Can love thrive while hidden in secret?Magic is everywhere and even more so during Christmas. Kat could never have imagined that despite being a fugitive, a freak of nature, and telepath, love would appear in the form of werelynx Brant. Hope flared for the future but darkness was just biding its time… support of a pack, and only his friends at the Sanctuary, what could he offer her? Resigned to worshiping her in secret, and defying the High Council, he soon discovers that others want Kat, maybe as desperately as he does, only for very different, evil reasons.
When she is kidnapped before his eyes, Brant realizes that Kat is much more than a lover; she’s his mate. Fighting to rescue her and bring her back safe and sound, unexpected obstacles and truths come between them, threatening to rob him of the other half of his soul forever.
Only by having the courage to unearth their many demons and slay their doubts will they have a chance at surviving and bonding for eternity.

I’m not sure if this is my favorite of the series because; it is a full bodied novella that I was able to read from beginning to end in a short amount of time – or because we get to see what makes two characters click – or because we get to visit with previous characters. Well it doesn’t matter why, as long as we know it is.
This book moves at a great pace with abbreviated details which I very much appreciated. Even though this is part of a series, I truly believe that it can be read as a stand-alone as long as you know that it is about shape shifters and magic and witches.
I absolutely recommend this story, this series and this author.
Hidden Magic: A Sanctuary Chronicles Novella
By: India Kells
5 out of 5 stars
The story Hidden Magic: A Sanctuary Chronicles Novella by India Kells is a paranormal romance book. It is a story that drew me in from the very beginning and I found myself not wanting to put it down until I had read the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Kat and Brant. Kat is a woman who is intelligent and independent. She also is a fugitive and a telepath. She has found someone that she cares deeply about, Brant. Brant is a werelynx without the support of a pack. He has his doubts as to being good enough for Kat. Her being kidnapped has made him understand that she is his mate. What does the future hold for Kat and Brant? Will Kat be rescued? Will they find themselves bonded together? Read this book to find out. I grew to care about Kat and Brant with each chapter that I read. I love how protective Brant is of Kat and how he wants to keep her safe. There are other additional characters that you read about. Many of them are familiar as they have been brought forward from the other books in the series. They are all like family and it is wonderful that they are protective and supportive of each other. This is a story that is hard to put down and at times has emotional moments. It is a book that I would highly recommend reading.
This is the story of Kat and Brant, an unlikely pair as they both have a hidden past and a secret relationship.
Brant is waiting to get his day’s sentinel assignment from Ian, but he can sense that something is wrong, but can’t figure out quite what it is and it is distracting him from his duties, so much so, that Ian gives him the day off so that he can go sort whatever it is out, but he has a feeling that it is to do with Kat and heads over to see her.
Meanwhile, as Kat is baking the last few batches of sugar cookie orders at the bakery, ready for the christmas orders to be collected, a pair of men from her past appear on her doorstep, they are someone she would rather forget and as Brant bursts through the door, she is taken away in front of his eyes with the men in question shooting him in the process.
The race is on to find Kat, as Brant becomes more and more agitated with the situation and Hunter is drafted in to help, but whether they can bring Kat back and keep her safe is another story, will her past become too much, or will she conquer her demons?
Hidden Magic: A Sanctuary Chronicles Novella by India Kells is a fast paced short read but just because it is a short story does not mean it is not packed with action and magic and of course romance. This engaging read, holds you spell bound as it evokes so many emotions and feelings. This novella is part of the Sanctuary Chronicles series, which I have enjoyed, but this could be read as stand-alone. It was good to catch up on old friends and I must say I fell in love with the main characters in this story as much as I have the others.
Brant knows it’s forbidden but he just can’t stay away, there is just something about her that calls to him. When he senses trouble, his worst fear is realised.
Kat has been hiding for years but now the evil has found her but it’s too late for her to do anything.
A must read.
Hidden Magic: A Sanctuary Chronicles Novella by India Kells is a short but good read. If you have not read the rest of the series this can be read as a standalone story. Kat and Brant are the main characters and I enjoyed reading about them. The two come from different worlds but can they survive in each other and keep their love intact? I will not give anything away so make sure you read this book. This reads quickly and has paranormal, romance, and a good story. I look forward to reading more in this series soon.
I give Hidden Magic: A Sanctuary Chronicles Novella by India Kells, 4 stars.
Brant is a werelynx who knows the feeling of being alone. Sure, he has made himself useful at Sanctuary, but he has not found peace yet. That is, until he meets telepath Kat. She is just what he needs, but they are not supposed to be together. When Kat’s past comes back to haunt her, he realizes just how much he feels about her. He will do anything to get her back. But can he get to her in time? If so, can they make a relationship work?
This a great book and I really enjoyed the main characters. Kat and Brant are very interesting and complex characters. Plus some of the characters from previous books make an appearance to make this even better. Not to mention, the supense starts right away and will not let go. I finished this book in one setting, I could not put it down!
If you like paranormal romance with great characters and an interesting storyline, this book is for you.
Hidden Magic is a novella of the Sanctuary Chronicles series. You can read this without reading the other books, but if you want to get a better feel for the other characters outside of Brant and Kat, I recommend reading the others in the series.
Hidden Magic is a quick read, but it is written in such a way that it feels like a full-length novel. The characters are relatable and the story moves along and a good pace. I liked the way the depth of Brant’s true feelings for Kat just kind of snuck up on him. Unfortunately, it took a tragic event for him to realize just how he felt, but that just made him more determined to make things right.
This is great side story to the series and I enjoyed the read.
Hidden Magic: A Sanctuary Chronicles Novella by India Kells was a fast past, engaging read, that had me hooked.
This quick short read is packed full of action, romance, emotions, growth and of course, magic. It hooked me right away, and I dove right into this little wonder. As this is a side story to the main series, it can be read as a standalone. So don’t worry about spoilers or feeling lost. As someone who follows this series, it brought me new characters to grow and love, and old ones I have missed. It was a good combo and made me remember why I love this series so much.
Overall this story is fresh, original, and rich with clean creative detail, that just gets your mine racing. I loved the romance aspect, as well as the personal growth both MC’s go through. Again though, our male MC, was a little to over protective for me, and it’s something I have picked up on in this series, but in regards to the others, Brant isn’t as bad. Kat is a fun, strong character that you can’t help but fall for. You get swept up in her magic, and as much as you want to help you can’t. There are some good feels kickers in here, so be warned.
On that note, as this is a short read, and not to risk spoilers, I’m going to leave you with my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval.
Happy Reading

Hidden Magic by India Kells a five-star read that you won’t want to hide form. This is a novella in the Sanctuary Chronicles series, this could be read as stand-alone but the whole series is worth reading. Be warned you will not want to put this down once you start it, so don’t plan on reading a few pages before bed as you will not be sleeping in half and hour. You get gripped by this story from the first page, the characters will suck you in Kat and Brant will surprise you with how quickly you care for them, how quickly your stomach is dropping and sinking with anxiety when things go wrong. I’m not going to spoil the story, as it’s so worth reading.

Hidden Magic: A Sanctuary Chronicles Novella by India Kells
Hidden Magic: A Sanctuary Chronicles Novella is a wonderfully written paranormal romance that I absolutely loved. There was no putting it down until I finished even then I wanted more. India Kells is one of my favorite authors. Brant and Kat are two characters I loved reading about She is a fugitive and a telepath. She has finally found someone whom she cares for deeply. He is a werelynx and doesn’t have the support of a pack. Brant doesn’t think he is good enough for Kat. What happens after she’s been kidnapped? Will she be rescued? Will these two be bonded together? Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. As always I can’t wait to read more from this Author.
I love the pace of this book. You get immediate tension and the feeling something is wrong from Brant. He feels that deep down in your gut, imminent doom type of wrong and of course it’s somehow involving the love of his life, Kat. She’s just making cookies, not bothering anyone and WHAM- two total creeps show up after the shop has closed (which really made me hate them on a personal level, having worked in retail for a significant period of time). Kat is a telepath who doesn’t need any special gifts to know that these scrubs from her past aren’t just going to say hi and bye. They are more of the mind to shoot Brant in the chest and leave with Kat. Too bad it takes more than that to kill a werelynx.
India Kells is so wonderful with her descriptions and after reading two other books from this series, I was excited to read this novella-but I wish it had been longer.
If you’re new to paranormal romance or India Kells, this would be a decent place to start since it’s only a novella but it’s not the first in the series.
Hidden Magic by India Kells is a Sanctuary Chronicles novel. This is a short book and a quick read but it is just as good as all her work usually is.
This book is a great paranormal romance book. Although it is short it never at any point felt rushed or like something was missing. The characters were well developed and interesting to read about. I really thought that Brant and Kat had a great chemistry.
The story itself was well paced and well developed. Although it was short the author covered everything to make it a great story. It had depth, it had action, it had romance. I honestly felt like I was reading a full length novel and was disappointed when I got to the end because I could have easily kept on reading.
If you haven’t discovered this author yet then I urge you to pick up this book!
Normally I am not one to pick up a book with other worldly people written into the scenario, I tend to have a difficult time with sci-fi books keeping my interest, however with any India Kells novel I will devour it without question. Hidden Magic wasn’t any different for me. I absolutely adore how India makes one feel as if this normally outlandish idea of were/shifters co-mingling among us is completely plausible and fascinating. Every single one of the Sanctuary Chronicles has been wonderful and this little gem is the perfect novella addition. I don’t believe you have to read the others persay to enjoy this one as well, which is nice for those that enjoy standalones. I do highly recommend you read all the available ones however if you enjoy Hidden Magic.
In Hidden Magic we get the tale of Kat and Brant and holy hades this is a fabulous little romance that buds between these pages. I love the detail of not only the scenes in which these characters interact, but also of them as well. I felt as if I finished this novel fully knowing Kat and Brant as realistic beings I know, just like a friend. I absolutely can’t wait to see what else will come from the brilliant India Kells!
A great read about love. Brant is a were-lynx who is madly in love with Kat, a telepath. When she is captured by two strange men, his world is turned upside down. Desperate to find her and keep her safe, he enlists the help of his friends at the Sanctuary. On the search, he realises how much he loves her and that he will do anything to save her. But when events unfold and she is found broken, will his love be enough?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Brant as strong and silent but also caring and protective underneath or Kat bubbly but struggling with anxiety underneath. Great cast of supporting characters like the kind and caring Sera or the determined Hunter.
I loved the visual detail throughout the novella like with the cabin with its hearth fire and comforter and flowers for a sense of comfort and familiarity, a safe haven away from it all. Or the forest in the snow with its hidden wonders beautifully written. Or with the decorations in the cabin with the fairy lights and the tree for a sense of magic and wonder in bright colours with the red and green wonderfully written. Or the use of sounds and smells throughout, so vivid it’s as if you’ re actually there.
A great example of world building with a series of fantasy creatures coexisting in our world alongside humans with their own rules and laws and societies. I also loved the inclusion of different fantasy creatures in the novella such as the were-lynx and the telepath adding something fresh and exciting to the fantasy genre and given the respect they deserve and true to their origins in the case of the telepath.
The mix of fantasy of shifters and magic and the realism of police and crime scenes made for a compelling read and was combined to perfection. I also liked the use of suspense as details are revealed slowly about the captors and the past, making you want to read on to find why they took Kat. Fast paced action and high stakes make for a captivating read. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

Hidden Magic: A Sanctuary Chronicles Novella by India Kells is a must read! This was truly a fantastic paranormal read that I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish.
This novella was detailed, action-packed, shocking, intense and beyond addicting. This storyline ended way too fast for my liking as I could have read about Brant and Kat for hours.
I would absolutely recommend anything from India Kells as she never ceases to amaze me! I can’t wait to read more from this talented author in the future!

Every time I pick up a book by this author I am always hooked by what I am reading. Hidden Magic may have been a novella but it was packed full with a wonderful storyline and equally as wonderful characters. I am completely in love with Kat and Brant’s story, it is just so beautifully written. Brant’s determination just showed how much Kat means to him and I was rooting for them the whole way through. I honestly thought that they were so perfect for each other.
The whole story is just so beautifully and richly detailed that at times it is so easy to imagine what I am reading.
I cannot recommend this book enough and I am so excited to read more for Ms Kells again in the future!
Hidden Magic by India Kells is a paranormal romance. She has created a magical world with characters that come to life. Her vivid descriptions made me lose myself within the pages of her book. In a world of vampires, Brant does not make the choice of turning Kat into his world. There needs to be support because of the evil around every corner. He cherished her from afar until he sees that there are others that want her as well. Then the unthinkable happens and she is kidnapped. Will Brant find her? Will she be lost forever? Keep your eyes peeled to find out if Brant will be with Kat his soul mate.
Please do yourself a favor. If it lists India Kells as the author, just assume it will be amazing (because it will be) and add it to your reading list pronto. This book absolutely lives up to Kells’ reputation. Masterful storytelling with vivid/rich characters. Just couldn’t put the story down. I loved every single page and I know you will too.

Hidden Magic is part of the Sanctuary Chronicles Collection. It is an exciting and magical novel focusing on a shifter romance. Brant feels that Kat is his mate and they are in love. She is a telepath and their love is against the rules of the High Council. When tragedy strikes and Kat is kidnapped, Brant almost loses it. With the help of his human cop friend Hunter, they locate and save her. They save her physically anyway. I was torn with her state of mind when they rescued her. I loved how Brant dug deep down to open up and care for her to attempt to bring her back to reality following. This novel was beautiful and I really enjoyed it. I loved that the author immediately pulls you in to the action. It was fast paced and I was able to read this in one sitting. I highly recommend this book and I look forward to reading the other books in this collection.
Hidden Magic: A Sanctuary Chronicles Novella by India Kells is a paranormal romance story that fits in perfectly within this series. I enjoyed how the author just dove in head first with this particularly story bringing forth a series of events that were energetic, high intensity but intimate and well written. Kat and Brant were magically intertwined here in the most amazing ways that created a powerful and entertaining story. Each piece that India Kells adds into this series is remarkably done and in tune with each of the individual characters and the overall theme of the series.
