New Standalone from New York Times Bestselling Author, Kaylee RyanI’m over this year, and I’m over relationships. I’ve learned that the only person you can count on in life is yourself. Moving forward, I’m living for me. Working toward standing on my own two feet, that’s my goal. Funny how meeting him changed my path. It’s been years since I’ve been back in this small town of West Virginia for … town of West Virginia for more than a day or two. Spending time here brings back a lot of fond memories. When I stopped by an old friend’s bar, I was expecting to grab a drink and catch up. What I didn’t expect was her.
We share an undeniable attraction, but we continue to fight it.
Until one night in Vegas changes everything.

Another great book by Kaylee Ryan! Definitely one of my top favorite books of hers. I highly recommend this book. I instantly fell in love with Rhett and Saylor.
You know that elusive book hangover we all long for? Kaylee delivers that and so much more with Hey, Whiskey.
Hey, Whiskey consumed be from the very first chapter and it did not let me go until I finished the last page.
Saylor’s world has been tilted on its axis. With no where to go, no family to depend on, she ends up in a bar, Corner Pocket, going to drink her sorrows away. Molly and Jake are a blessing, offering her a job and a place to stay. Luck, was on her side for once in her life.
Rhett has come to West Virginia to help his grandfather run his distillery while he is ill. He is met with resistance from his grandfather. Their relationship has suffered over the years. He is determined to get the business and his relationship with him back on track. What he doesn’t expect is Saylor and the attraction he has for her.
The chemistry between Rhett and Saylor is intense. They have a pull like no other. Saylor resists him with all she has. Will she be able to keep him at bay? I love the banter between the two and their story left me with all the feels!! This is a definite MUST read and will be on my reread list. Top read of 2017(even though it doesn’t release until 2018).
Happy 2018 friends! I personally took the holiday season to just sit and be. It was nice to feel like I was starting to recharge after a crazy end of the year. This also meant I could catch up on some much wanted reading.
One of my favorites was Hey, Whiskey by Kaylee Ryan I’ve loved her writing ever since her Southern series & a few of her standalone works so I was extra excited when Whiskey was on my Kindle homepage.
It’s a love story at it’s heart but one that also shows family is what you make it and never to take it for granted, as time eventually will have it’s way. A reminder that, even when you feel like everything is falling apart, it could actually be the best thing that ever happened to you. With characters, both main and secondary, you fall for – along with laughs, spice, sass, slow burn and heart.
Hey, Whiskey by Kaylee Ryan comes out January 9th (next week) & is definitely one I think you’ll love getting lost in!
Holly Molly!!! Kaylee Ryan wrote an amazing story! Saylor is so darn relatable and such a likable character. I felt completely for Say. I feel like her life started once the situation with Pete was brought out. Sometimes what looks like this horrible life changing event turns out to be just what we need to truly start our life. Pete did her a solid!!
Now, Rhett, is the swooniest of guys!! I don’t know where Ryan gets her male material, but hot dog man, these guys prove that chivalry is alive and well. Rhett had a heart so full of love for Say. He put everything out there and was so honest. I think one of my favorite things about this book is the honesty between the main characters. They are so strait up, there’s no secrets, I just love that! Honesty is incredibly important and Ryan made Hey, Whiskey feel like it could be a true story!!
Keep these magical-swoonicorn men coming Ryan! Needless to say after my scattered banter, Ryan’s stories always seem to pull me in. I, personally, felt so close to this story since I have always felt alone. I have a large family but have always felt like an after-thought. Ryan has a real gift for creating characters that I want to befriend. She pulls me into the storyline without any problems and keeps the book paced perfectly to keep me staying up late and sneaking words in at work.
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I will leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
This book goes down like a smooth shot of whiskey….This is my first book by Kaylee Ryan, but she has just added another fan to her roster. Hey, Whiskey is the story of Rhett (Whiskey) and Saylor (Short Stack). Kaylee’s writing the alternating POV’s was amazing. I fell hard for Rhett’s inner dialogue with himself and his feeling for Saylor was the perfect combo of alpha and sweet. The self-doubt of Saylor and her backstory really hit me in the heart strings. The secondary characters were fun and very interactive. This story is a fast paced, sweet, naughty and has a beautiful ending. It’s all you could ask for in a contemporary romance! Well done Kaylee, you have made a new fan and I cannot wait to read more!
Kaylee, has done it again. I couldn’t put this book down!!
