The first in a brand new paranormal romantic comedy series about four bandmates and their love lives by Supernatural Dating Agency author Andie M. Long.Vampire guitarist Noah is about to face the music… The Paranormals.
Witch Stacey has never forgotten Noah’s betrayal. Determined to charm the judges with her own band and win the recording contract, it will be the perfect revenge on her ex.
But as the competition heats up, so does the chemistry between them, until one of the show’s presenters going missing threatens everything.
With ghosts on the loose and bands who will stop at nothing to win, can Noah and Stacey survive the competition and claim each other’s hearts? Or are they doomed to be just another cliché of Hex, blood, rock and roll?
A standalone series, but better when books read in order.

This is book one of The Paranormals Series.
Hex Factor is the story of Noah & Stacey.
They used to be together in High school , then Noah left Stacey in pursuit of stardom.
Years later they both enter a nationwide band competition and the only thought on Stacey’s mind is revenge. Or is it?
Noah had his reasons to leave Stacey behind, but he still loves her. Could she ever forgive him?
Another great PNR series, great characters! A lot of laughter, as expected, if you read any of Andie’s books before!
The Setting is a fictional reality show and the bands competing for stardom.
We even meet Ebony! Yes, Ebony from The Supernatural Dating Agency series!
An absolute must read!!!!
Cannot wait to read the next instalment!
Great read. Couldn’t put it down. Characters are great and you can identify with them in most ways.
Can rivals make things work & keep their bandmates happy?
Noah is a vampire. He and his friends are in a band called The Para-Not-Normals, their clever little dig at the fact that the band members are all paranormals, not normals, although no one is supposed to know they are actually paranomal.
They’re entering a reality tv show, Britain’s Best New Band.
During their audition, Noah comes face to face with the last person he expected, his ex, Stacey, a witch.
Stacey and her fellow bandmates are all witches. Again, like Noah and his mates, that isn’t something they advertise to the normals.
She hates Noah with a passion after he basically ghosted her in high school when they were friends as well as a couple.
Both being in this competition puts them on each others radars again.
This book includes mystery since we have some mysterious disappearances and such that seem like they could be laid at Noah’s feet. Lays out some background for the other members of the band, since we will get to focus on each of them in their own book. And of course, we get to see Noah and Stacey start off as enemies, or rivals, and work their way to the HEA they deserve with each other.
Love the cozy mystery feel but the sexy paranormal romance predominance. It has humor, heart, steam, mystery, and more.
I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This is such a great start to a new series. Noah and Stacey were high school sweethearts. He left her to follow his music and make it big. There was another reason, but he didn’t tell her. Stacey is now a witch and the lead singer of her band. Now they are in competition against each other to win Britain’s Best New Band. Noah has never stopped loving Stacey and wants a second chance. Will she give in to her feelings and give Noah a second chance? I really enjoyed this story and all the characters that I met. I can’t wait to read their stories.
Welcome to a world where being different is AMAZING! Long delivers a wonderful story based in a world where our greatest fairy-tales come to life.
This is a second chance romance that follows two bands pushing to make it to the top, and chase their dreams. Stacey and Noah where High School sweethearts until they weren’t. He dropped her out of no where, and became Mr. Popular. Since parting ways lots of things have happened in their life that has led them to the place they always wanted to be……….. striving to be at the top in the music industry.
Along the way we meet their band mates, and get to witness their awesome chemistry. This book was a great change from the normal dark, intense, bully books I have been reading. I’m excited to see what happens in the next book.
This book is a very unique and entertaining, new paranormal romance with a second chance at love, characters that I absolutely adore and a plot that was brilliant.
The Hex Factor is the first book in the new paranormal series by Andie M. Long. She brings us a story that has a very entertaining musical talent competition where some bands have more than regular mortal members.
Noah is a vampire who is looking for fame. His band is competing against his ex-girlfriend Stacey’s band , who by the way are witches ( so tell me if this is not entertaining already?). The sensual tension between this two is hot and funny at the same time.
So besides being a battle being a battle of the bands , is also a battle to win lost love.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series!!!
I have had the pleasure of reading many of Andie M Long’s books and anyone who has knows what an utter dream it is to dive head first into one. For those of you that haven’t yet had the privilege you are in for a treat…
Hex Factor is the first in a brand new Paranormal series and after having read it, I can definitely tell it’s going to be an epic series of books to sink my teeth into…Eeek I cannot wait for the next one! If you hadn’t quite cottoned on by the title, Hex Factor is about a reality tv programme much like The X Factor but well with some differences. The Paranormals are a band with 3 very delicious men in it that audition. And like with anything nothing ever comes easily especially when one of the competing bands happens to have your ex girlfriend in it who hates your guts.
I love how it’s such an easy read, filled with a mixture of different elements that I always look forward to seeing within Andie’s creations. Those that have read The Paranormal Agency will know what i mean but although it holds the humour and complicated love there was just that little something extra in this one that i can’t quite put my finger on but 100% in a positive way.
I look forward to the release of the next one whereby hopefully we get to know more of the band members and maybe see them find their ultimate match.
Hex Factor is the first book and a fantastic start to The Paranormals Series. If you have ever read any of Andie M. Long’s books then you know you are getting something great to read. If you haven’t, what are you waiting for, you will not regret it. I loved that this book is about a singing contest with paranormals, former teenage sweethearts reunited and a mystery. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
I wasn’t sure how I was gonna feel about this book when I signed up to promote it, only because I don’t read paranormal all that often. However, this book was good and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Andie Long has a different writing style than I usually read and I liked the nice break of reading the same way words are expressed.
This story had some strong characters involved. They each had their own strength. I loved reading the story between Noah and Stacey. They are always drawn together and have been for years. Plus add in the commentary of their friends and its bound to be successful. I was shocked with some of the way things played out. These characters truly made me forget that they were paranormal but then they would mention about having abilities and I would be even more intrigued.
I really enjoyed this book. I would like to see more of this world. I will definitely be on the look out for more of these characters. I recommend this book to everyone.
A new paranormal series and it’s spooktacular. Hex Factor is full of excitement, twist n turns, secerts, drama and steamy moments. Noah finally gets his HEA. Looking forward to Zak’s book next.
Hex Factor is a quick, fun read about former teenage sweethearts that reconnect when they both participate in a music competition.
I think the music competition is a fun setting for this story. Between the shared history and battle for bragging rights, there’s just enough tension in this story to balance the lighthearted moments well. I really liked Noah and Stacey together, and I enjoyed the glimpses into the past that shaped their relationship. I only wish there had been more flashbacks and details.
There’s a great group of secondary characters I’m looking forward to seeing more of in this series. I’ll definitely be reading more of The Paranormals.
.5 stars
Hex Factor is such a fun, energetic story. It’s been a while since I’ve read a paranormal story from Andie Long, and I really enjoyed falling into this one. This is the first in a new series, so there are a few characters to meet, but the romance is between Noah and Stacey, so they do get the lion’s share of page time. It’s a second chance for the vampire and the witch, and they certainly have good chemistry even if they don’t want to admit it. We even get a bit of mystery along with our romance, so it’s a double win. The story is fast paced and engaging, the characters are interesting, and the dialogue is witty. I can’t wait to see what’s next for this world.
I loved this book! Stacey and Noah were high school sweethearts then out of the blue Noah stops talking to Stacey and won’t tell her anything. She goes her own way and finds herself a group of sisters and they are all witches. Noah finds his own group of paranormal friends but he never forgets about his one love Stacey. He leaves her when he is turned into a vampire and he wants to keep her safe. They meet again a few years later when they are both in a music competition and Noah is going to have to decide if he is willing to fight for the love he doesn’t think he deserves.
Stacey squeezed my arm with hers. “One day, Noah, we’ll show them. We’ll be the ones on top and they’ll have a house in Loserville. Together we are invincible.” She kissed my cheek. “Now come on, I might even let you feel my boobs.”
This is a great paranormal rockstar romance.
I have received a free copy of this book for an honest review.
What a fun new series by this author. It has paranormals, a singing contest, a mystery and some great tension between Noah and Stacey. I couldn’t put it down. It was fun, quirky, funny, sexy, and the mystery had me on edge but in a lighthearted way.
Fantastic start for this new series. I have a new group of friends to hang out with and I’m excited to experience all the stories for this wonderful crew of characters. Noah and Stacey start us off. They became friends in school when both were either overlooked or bullied and a love was born. But everything changed when Noah was turned into a vampire. Knowing being around Stacey was dangerous for her, he pushed her away and with it, all the dreams and plans they had made. Stacey is hurt but finds a new group of friends when she unlocks her inner witch. They find themselves reunited in a battle of the bands contest, each with their own band. Is this their second chance? Can Stacey forgive the hurt Noah inflicted? There is so much to love in this story and I had fun reading while I was kept guessing about the mysterious events. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
This is a new series by this author and it did not disappoint. We have a X-factor type reality show with a difference, the difference being three of the bands are made up of paranormal…….. What with Vamps, Witches, Wolves and a dead presenter turned nuisance ghost we wonder what can go wrong… A lot as it seems lol We even get to see a regular from Withernsea .. I loved this book and I couldn’t put it down. I loved the characters and the plot it all came together quite nicely. There are a couple of twist and with with the Authors quirky humour we have a book that is a win win. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
A fab start to a new PNR series.
Noah is in a band called the para not normals, and guess what they’re all different supernaturals! I have to admit Noah gets about a bit, well being a vamp, sex and blood go together. Trouble is his still sweet on Stacey, not that his bedroom antics show it!
Stacey is a woman scorned by her high school sweetheart but had no idea why.
Well these two meet up in an x-factor style show and all sorts of stuff happens, some dark, some light-hearted but it’s certainly an entertaining read. Looking forward to book 2.
4 stars
I loved the first book in the series. Can’t wait to read about the other band mates! This is a must read book.
Hex Factor by Andie M. Long is a paranormal romantic comedy that will be released on August 3, 2020.
This is the first book in the four book series The Paranormals that will revolve around four bandmates and their love lives. Each book can be read as a standalone. However, it will be more enjoyable if read in order due to characters being referenced from previous books.
I absolutely love Andie’s books! They always leave me with a smile on my face. I think this book may be my favorite book of hers so far. I really enjoyed getting multiple points of views throughout the story. It really helps bring a story to life. You can’t help but root for Stacy and Noah.
I cannot wait for the next book in the series Heavy Souls to be released on August 31, 2020 so I can get Zak and Erica’s story.
I would highly recommend this book if you love paranormal romances, romantic comedies, or Rockstar romances.
I have absolutely loved reading Hex Factor. If you have read Andie M. Long’s Supernatural Dating Agency Series then you will already know that she writes fabulous paranormal romance stories. Hex Factor is the first book in a brand new series and I cannot wait for the rest for the band’s stories to be released.
Noah is a vampire and a guitarist in his band The Paranormals, and I love the dynamics of the band because each member is a different ‘being’. It isn’t only some of the band members that are dissimilar in this story though, and I enjoyed how the author reveals each of her character’s capabilities.
I loved getting to know Noah. He made a huge mistake by putting his band before his ex-girlfriend Stacey and I totally understood the hurt and betrayal that she was feeling. I loved becoming acquainted with Stacey too. Their story is one that shouldn’t be missed!
I absolutely love that the author chose to write this story around auditions for the show ‘Britain’s Best New Band’, it was fun and it reminded me of how I enjoy spending my Saturday evenings in front of the TV. If you are in need of a book that you can pick up and simply enjoy, then Hex Factor is a perfect choice. I thoroughly enjoyed this story from start to finish and I award it 5 fabulous stars.
