I’m the Princess of the Doomsday Sinners MC.Indulged. Shallow. The most popular girl in school. My name is Nova Stubbs and all of those words have been used to describe me, they define me. Or at least that’s what people think.No-one except my family ever bothered to look past the mask I wear, the role I play. Because this is what they want me to be, who they expect. If they looked a little deeper … they expect.
If they looked a little deeper they’d see the crumbling mess I am.
I care too much and hate who I pretend to be. My mind is too loud and it consumes me. Staying hidden is the only way I survive.
Then Valentine Miller steps into my world.
He hates me. He manipulates me and controls me. But when I’m with him he makes the world quiet.
Love. Hate. Need. Want. I feel them all when he touches me.
Valentine wants to ruin me and I might let him.

Nova is the daughter of the president of the Doomsday Sinners MC. She and her brother Zeke run the high school until bad boy Valentine shows up to turn things upside down. Valentine hates Nova and makes it well known to everyone. Nova isn’t the spoiled princess everyone thinks she is, she has crushing anxiety that she hides with a gruff exterior. This is not your usual teenage romance. Pick up this book and get reading!
Wow. I’ve had this book on my shelf for a while now, but unfortunately, life has just kept me from opening it. Now, 24 hours after opening the first page, I sit here with a finished book in my lap feeling absolutely stunned and completely lost for words. There was just something about this book. I am not a fan of bully romances at all, but this one was just such a stunning, chaotic ball of anxiety with this constant threat of violence that it had me squirming uncomfortably in my seat. I found myself hating the MMC to the point of almost wishing death on him, then suddenly in the last few pages falling head over heels into his camp, cheering him on. Just a warning though, this book does end with a dreaded cliffy, but if this book is any depiction of what is in store for us readers, then I’m hella excited to see what’s next.
Nova suffers from anxiety but pushes it away reminding herself that she’s not weak, she’s the daughter of a biker, she’s the princess of Doomsday Sinners MC, she’s not the girl who questions everything and hides away.
With her Auntie and Uncle getting a new foster kid, they all head over to meet them. Meeting Valentine, she never knew what her mum meant that she was drawn to her dad, but there’s something about Valentine, but she’s never met someone so crude to her, but he affects her.
Things continue to escalate with Valentine admitting that he hates that he wants her like she hates that she wants him. Valentine lets her know she defied him, so he took something from her, he says she’s cold and warm he wants to see the real her and he’s prepared to hurt everyone around her to do it.
Forced to give Valentine the kiss he demands, she’s angry but she’s never been kissed like he kisses her, she knows she could become addicted to him. Nova tries to convince herself that she’s only with him to save her friends and family from his threats. All she knows is the noise is quieter when she’s around Valentine, and she feels better. Will he realise what started out as a game, is starting to mean more or will he break her.
So I’ll be honest – when I first met Valentine I absolutely hated his guts. I couldn’t find any redeeming qualities AT ALL. I hated him all the more for what he was putting sweet Nova through. The writing about her anxiety is so true to life (as a sufferer myself). It reminded me so much of high school and all of the roles we play just to get through the day.
If it wasn’t for the book being written so well and me wanting to find out what happens I might have given up at 80%. Thank god I didn’t because Valentine does have a heart and he might be the only person left to calm her frayed nerves with his arms. I need the second book NOW!
I need more more more!
This book is 99p for pre-order (I’ve already reserved my copy), however, I was then lucky enough to receive an ARC. I’ve read a few books of Gemma Weir’s books and I like her alpha male style. This one is a little different as the characters are younger than our usual rodeo, but this one fell into my favourite genre which had me all excited. This is a Bully/ Hate romance which I’m a huge fan of.
Hidden has links to the MC series by this author, however, it can easily be read as a standalone. Nova is the daughter of the Vice President of the Doomsday Sinners. She and her brother rule the school. The new boy, Valentine is about to stir things up for our princess.
It’s hot, it’s ugly and all kinds of messed up. This book is executed well and leaves you wanting more of
The series.
5 stars out of 5. This is my kind of book.
*I received an ARC however I’ve ordered my forever copy. My review is my own thoughts.
OMG to be back in Archer’s Creek for the kids….. What can I say this book is a definite must read and page turner. You will feel this book deep in your soul. If you have ever suffered from feeling like you have to be someone your not to impress others or keep up with the expectations others have for you but it’s NOT YOU this is the book. You will have tears brought to your eyes and know deep in your heart that things have to work out but at times it’s just to hard if you don’t have that backing. And that family bond will not be broken. So grab your copy and enjoy this experience you will not be disappointed.
I should have started this book the day I got it. However, I was in such a book funk I didn’t want to read anything. I so wish I had not waited so long to read. I have devoured this book in one sitting and need book 2 like NOW.
I have read a couple of Gemma’s books but this one had more feeling and raw emotions than I have ever felt from her writing.
We stay with the Sinners MC but this story is from the perception of Nova, and the kids of the MC. With having to put on a front so people think she is something she isn’t it’s hard to do. Especially day in and day out. When Valentine arrives her life is turned upside down and the cracks appear even more.
I wanted to hate Valentine as I read the book but towards the end I wanted them to succeed. The story ends on a cliffhanger but I am sure it will be worth it. Especially when I start book 2.
Thank you for showing us the raw emotion and how anxiety can cripple your life and those around you.
This is the first book I’ve read by Gemma and WOW i loved it. I love a bully romance and this delivers that and so much more.
Nova’s anguish and turmoil throughout the story is intangible, you cant help but feel deeply for her battle with her anxiety. The constant fake identity at school is an enormous pressure on her suffering, and there’s only so much a mind can take, Nova is an amazing character that gives us an insight in to a young persons struggles with daily life when they have a mental illness.
OMG Valentine is completely horrible there is no signs of him being remotely nice or that he’s being this cruel to Nova is a total facade so i should hate him but i just dont. I was fuming at Valentine and his actions has if i was right there feeling all Nova’s emotions in those situations with him.
I do however have high hopes for book 2 that deep down Valentine is not what he perceives. I think Gemma’s writing and flow of storytelling is that good and that believable that Valentine cant be seen as anything but evil and controlling.
Gemma hasn’t just written a bully romance but a phenomenal story of a person suffering with an illness that cant be seen and all it’s affects not just to that person but also loved ones.
The next generation, I love these kind of books. You’ve seen the parents fall in love and now it’s down to the kids. This book though can be read as a standalone and the previous series does not need to be read.
This is Nova’s story, The biker princess of the Doomsday Sinners and the boy who takes her crown.
Hidden is based in a high school setting and most of the scenes revolve around high school, so this is quite different from Gemma Weir’s previous MC books but you still have the hotness, the alpha male character, the feel of the MC togetherness with Nova and her other family members who all attend the same school.
Nova is a messed up kind of girl, the plot immediately thrusts you into the mind of Nova, her inner battles and the many wars she has with herself, a teenage girl with anxiety, though I couldn’t figure out the root of her anxiety when she’s from a stable, strong and loving family.
Nova is the daughter of an MC club member and since the start of school Nova has played to her peer’s expectations of being a mean girl when inside she was anything but, at home she would let her mask fall and just be Nova.
Nova put on a show she thought they all expected in school but hated every minute of it, she was a little bit of a contradiction because she acted boldly, the high school bitch and yet in her thoughts she feared being talked about, whispered about, yet her actions justified being talked about, whispered about and by being the Bitch she thought people wanted she also made herself unapproachable….See, messed up?
Valentine comes onto the scene as the new guy in school with the bad boy vibe and boy was he bad and he immediately takes a dislike to Nova, even before school when he meets Nova at her Aunts home when he is introduced as the new foster kid and a new member to their home. But yes its instant dislike with Nova, how he did that with one glance I don’t know.
Valentine claims he sees her, the real her, the false her and he makes it his mission to make her uncomfortable, fear him by tormenting her, threatening her and his reason? well, that was a little unclear but I’m sure all will be revealed in the next book.
HIDDEN is a short bully romance that finishes with a cliffy but the next book FOUND is ready to jump into.
I enjoyed it, in fact, I didn’t put it down from start to finish, it was intense, hot unpredictable, it had an L.J Shen kind of feel to it with her mafia series, if you like that authors work, give this a shot.
I think this is the first series I’m starting where the kids are from an MC in a high school setting, I’ve read plenty of Mafia books similar so I love this, it’s refreshing when something is different from your norm.
Looking forward to the next book and conclusion also with other characters already drawing me to them I’m looking forward to the series too.
Told in first person pov.

Hidden by Gemma Weir is different then the normal MC books I read. I went into it thinking it would be an MC book like the norm. But it’s definitely not. It’s more bully to lover type. There were parts that I wasn’t fond of, but I think that is only because of the bully.
Nova is the daughter of a member of a motorcycle club. To make sure that none of the other kids mess with her, her dad always dropped her and her brother, Zeke, off at school on the first day on the back of his motorcycle. Which unknown to him at the time, alienated her and her brother. She had to put this imaginary mask on every day that made her seem cold, and the typical mean girl, but if you really got to know her she was the opposite. Yet only her family sees the real her. She also deals with really bad anxiety, yet won’t tell anyone except Zeke because she is scared of being judged even more by her classmates and the town.
Valentine is being fostered by Nova’s aunt and uncle. He meets the entire family at one time, which I think would really overwhelm someone. Anyway, one look at Nova and he seems to make it his life mission to ruin her. And he isn’t shy about telling and showing her this.
During the entire book, except one chapter you are in Nova’s point of view. I liked the book but I’m not a fan of the bully type. I didn’t realize this was one until I got into it. Other than that I thoroughly loved the book. I want to read the next one just so I know how their story ends.
**ARC provided for an honest review**
I don’t always know why I’m drawn to ‘bully’ books as it’s very hard to read sometimes as I’ve been there myself but this story is a bit different and is more than just that. It also deals with anxiety and how you see the other side of the ‘popular’ crowd. Nothing is ever black and white. For me, Nova has her strengths and flaws but she tries to take it one day at a time and on the other hand you have, Valentine, that still has a lot of redeeming to do for me as at times I found him to be too much but I’ll have to wait to read the next book to see if he can! Overall, a great read that will leave you on the edge of your seat!
Nova seems to have the perfect life and after summer break is over, she and most of her family go back to school. They’ve always been the ‘sinners’ kids and been protected that way but when a new boy comes into her life, things are about to change in high school and in her senior year. Even though Nova is part of the popular crowd, there’s so much more than meets the eye but she never lets anyone see what’s underneath the surface and deals with a lot on her own. And although there seems to be an undeniable pull between her and Valentine, she wants nothing to do with him but he’ll not leave her much choice. But nothing is what it seems and in the end everything could fall down around her…
I seriously have no words! This book has totally knocked me on my a$$! I honestly did not know what I was going into when I opened this book, but once opened I couldn’t out it down (well, unfortunately I had to because I needed to go to work!).
There were times my hands covered my face, I had to put the kindle down and take a breathe before continuing. This truly got me and I felt everything Nova felt, my heart truly breaking. And nothing prepared me for that ending, Sweet Jesus, I am in pieces.
wow
Honestly guys … are there readers that have yet to experience this author? If you’re reading this and you’re one of those readers, fix it. FIX IT NOW.
So, about this book …. Sometimes I try to figure out if there’s just one word I could say about a book that would encompass the entire story. There’s a word for this story. Emotional. Not always good, but always there. I’m not kidding, it’s all kinds of emotional. I guarantee you will want to slap the living *cough* out of these kids one minute and hug them fiercely the next. It’s a roller-coaster. Don’t try and understand it, just ride it 🙂
I’m not huge on this trope and or genre. But this author has talent, so I dug in. It’s so damn perfect I can’t even tell you. I mean I could, but a play by play is not my review style. I’m just going to tell you this is real. This is relatable. This is well written. Go forth and #oneclick. You won’t regret it!
Copy provided for blog tour but duh I #oneclicked lol
When you start a book without what to expect and it absolutely blows your mind – THIS!!! Hidden is totally different from Gemma’s other books (you can read this without reading her other books) but thats what makes it sooooo good, I think its my favourite yet. Be warned though – this book comes with one hell of an ending that had me screaming at ny Kindle in disbelief!!!
Nova is the daughter of the president local motorcycle club. Shes up there on a pedestal, all eyes are on her, more so by Nova herself. The result is crippling anxiety that I felt in every word on the page. Valentine – I have never wanted to jump in a book and slap a character more than this guy, he’s your stereotypical troubled teen to a tee, but he’s also Nova’s worse nightmare. It all comes together in a story you just can’t put down!!! So excited for Found now.
Kinda gutted I could only give this 5 stars, it deserves way more, well done Gemma!!!! Get this on your TBR now!
I love Gemma Weirs books and have loved her Archer Creek series of stories so I was very excited when I heard the ‘The Scions’ were coming. A spin-off duet about the kids of the original Archer Creek Gang. This is the next generation, and you do not need to have read the others first (however I have no doubt you’ll want to!)
Hidden is a story of hate. And I need to start by saying I don’t like Valentine!! I just could not warm to him, even a little throughout this book. I think there is potential there for him to change my mind, but as book 1 ended, he is my least favourite character I have read for a while. However I have high hopes that Book 2 will prove me wrong…
Nova on the other hand is brilliant. Suffering from huge amounts of anxiety especially whilst at school, she has perfected a mask and strong front that she puts up around her. High walls to guard herself from people that don’t know her. However when she is with her family, her brothers and her best friend Emmy you really can see the real Nova and the lovey girl that is hiding underneath.
When Valentine arrives and tries to knock down the walls that she has built around her he doesn’t understand the full consequences of his actions. And what will happen when things get taken too far?
This story did have me on the edge of my seat and it as a real page turner which left me holding my breath on more than one occasion. With a cliff-hanger ending, I cannot wait to see what book 2 brings – and I am still hoping that Valentine can redeem himself…
Nova Stubbs is the princess of the Doomsday Sinners MC and on the first day of high school her dad drove her to school on his motorcycle and made her “untouchable”. Yet beneath the cold exterior that Nova shows everyone is a vulnerable girl who relies heavily on her brother Zeke and best friends Griffin and Emmy.
When her Aunt Brandi and Uncle Sleaze bring a new foster son into their family, 18 year old Valentine Miller, he begins to challenge Nova in a way she hasn’t been challenged before.
Can Nova keep up her ice princess persona when she seems to be having more and more panic attacks? Will Valentine knock Nova off her pedestal and reveal her weaknesses to everyone around her?
As I began to read this book I thought it was headed one way but then it completely turned on how I thought it was going and I couldn’t get enough of it!!
I absolutely loved Nova as she was truly battling everything that so many girls go through in high school with being afraid to show any weaknesses. Yet at the same time she hated being seen as two different people and was afraid she would lose everything if people knew the other side of her. She was so vulnerable and I loved the bond between her and her brother Zeke. I also really liked her relationship with Emmy and how she finally opened up to her.
Valentine Miller was a mystery who seemed to have so much hatred inside of him for Nova and the way she lived her life. It was his goal to destroy her in a certain sense and gain power over her. I am curious to know more about his background as to why he is the way he is.
My heart broke for Nova as I watched her fake her way through it all and then watch as she protected those she loved by giving in to Valentine. He was definitely cold and ruthless.
There were a few altercations that I knew Valentine was behind and it was sad that Nova craved the silence that came with Valentine.
The end of the book left my jaw dropped to the ground and I was completely blown away by what happened. Yet the very end was even more shocking and I am left wondering what is going to happen!!
I need the next book!!!

Shredded!
I recommend reading where you can openly cry and have copious amounts of tissues and possibly a defibrillator handy – I can’t tell you how many times I felt my chest constrict or my breath catch as I carefully turned the page frightened of what I would find
From the moment Nova’s inner turmoil took center stage I was lost. I could feel her pain and emptiness. It radiated so strongly from the pages –
Everything in me wanted to hold her to protect her.
Tell her it would be okay.
Even if I wasn’t so sure myself.
Valentine is pure evil and one he ll of a professional manipulator. We aren’t given much about his past or him – except I believe he is the devil incarnate!
I do so hope we get a glimpse of what triggered his anger his absolute loathing for Nova.
This ends by ripping out the reader’s heart and just leaving it to bleed out upon the pages (that means it ends on a bit of a cliffy)
Young Adult done right –
If you are looking for Angst
Subtle power plays
Momentary feeling of hopelessness
Dark and broody alphas
Without all the immaturity
Then may I recommend The Scions
WOW. This is my first Gemma book and it did not disappoint! I’m not usually a fan of a bully romance, but this one was soooo well written! Gemma had me on a roller coaster of feels the whole time! I just wanted to hug Nova the whole book. And Valentine….he’s the epitome of an a**hole hero, but I somehow find myself loving him while I hate him. I’m dying for book 2!!!
Oh my goodness!! This author takes you on an emotional roller coaster with this story. The story is heartbreaking at times you just want to wrap them up and give them hugs. You can feel Nova’s every emotion from practically the first page. The club Princess, Nova, hides her pain behind a mask but when a bad boy foster kid shows up her mask begins to slip. Will she show her true self without the mask to Valentine? I can’t wait to read Found, the next installment of this series!! I highly recommend this book!
The next generation is here! The Doomsday Sinners young ones are growing up and Princess Nova is off to high school. Her nemesis appears in the form of a swoon worthy mean boy, Valentine. He’s a foster kid with a chip on his shoulder and decides his target is Nova. These YA stories are my guilty pleasure at my age and paired with a MC background I’m all in. Plus I love the bulling/hate romance theme in the story. This is different from the usual from this author but it’s no less compelling and she gives us fantastic characters to cheer for. We get glimpses of some of our favorites from the previous MC stories along with this new generation. Terrific writing and awesome characters along with an enthralling storyline makes this a must read. Can’t wait to dig into the next installment. Loved it! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
