Enjoyable
It was ok just not quite twisted enough for me. Even though I am close to the same age as main character I did not relate to her. This would be a great book for those who like a real light read.
I loved reading this book because the character was so much fun. It was a very light mystery. Read it in two days. Very enjoyable.
I was pleasently surprised to find a 70 year old lead character so entertaining. I also did not figure out till the end who the murder was. It was a quick page turning read.
I really enjoyed this, I love the heroine! I want to read more.
Ihave read a lot of books by this author and i no I will enjoy reading more of her books.
Interesting twists in the plot
Maise, a retired coroner, is the nosey neighborhood sleuth. There are a string of murders, kidnappings and rapes. The characters just didnt have the strength needed for these topics.
Liked Maisie and enjoyed her mystery solving, easy read
Wanted to see how it ended
The lead character is a little crazy and does not stupid things. Did not really like it.
A quick and entertaining read!
I just kep reading
Lots of action in an elderly woman’s life. Too many deaths !
That old woman is a hoot! Loved it. Light reading.
Didn’t care for it.
Very good book, I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Enjoyed reading; true to life character in every neighborhood–know it all, bossy, inquisitive and doesn’t give up without the answers. Not sure that a police department in real life would allow a ‘civilian’ to question the potential perps–but since the son was the mayor–the story line worked.
Interesting story line, I personally could do without a 70 year old and 50’s somethings hooking up, but that’s just me. Otherwise, the story itself was very good.
This book is labeled as a cozy mystery but contains foul language and more violence than usual. Maisie is an interesting character, and at 70, is older than many other female sleuths.
