A billion-dollar fashion empire, and it’s about to be mine… matter. I’ve played this game for a decade. I can continue the charade a little longer, keep my hands to myself and her body out of my mind. I can keep my secret until the ink dries and everything is mine.
Or not.

I love Alessandra Torre. I one click everything she writes. With every author/reader dynamic some (most) will be 5 stars and others you just won’t connect with as strongly. This book is GOOD! It just wasn’t my Torre favorite.
very creative, great characters and great chemistry
Avery has a risky job laundering money. It’s not what she set out to do but what she sort of fell into. But now she’s got it down pat and she makes her money drops like the professional she is. In her funky clothes and with a snarky attitude you would never know that she feels disconnected and lost. The only clue to what she’s looking for is found behind her car’s visor and when she’s not even looking it is suddenly dropped into her lap.
Marco has lived a lie for the last decade. The payoff is close at hand but the truth of the matter is the life he’s been living has cost him not only his reputation, but his self-respect as well. What seemed to be a solid plan to move forward has suddenly taken a nose dive when a smart mouthed, sexy girl leaps in front of his car and is hit. Now he’s facing a string of decisions that will either reveal the farce of his existence, as well as that of someone he loved dearly, or lose the one person he’s finding it hard to stay away from.
I really enjoyed this story. With Avery and Marco’s banter and chemistry this book moved at warp speed and I couldn’t read the first half of it fast enough. It slowed a bit afterwards and I was a little disappointed that some of the storylines it had the potential to follow didn’t pan out. However, I was still enthralled with the relationship between these two and curious to see how they would address the elephant in the room, so to speak.
The epilogue was exceptional and erased any lingering trace of disappointment I might have had. I was thrilled with the way this author wrapped this story up, checking all my boxes for the perfect ending. Definitely a read you will want to try if you’re looking for a bit of lovers to enemies to lovers trope that doesn’t go too heavy on the enemy part. Angst was relatively light and the connection between this couple was enough to steam my Kindle.
This is an honest review of an advanced copy provided by NetGalley.

In a uniquely fashion Alessandra Torre has written another enthralling story that will capture your undivided attention once you started reading Hidden Seams. That what it did to me, I cannot put it down, and I forgo sleep because I need to know how it will end and it’s worth it. One of my fastest read, that’s how unputdownable it was!
What I also enjoyed was the deliciously sexy character named Marco and frisky, strong, heroine Avery. Although, Marco was an ass in some scene but still lovable and you’ll discover why he’s like that as you read along. Avery is a street smart kind of woman in search of someone who will give her a peace of mind once she knows the truth. These characters are well developed and the pacing of each scene is just right.
Once again Alessandra Torre didn’t disappoint in delivering another great story. If you haven’t pick-up a book by this author, I highly recommend this standalone erotic romance. Happy reading!
5 Oh What A Tangled Web We Weave Stars!!!
What an amazingly spellbinding read that Ms. Torre has given us in Hidden Seams. I thought I knew what I was getting when I read the synopsis and with the teases she would reveal, but it’s so much more than a book about two people that you wouldn’t think would find love with each other.
Marco is a man that has a very complex history with how his life changed one day ten years ago and what he thought he was getting into turned into so much more. I think he was even surprised by how much his expectations were surpassed and what kind of life he was now living.
Enter into the story a beautiful woman named Avery who is unlike any female character I’ve read. She’s wicked smart, strong, independent and has a business acumen that has made her very comfortable financially…now there may be some issues with the legalities of what she’s doing….
One day, their lives intersect and in the most unexpected ways because it appears Avery may have a link to the man that has given Marco the life he’s living. Adding onto that there’s an attraction that is literally palpable. And oh my goodness they are so hot and dirty together I literally had to turn my ceiling fan on to cool myself off and it’s in 30’s where I live!!!
I was completely mesmerized by this story and the way it unfolded. Ms. Torre has written with her amazing eye to detail. She develops the scenes down to the granular level allowing her readers to be completely in each scene feeling the emotions and actions of her characters. Avery and Marco have so many facets to them it was so fascinating to watch them grow into people that can find and deserve a forever love. If you’re looking for a book that will captivate you from beginning to end then Hidden Seams is your next MUST READ book!!!
WOW!
You want a to read a story that will have you gripping your Kindle in anticipation to what will happen next and guessing that what you think will happen is not what at all happens?
This is the book for you!
I loved it!
Captivating, sexy, gripping, had me swiping each page as though I could not swipe it fast enough to find out what was going to happen between Marco and Avery.
Their story is told in dual Point of Views which left me fully satisfied of being in the mind of both characters and feeling their emotions and actions come to life off the pages.
Author Alessandra Torre does it again with giving us a healthy dose of mystery, love, sexiness and a her twisted signature style of the delightfully unexpected.
When I started reading Hidden Seams, I though I had an idea of what the story line was going to be like just by the blurb. I had it all wrong! In the first three chapters, I was asking myself what the heck is going on. I was already on a tailspin of thoughts that were racing through my head. I was unsure I could keep up. I loved that Alessandra did that to me as a reader. I kept grasping for more.
Vince’s and Marco’s relationship was a surprise when the truth came out. I again thought that I had it all figured out until a twist of the story showed up named Avery. The whats and the who’s rushed into my head. The intensity of the characters chemistry blew me away. I was sad and happy. I cried and laughed. The emotions were an all time high! If you have read Alessandra’s books before you know what I mean.
I loved each page and was glued to the book. Hidden Seams is a perfect title for the story. You get the strong and the weak. In the end, you get it all!
One of the things I appreciate the most about Alessandra Torre is that she never tells the same story twice, even when she writes a series. She finds different angles and perspectives, and she makes you feel as if you’re reading something you haven’t read before.
In the case of Hidden Seams, Marco comes to you as a character who feels brand new, which is fitting considering he’s staring down a brand new life for himself. Having perpetuated a lie for a decade, he’s now free, and he has to figure out what that freedom means. As if he isn’t confused enough, here comes Avery, a money launderer from Detroit who threatens, however obliquely and unaware, to blow up everything Marco has.
I’ve seen this book described as an enemies-to-lovers, but I wouldn’t call it that. Marco and Avery don’t have time to decide whether they’re enemies or not before they become lovers, and even when Marco acts like a ginormous anal pore, it’s still clear that he and Avery are more on each other’s side than either perhaps would like to admit. Watching their relationship take hold is equal parts hilarious, poignant, and arousing.
Oh, yes, AROUSING. This is an Alessandra Torre romance, after all, so rest assured that your thighs will get quite the workout from you squeezing them together. Marco is, in a word, DELICIOUS.
One thing I’d like to particularly applaud in this book is how Torre approaches Avery’s adoption. As an adoptee, I felt like I was reading my own thoughts and feelings as Torre described what Avery was going through. That’s either demonstration of thorough research or evidence of an astute observer. Either way, kudos to Torre for that.
Back to Marco. Did I mention that he’s delicious? Oh, he is. And he’s witty. He made me laugh out loud on more than one occasion. He’s also so swoony that you will find yourself trying to will him into being a real person.
I received a copy of this book from the author.
Marco Lent has been denying his true self for a decade. How do you come back from that? Has to be pretty delicate and difficult situation. There’s an image to uphold. A signed contract. A vision. Nothing prepared him for when Avery walked in front of his car.
As their acquaintance builds so does a relationship. Both have secrets they’re not ready to divulge and of course could cause some issues. Doesn’t stop them from hopping in the sack though! Of course Alessandra doesn’t hold back on her sex scenes. Steamy, steamy.
I had higher hopes for this story. I love Alessandra’s books. They’re some of my favorites. I don’t mind this story line at all. I think I had a hard time connecting to these characters as a whole. I didn’t warm up to them. Couldn’t tell you why exactly. They just didn’t do it for me.
