A fun romp through a high school and beach town that is filled with secrets!
4.5 stars for Hidden Creek Secrets by Jaxson Kidman. This is book 1 in The Hidden Creek High Series. Aria has recently returned to Hidden Creek after fire took her home and almost her life. When she returns one of the first people, she sees is Weslee. Her and Weslee used to be inseparable. They were best friends before Aria’s parents made money and moved her away. Now she is back and Weslee doesn’t want to let her go. HE loved her then and he loves her now. Wes is the bad boy, and everyone warns her to stay away from him. However, what is a bully romance with out some bullying. Everything in Hidden is not as it seems, and everyone has secrets. “And with a town named Hidden, there was one rule you had to understand….. Everyone has a secret.” I loved this book and can’t wait to dive into the next one. Be warned it does in a cliffy so don’t start it if you don’t have time to move on to book two.

I generally love this authors books, he writes with a raw, passionate honesty. However I have to be honest and write my review based on what was delivered. I’m left feeling a bit empty after reading his venture into the YA genre. I felt it was forced and didn’t come naturally. It didn’t flow easily and the language wasn’t what I expect from a youth’s mouth. The storyline wasn’t plausible and didn’t hit the same heights I’ve come to expect from him. I will read further into the series to see if I’m jumping the gun too early. I’m a firm believer in stepping outside of your comfort zone but it is also a good thing to know your strengths.
There were many secrets, which haven’t yet been revealed, with two groups of youth. The haves and have nots at least on the surface it would seem that way. However you can’t always believe what you see because appearances can be deceiving. This beachside haven is full of drama and has a line drawn in the sand.

Once I read the blurb for this book I was hooked. This is my first read from the author and I finished it within 24 hours!! Aria is a strong and brave girl who has been through some serious hardships but has no choice but to keep moving forward. Wes…bad boy check. Holy hotness, check. Again, I was automatically intrigued by him from the blurb.
In a beach town full of secrets and who’s side do you align yourself with? What happens when everything is finally reviled? Can’t wait to find out. Already downloaded book 2 and I’m about to drive in!!!

I loved this book by Jaxson, this book keeps you on the edge of your seat while reading and you won’t want to put it down. This is going to be another great series, his books are amazing and I cant wait to read more!! I really loved Wes and Aira’s Story- this town of secrets will have you hooked!!!
HIDDEN CREEK SECRETS (Hidden Creek High Book #1) By Jaxson Kidman
Jaxson Kidman is a master of his game. All his work that I have read has been exceptionally good, but in this one he has upped the ante. This is the best YA book I have read. This is the story of Aria and Weslee. She moves back to her old town after her home burnt down. Aria finds that Hidden Creek is not the same place as it was when she left. She finds out right off that the people are different as well. She left when she was 11 and returned about 6 years later. The bitch cliques are fully in place and she runs into that on her 1st day. The only thing similar is the attraction between Aria and Weslee.
This story really took me back to high school. The description that Jaxson gives us as he puts us into this world is so complete, you can almost smell the floor polish. This well written story has angst, suspense, intrigue, lots of secrets, great characters, even the secondary characters are awesome, witty banter, and a CLIFFHANGER….!!! Jaxson has created a world that I can not wait to get back to, thankfully it is only a two week wait! Congrats Jaxson on a job very well done! I wish it was possible to give this more than 5 stars.
Wow Wes & Aira love them, all the secrets in Hidden I can’t wait to find out what happens. Who burnt Aira’s house down with her in it. What did Wes do? I want more about Jett & Julia.
Am a sucker for love stories. Especially ones where young love are rip apart but down the line they find each other again.
Hidden Creek High is surely full of secrets and I cannot wait for Jaxson to reveal them.

I knew this was going to be amazing, but I honestly didn’t anticipate how amazing! It was exciting, refreshing and with such an engaging storyline I was sucked into the pages and didn’t want to stop reading! Jaxson, as always, has made the characters so loveable, hateable, intolerable and some?……well, I just want to squeeze their face cheeks . I thought I had predicted the ending, but hey, what do I know? Nope, I didn’t see that cliffhanger coming. Book 2 can’t come soon enough!
WOW! This book is amazing. The start of the story of Wes and Aira had me sitting on the edge of my seat while reading. It is so real, you feel that you are back in high school, right along side them. A solid 5+ star read. Can’t wait to read the next book.
WHOA! Don’t let the fact that Wes and Aira are in high school. Their lives are bigger than high school, and the secondary characters are so fabulous that you can’t help but be sucked into their pasts, drama. guilt, danger and the love they can’t deny!!!! It’s small town drama and intrigue at its best and I absolutely LOVED it!! I can’t wait for the next installment!!
I was really skeptical about this book and I was quite nervous about reading it, as I DO NOT read YA books. At all. However, I love Jaxson’s writing and I gave it a go. I can’t even describe how much I enjoyed Aira and Wes and the rest of the characters we meet in Hidden Creek. Jaxson took everything that I didn’t like about YA and threw it out the window! I was so consumed by this story and could not keep turning the pages. I can’t wait to read what is in store for Wes and Aira.
Just when you think you’ve caught your breath after reading Jaxson’s books, he throws you another epic read that takes you for a while ride and back down memory lane. The mean girls, bad boys and all the drama, secrets, jealousy that comes with young love. Absoutely LOVED this book, and am waiting *patiently* for the second one! Wes and Aira are amazing together and I can’t wait to see where they end up in all the madness that comes with a small town like Hidden.
This is a series that ends in a cliff hanger which is not usually my thing but this author writes really fast and the second book will be out in a few weeks. So don’t let that scare you off from this amazing series. The characters are well written and not too juvenile. The story line is very adult so it’s a good mix. Give it a try you want regret it. And if you have never read anything by this author I guarantee you’ll be hooked.

Jaxson Kidman has just cranked it up not one but several notches with this book. I absolutely loved HCH. The place where everyone has secrets and an agenda of their own. The main characters swept me in from the very beginning. Wes and Aira are the most perfect angst ridden teens I have ever read. Their friends also, are awesome side characters and their antics had me laughing out loud in places frequently. The drama was top notch, Jaxson Kidman has teen repertoire and banter down to a fine art and of course I cried in a couple of places too. Every Jaxson Kidman book makes me cry – they really should come with a warning label. I’m really looking forward to reading more from Hidden Creek High. Congratulations on taking a new to you genre and owning it Jaxson. 5 stars so totally deserved.
A must read. A Brilliant story from Jaxson Kidman. Do not miss this series as it starts with the mystery right from the first page, and as the name of the Town suggests lots of hidden secrets. You will be wanting more, you will will be wanting to know all their secrtes. Why should Aira stay away from Wes, no-one will say…he is a BAD boy, but Aira likes bad boys, He has his secrets and so does she…..She grew up in Hidden only to return and every one is grown up and different….with lots of secrets…. the roller coaster of emotion, the love and hate you feel while reading is riveting….Jaxson has done it again…..you feel as if you are there walking the halls of #hch. Do yourself a favour and join the gang at Hidden Creek High.
