A storm is brewing and so is a budding romance. I’ve been told I’m a force to be reckoned with. That I blow onto the scene like a tornado. I’ve stopped caring if that’s a compliment or a dig. Now I just wear it like a badge of honor. So when life threw me a curveball and I ended up going from a cushy job in New York City to the tiny Southern town of Grimm Cove, I thought I was ready for anything. Grimm Cove, I thought I was ready for anything.
Ha! Not quite.
You see, Grimm Cove is teeming with supernaturals. And since I’ve known they exist for a hot minute, I’m still in a state of total shock. When I learn that I come from a long line of witches and demon slayers, the stakes (pun intended) get even higher and sharper.
These monsters aren’t make-believe. They’re out for blood.
I’m trying to decide if having the alpha of the local wolf-shifter pack nipping at my heels is an asset in this fight, or if he’s one more person I need to watch my back around. I just wish he wasn’t so sexy and didn’t smell so good. He’d be a lot easier to resist. I have enough going on in my life as it is. I really do not have time for all this fated mate crap everyone keeps telling me about. My head and heart are at war and now isn’t the time for distractions, especially since it’s painfully clear that something evil wants me dead.

I freaking LOVE LOVE LOVE Mandy M. Roth’s PWF series! I was happy to hear she’s planning more books in it! <3
Mandy Roth is a force of nature, and so is her Grimm Cove series! Hexing with a Chance of Tornadoes is twisty terrific. This book is a great addition to the Paranormal Women’s Fiction genre!
HOOKED! This is the second Grimm Cove book and it did not disappoint! I did not put it down and stayed up way to late reading it. More coffee please.. I loved the sparks that were flying between Dana and Jeffery in book one and wow did it really heat up in book 2. Laughter, danger, heat, a grandmother talking about stuffing the cannoli…do not drink while reading. You have been warned.
Dana is a smart, sassy, and very strong willed woman. She is a lawyer, finds out she is part slayer, trying to come to terms with the fact that the supernatural is real, and fight her attraction to Jeffery who is the Alpha of the local werewolf pack. That is a handful. Jeffery will do anything to get Dana to go out with him, and yup just like most stubborn alpha males, he doesn’t realize she is his mate. Nope, can’t slap him.
I really cannot wait for book 3!
Who says life is all downhill after forty? They sure haven’t met Dana. When Jeffery, pack alpha and more, meets her he is in for it. Oh, not as much as he’d like. He’s given up on finding his mate and has plenty of non-committed hookups. He’s amazed at his feeling for Dana and that she keeps turning him down. No woman turns him down.
The relationships with the living-in ghosts, her witchy friends, their relations with special abilities, and finding out more and more about her own abilities make for a fun, action-packed read full of surprises, steam, and some literary fun as well. The spunk and strength of the women in the story and their sassy comments keep the reader laughing out loud. Let’s just say these alpha males are not prepared for the women they want. When things get scary don’t expect them to hide behind the guys.
Be prepared for some fun and a real page-turner.
This is the second book in a really fun series.
I love this book and the characters in it. Marcy was funny especially in the woods when she kept trying to touch the ghouls and asked to keep part of them. I love how strong Dana was and how Jeffrey kept putting his foot in his mouth. Nonna was hilarious.
Power of three
Our girl Dana gets her entire life upended in just 48 hours and it’s a riot. Nonna is one badass 90 year old Italian grandmother and you don’t want her on your bad side. Grimm Cove doesn’t know what hit it when these guys hit town. Once again Mandy has worked her magic and with that ending book 3 should be a dozy.
What do you get when you cross a snarky goodness and a small town life and mix in paranormal craziness? You get Hexing with A chance if Tornadoes. Dana came to Grimms cove to support her bestie in her life
Changes but she got more then she bargained for. Crazy witches, werewolves vampires and now things from the darkness. She also
May have found her love. Jeffery is the alpha of the local pack and he wants to get a piece of the new girl he’s deemed legs. This story is filled with so much snark and witty banter it will make you giggle all the way through. But don’t let it full you because when things get supernatural Dana’s inner bad self comes out. Taking names and asking all the questions later. She may bit be ready for the answers though! A super fun installment of Grimms cove. A story about ladies a little older and all the fun crazy that comes with paranormal reads and midlife insanity! The voice of Allyson was perfections for Dana! The New York accent and attitude were perfect!!!
This is a phenomenal story! I loved it from start to finish, and it picks right up from the first. Thank you for a stellar story!
I loved the first book in this series and was looking forward to this book. Dana was so independent and snarky in that first book that I knew that her and Jeffrey were going to clash repeatedly in their own book. They did and it was fun watching their relationship grow. I enjoyed reading about Dana’s past and how she developed into the woman that she has become. I would have liked to see Dana and Jeffrey have more time together to actually get to know each other and for readers to get know them more as a couple. A fun read for an afternoon and I’ve got book three already at the top of my TBR mountain.
With an expected twist for Dana life in Grim Cove is so much more than she imaged. Moving to a town filled with super natural not only releases family secrets but will Dana find the love of her life too? Read the book to find out.
Entropy with a chance of entertainment
The laws of thermodynamics manifest themselves everywhere. The Third Law of Thermodynamics is “Entropy is ever-increasing.” For those who’ve forgotten, entropy its a measure of RANDOMNESS. The random characters, events, and conversations in this novel far exceed that of its predecessor. Mandy Roth is a good writer, so it’s INTERESTING entropy, but no matter how captivating the writing, it is still a collection of random tidbits. If you expect a story, don’t bother. There’s none here. If you want continuity with the first novel, it’s random. The best way to deal with entropy is to accept it and go with the flow. Reading Hexing with a Chance of Tornadoes will give you ample practice.
Oh goodness Grimm Cove South Carolina where supernaturals outnumber the humans. I love the characters created for this story the author really made them come to life! Nonna is awesome I want a grandma like her! Lol
This story is mostly about Dana Van Helsing. She moved from NY with 2 friends here and found out that there are other beings in the world besides humans out there. A whole side she wasn’t told about.
Then there is Jeffrey he is the Alpha of the Wolfpack and normally he can handle anything……..until she showed up . Lol Dana
A Van Helsing and a Wolf? Hmmm lol going to have to read to find out about this one lol.
Lots danger , craziness , twist and turns. Other characters are mixed into the story to from the first book. So you might want to start there. And I see that a few reviews feel the story ends to fast book 3 picks up where this one left off. I have read enough of this author s wonder work to know she builds off each book. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next one !
Voluntarily review a copy and I honestly loved it
I really liked Dana. She is a strong independent woman with a fierce respect and love for her grandmother. The story laid out Dana’s past pretty good and then her fast and undeniable attraction to Jeffrey. Things jumped pretty fast during the present. I think that is where the Tornado that is Dana and her life really come into play. Jeffrey was just a guy, all growly protective and what do I do now not to tick her off? I thought that the storyline was also setting up for the next book(s) with the characters and town issues. I enjoyed reading it and liked the pace of the story.
This is the second in the series for Grimm Cove, and it can be read as a stand alone without missing anything important. There is quite a bit of coverage from the first story, almost as if the stories were meant to occur at the same time or near the same time, and yet to different couples. So there is some overlapping. I think the stories will be best enjoyed with all of the characters and references if you read in order.
Dana never in her wildest dreams imagined her move to Grimm Cove would turn out the way it did. All the supernatural creatures she never knew existed. The danger they faced. The handsome Jeffrey she wants to ravish and can’t stop thinking about. Unfortunately that’s just the tip of the iceberg and life is going to be far from boring. She may just find herself with a happily ever after of her own!
I am not even sure where my review went. I was so excited about this book. Dana is the one that is strong and doesn’t want to believe super natural is real. Her world gets shook up in so many ways. I love how this book flowed. The story was so good I felt it was crammed together and we could have had another book of Dana. Heck a whole series Dana. I think Jeffrey is perfect for her. He is a strong, hardheaded Alpha wolf sifter. He is not going to let Dana go. They have a fight on their hands that I don’t think any of them was ready for. I can’t even the end. It was a what!! for sure. This is a book part of the PWF paranormal woman fiction. Strong over 4o woman kicking paranormal butt.
I am thoroughly enjoying The Grimm Cove Series and can wait for the next book!
OMG! I could not put this book down. Dana moved to Grimm Cove with her two best friends Poppy and Marcy. Little did she know of the supernaturals and magic in the town but she learned quickly. During the first fight with vampires and other supernaturals, the three women used their magic together but Dana still didn’t know her capabilities. She is attracted to the wolf shifter alpha Jeffrey and he wants her and thinks she might be his mate. Dana jogged right into a dark zone where she had to fight ghouls and an old vampire with some help of family she did not know about. She learns of her family history and mates with Jeffrey. Looking forward to Marcy’s story.
Dana, Poppy and Marcy met as suite mates their freshman year at Yale. According to the backstory in books one and two of this series, their bond is deeper
Easily read as a stand-alone, I am enjoying the strength of the connections between these strong women and their unexpected roots and relationships
A fun and deadly supernatural world with family that breaks all the rules!
First book in the series was good enough for me to try this one. But I didn’t really care for these main characters (male or female), the story line felt rushed to me in some places, then at the big fight at the end, there was lots of talking and ignoring the fight while it was supposedly going on. Interesting tease at the end though. I might look at the third book when it comes out if it’s on KU.
