You can take the detective out of the investigation, but you can’t take the investigator out of the detective.A notorious gang puts a bounty on Detective Cady Matthews’s head after she takes down their leader, leaving her no choice but to hide until she can testify at trial. But her temporary home across the country on a remote North Carolina island isn’t as peaceful as she initially thinks. … thinks.
Living under the new identity of Cassidy Livingston, she struggles to keep her investigative skills tucked away, especially after a body washes ashore. When local police bungle the murder investigation, she can’t resist stepping in. But Cassidy is supposed to be keeping a low profile. One wrong move could lead to both her discovery and her demise.
Can she bring justice to the island . . . or will the hidden currents surrounding her pull her under for good?

I had no idea it was a cliffhanger! Now I have to read the next one! Twist my arm. This was a great read! Cassidy is trying “so hard” to lay low and just be an easy going beach girl, but it’s not working so well for her. And Ty, yeah, he’s a Navy SEAL who couldn’t lay low even if he wanted to. Their camaraderie is adorable and comical at times. That Cassidy gets so flustered around Ty is endearing. I can’t wait to read the next book. I highly recommend this one!
Great read!
Great mystery!
This book had lots of suspense to keep me turning the pages.
Hidden Currents kept me engaged through the entire book. I would finish one chapter thinking I would lay it down for the night only to read several more chapter before I would finally be forced to put it down! It was suspenseful, captivating, inspiring with just enough romance. 1 highly recommend this book to any avid reader of Christian fiction.
i loved the characters in the story. It was well written and kept me reading. It was difficult to stop reading.
Enjoyed it very much
Christy Barritt will keep you turning the pages. I received the first book in the series as a freebie. When I finished it I ordered the next one and before I knew it I bought all 6 books in the series and loved each one. I read all six books in less than 7 days. There is suspense, murder, gang related drug trafficking, humor- an ice cream that seems to have a mind of its own when it comes to playing music – even when its not turned on. You can read each book in the series as a stand alone but each one will not complete the whole story. Each one is better than the last and has a teaser at the end. There is human trafficking, romance, a lighthouse that plays a part in almost all the books. Some of the characters are just that – characters to love, laugh at, some that will make you wonder which side of the law they are really on. My kindle went everywhere with me while I was reading this series.
No one asked me to read, review or say anything about these books. All opinions are my own and all I can say is that I was sorry to see the series to come to an end. I normally don’t like series that go more than 3-4 books. I highly recommend the Lantern Beach series. WARNING!! You might lose some sleep or let a few errands go. I did.
Enjoyable
I was looking for an easy read that I could relax with. This book was the one for me! But I found I couldn’t put it down! The first 2 have been really good, will have to see how the next 4 do in this series.
Enjoyed!
I’ve read the entire series starting with Flood Watch. Although, they can be read out of order, they are better in order. I would encourage you to read Flood Watch first so you understand the main character’s story. I was disappointed when I finished the first book because the book mystery was solved but the series mystery was not. The series mystery isn’t solved until the last book, Dangerous Waters. I liked each book and would encourage anyone to read them.
Excellent!
I read the entire series, really enjoyed all of them. Hard to put down.
This is part of a riveting six-story mystery series that never slows down or gets boring.
I love this author. I finished this book and am now reading the second in the series.
This book was too unrealistic to get really involved in.
I loved Hidden! At times, it was hard to put the book down because I wanted to know what was going to happen next! Try a page-turner.
Book well written with believable characters. However, I do not care for books that leave you hanging! Stand alone books much better.
Great mystery series!
