A Hexy Mystery. You think you know the world of magical boarding schools? Not from a teacher’s perspective at a school for at-risk youth.Clarissa now understands how deeply her magic rules over her—and why she cannot trust herself or her magic. She would like nothing more than an easy year of teaching, sharing a dorm room with a roommate who isn’t a wicked witch, and for Fae to stop attacking her, … stop attacking her, but fate has other plans for her. . . .
The Raven Court and the Silver Court know what Clarissa is and understand she is the key to solving the Fae Fertility Paradox. They will stop at nothing to renew their numbers and enslave anyone who can bear their heirs.
With no one she can trust, friends keeping mysteries of their own from her, and no one to turn to, Clarissa has to hide her forbidden magic—as well as her student’s magic—a difficult task when Clarissa uncovers a plot to expose their secret powers.

This book is amazing! I love this series! Just when you think that the books can’t get any better they do. There is so much going on in this book. Many twist and turns, action, adventure, magic and romance. It is exciting and impossible to put down. I highly recommend this book and the whole series!

This episode has so much going on at the same time and I don’t want to give the plot away. Key words are listed above. Lots of intrigue, some breaking and entering in persuit of knowledge. As an adopted person, I can empathize with the main character, Clarissa’s quest to find her roots, if only to discover where her personal traits came from and the need to know what to watch out for in the future. She loves her adoptive mother and their relationship is close, as evidenced in previous instalments of this series.
Politics, alliances, pride, and the need for children to continue their race are also a common threads throughout this series. The Fae have not had babies and have been at war with each other for so long they have forgotten the emotional skills needed for healthy interactions. Life is both cheap and precious.
The world in which they live in is both harsh and beautiful along with bwing dull of other seeming paradoxes.
This series has great characters and believable world, action, suspense, romance from time to time but also other forms of love and hope to drive characters forward.
This has been voluntary feedback of a Prolific Works Epub title.
Great addition to the series can’t wait for the next book.
Received a free copy for a review. Like I said before this series is entertaining and interesting. This one contained a few suprises with sex dreams and scenes. Along with Clarissa we learn more about the other characters and about her mother.
I love this series! I never know what will happen when I start these books, but I am always immensely surprised and entertained! I’m in the same boat as Clarissa and never know who can be trusted. I recommend this book!
If you haven’t started with the earlier books, you’ve missed out on a lot of interesting, funny, and informative background to Book 10. You should start with Tardy Bells and Witches’ Spells: A Cozy Witch Mystery (Womby’s School for Wayward Witches Book 1) and read your way forward. That’s what I did, and it makes a big difference to your enjoyment of later books in the series. Book 10 continues from Spell It Out for Me: A Not-So-Cozy Witch Mystery (Womby’s School for Wayward Witches Book 9) the saga of Clarissa Lawrence, who is starting her third year as Fine Arts and Crafts teacher at Womby’s School for Wayward Witches. It builds quite a lot on the previous books in the series. There are (as usual) many misadventures and misunderstandings among and about her friends and colleagues, some quite surprising, unexpected and horrifying. She finally decides between Elric and Thatch (at least for now).
