Welcome to The Isle…
Lily Locke has never believed in witches and wizards, ghosts and magic, shifters and vampires—especially cute blonde vamps with blood-intolerance issues. A rising star at a hotshot marketing agency in Minneapolis, Minnesota, all Lily knows is that she’s a PowerPoint guru, an Excel ninja, and a coffee-maker extraordinaire. Not to mention she’s next in line for a huge … mention she’s next in line for a huge promotion.
All that changes when Lily’s assistant delivers a strange quiz to her, one titled A Magical Assessment for Normal Folks. With it comes the promise of a land she’s never known existed. A land where Lily not only discovers her biological family for the first time, but a place where she can make a difference, change lives, and step into the role she’s destined to fulfill.
But first, Lily must admit she’s a witch. Then, she has to acknowledge that the tall, dark, and mysterious man who offers his help is strictly focused on business…at least, for now. When a body turns up dead and the next target is Lily, she must trust her powers and accept the help of her newfound friends. Otherwise, she’ll never survive the trials of the magical island tucked far, far away in the frigid waters of Lake Superior.

Meet Lily Locke this is her story! And it’s a doozy!
An original book with fantastic characters, a swoon worthy Ranger X romantic interest (yes please!)
If you haven’t read this series before I envy you, getting to explore it all again from the start! Just make sure you don’t start this book at 7pm Sunday night! Don’t say i didn’t warn you when you can’t get up for work, or worse your still up having fallen in love and gone on to read the next one and the next one!
Lily is a hardworking young woman, determined to earn her deserved promotion in marketing. When things go sour she has a drink at the bar where she mixes drinks for fun and is surprised by 2 strange women claiming to be her aunts. They want her to come with them to The Isle, a magical place.
This book is about magic but most of all about family. Like in the Lacey Luzzi-series you can expect to get more facts and background with every new book, and I hope there will be many more. At first the pace was a bit slow because of the necessary storybuilding, but after a few chapters the story took off and I wished there had been more pages.
I really enjoyed this first in a new series. I liked the characters (Poppy and Zinnia!) and especially the hot Ranger X ;-)) – (2016)
Light happy reading pure entertainment.
This is the first in a series, which is a good series. The characters are likable and keep the stories going. Most of the action usually happens after the mid point and the author does a great job of wrapping everything up in the end. I’m looking forward to the sixth in the series.
I really enjoyed this book. Very light & entertaining – great for vacation reading. Plot is interesting enough to keep you reading with a few twists and turns, but characters are definitely the best part – wacky and mysterious. The magical island setting is neat. Overall, a fun read!
This is a cute paranormal mystery with a bit of romance. It’s about Lily who loses her job and finds out she’s a witch all in the same day. She ends up living on a magical island with her estranged family as the new Mixologist and the mystery begins.
I could not put this book down. I mean nothing was done. I got sucked right into the story. I can’t wait to move on to the next book. You will fall in love with everyone
