Kadynce discovered that a secret was being kept from her: she had three half-sisters living in Springfield, so she decides to move there as an undercover investigative reporter and finally find out why her father abandoned her and her mother. One day while she is working at her sister’s bakery she meets former Marine Wesley and they become very taken with each other. Kady’s new assignment is to get close to Wes and report on his business partner to her boss and she becomes conflicted : she was already in love with Wes, and doesn’t know how she will get the answers she needs of her father without losing what she had with him. When her reason for being in Springfield is revealed, Wes is heartbroken and doesn’t know if he can trust her again, so now she has to decide what’s most important to her ; a father who abandoned her and was abusive to his other family or the man who showed her what it was to have a real family and who truly and deeply loved her.
This was a sweet, clean romance about two people who have been hurt in the past finding true and everlasting love, it was a sappy and tender reading that melted my heart, you could feel how the two of them really loved each other. I loved the author’s storytelling and will be reading her other books!! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
In search of something she did not realize she needed until she found it
Hers to Hold is the fourth book in the Sisters of Springfield series and is the second book in this series I have read. I enjoyed the story of Kadynce Martin and Wesley Solo. This story will take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride so keep some tissues next to you as you will shed more than a few tears before you finish this story.
This is a well written and very engaging book with wonderful characters and a nice amount of romance and chemistry.

Kady has a secret… or two, as she applies for a job at Kaye’s Kakes. She’s on her first assignment as an under cover reporter. Kat Kaye’s husband Drew is running for office in the senate. There are rumors that he is funneling campaign money into his his wife’s business.
I enjoyed this story of child custody, secrets, and the problems our vets often face with PTSD. This is an amazing story of the redemptive power of love.

Kady went undercover to confront the father who never wanted her and his real family. She never knew that he didn’t want them either, that two of her half-sisters would be so accepting and welcoming, and that she would fall for Wes who was working for the man she was investigating, Drew her sister Kat’s husband. It was great to catch up with the sisters, their mother, and follow all the changes in their lives. Wes’ daughter Chastity was smart and precocious and certainly kept him on his toes. Kady was gutsy going out on her own and willing to risk losing family to find the truth.
What is most important?
Learning a pretty big secret Kady knows she needs to find out more I guess it is a good thing she is an investigative journalist except for now she is undercover and investigating her own father. Then Kady gets close to Wes and he finds out about another secret and there is another major trust issue that Kady and Wes will need to come to terms with. This was such a tender and heartfelt piece truly beautiful writing. I highly recommend you check this one out. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

Kadynce (Kady) Martin a investigative journalist is hot on a story but this one has personal ramification she has discovered that her father who left her mother when she was only a baby has another family in Springfield and that she has three half sisters. So she hot foots it to Springfield and gets a job in a local bakery hoping to check out her sisters What she doesn’t expect is to meet former United States Marine Wesley Solo during a flash back he tackles her to protect her from enemy fire. He realises she could be the woman for not only him but also for his daughter but with his PTSD raging he has been advised to not have any romantic entanglements but that doesn’t mean he can’t try to figure out what makes the secretive Kady tick. AS her secrets come to light will he feel used or will they both get the HEA that they deserve You will have to read to see
Such a great series and Hers to Hold is a great addition to this series. A family that you get to know more and more with each book. In this book, the story centers around Kadynce a journalist and Wesley, a former US Marine with PTSD and also a single dad. Great story line with great characters. Highly recommend.

This is book four in the Sisters of Springfield series, I have not read the previous books so going into this one blind. Kadynce Martin is an investigative reporter and she is taking on a job in Springfield that will also allow her to further dig into her own past. Her father abandoned her and she wants to find out why. Things become complicated as Kady meets Wes. Wes is a single Dad to his daughter but he is a former US Marine that has PTSD flashbacks. A romantic relationship with anyone is not in the cards for Wes. However, what happens when you believe you have met the one woman who is an exception to the rule? Kady also finds herself caring for Wes and crossing the professional boundary as she is getting close to him while her new assignment is to report on his business partner. Can Kady find all the answers she is looking for? What happens when she may have found out more than she thought? Can Kady and Wes find trust and a HEA together? Enjoy!

This is a sweet story of family and finding the truth of life.
Kady is a journalist undercover struggling with truth and ethics. She hates not being honest and open, but feels she has no choice.
Wes is struggling with PTSD, and being a single parent. He is drawn to Kady.
This is the story of finding how to trust.

This was a good book. Kady was working undercover at a bakery trying to get a story for the newspaper she was working for. Her main objective was learning about her 3 half sisters and her father. The women don’t know about her at all. She meets Wes and they start seeing each other. The story addresses PTSD, abandment, relationships and a precosious little girl. It kept me entertained and I will look for more from this author.

I liked this romance. I thought the storyline was interesting and very emotional. Wes was a wonderful character. This wounded warrior touched my heart. As far as Kady went I thought she was OK. I felt for her but I wish she had done things differently. Regardless, this was a good read. I’m freely posting a frank review.
The reality is that Wes never really came home to civilian life from his last tour of duty. With him, a variety of domestic challenges become perceived as threats he understands how to deal with. You can duck and cover in the face of enemy fire. An upset woman on the other hand, or one looking for something….
Lady seems to be discovering unexpected things – like a whole other family her father has after he left her behind. A sweet man stepping in to protect from a danger she cannot see. His business partner, who may well be a whole different kind of danger.
Love and lies have consequences.
How many chances are there for each kind of love in your life?
Intense KU romance and family drama.
Kadynce and Wesley were brought together when she’s in town to investigate on the sisters she just found out about. When she gets to town she’s attacked by Wesley when he thinks he’s saving her, except its his PTSD and her calm voice soothes him.
Don’t miss as they broght together and learn together.
