his job through good old fashioned family nepotism.
Alyx Miller is twenty-four years old and is working as a nanny for the Peterson family for a month during her summer while the regular nanny is on vacation. She is going to start her last year as a Grad student studying art history.
The Peterson’s have purchased a couple new paintings that need to be appraised for insurance. Schulman Appraisals is hired for the appraisal and Asher is sent to the Peterson house. While he is in the studio room inspecting the paintings in comes four year old Amelia and quickly chasing after her is Alyx with two year old Thomas on her hip. Amelia is a bossy and very smart young lady and before they leave Asher has promised to join them for a tea party when he is done. Actually Asher did that he took one look at the beautiful and curvy Alyx and he was done for. Before he leaves Asher is asking Alyx for a date and she is accepting, dinner the coming Sunday evening. Asher takes Alyx to a wonderful place out of town and as they both have drunk and are over the limit they decide to rent a cabin out back for the night, after their waiter tells mentions them. Asher is about to have a second helping of dessert tonight and it not going to be the chocolate mousse!
Mona Zaftig has once again worked her magic and found the perfect match between Asher and Alyx. They are matched intellectually, physically, emotionally and with futures that will joined in Schulman Appraisals, thank you for nepotism.
This was a sweet, little book. It had some steamy bits and romantic bits, and it was really everything you could ask for in a book that long. It would be perfect for a night when you were tired but still wanted to read a short romance before bed. I really enjoyed Alyx and Asher though especially Alyx.

“Hidden Treasure” is a part of the author’s matchmaking series. The brief lead-up to these stories sets everything up perfectly. Asher is an art appraiser who meets Alyx at the house of a client. Alyx is an art student and the attraction is mutual. A sweet introduction, a scenic dinner date and “Dessert”! I love that Asher is such a gentleman! Good dialogue and emotion for a short romance.

Sometimes fate needs a little help getting deserving people together. Welcome to the files of the Zaftig Dating Agency, where Mona Zaftig gives a little help in the background so that alpha men will discover the women of their dreams! The potential match this time is between Asher Schulman, a 40-year-old art appraiser working in the family business, Schulman Appraisals; and 24-year-old Alyx Miller, Grad student in art history.
Asher arrived at the Peterson home for an arranged appraisal of some art work Mr. Peterson had just acquired. Alyx was watching the two children as part of her temporary nanny job when the 4-year-old ran down the hall. She was holding the 2-year-old on her hip, so was not as fast as usual in catching the young girl. She races after her into a study of some sort, closes the door behind her and says, “Gotcha!” and is staring at an extremely handsome man! He actually looks like a superhero looking for a phone booth as he looks at a painting. Amelia reverts to her stubborn streak as she demands a tea party with the tall man attending. He gets on one knee to tell her that if she behaves for Alyx, he will join her in an hour for tea when he finishes his work. When tea is over and Amelia again stubbornly insists that he stay, he tells her that he would get in trouble with his dad – and she nods knowingly and accepts his reason. When he asks her on his way out if she will have dinner with him on Sunday, she can hardly speak and happily nods! They both felt that strong attraction right from the start. Is this the beginning of a real and beautiful relationship?
These stories are so excellent! In a short amount of time, the reader will already love the characters and wish only the best for them. The author is skilled in allowing the reader to experience the emotions of the characters, which brings them to life and makes them feel like old friends. The story line is well-paced and comfortable. Grab your copy and thoroughly enjoy how two people begin to fall in love. Will Alyx find her superhero is real after all?
Short and sweet.
Another addition to her match maker series featuring an arranged set meeting (unwittingly on the couple) and it’s on.
Recommend.

My only complaint is that it isn’t long enough. Alyx and Asher are adorable together. Asher is so taken with her that he agrees to a tea party with a 2 and a 4 year old. Hehehe… It was definitely another fantastic match by Mona. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
