First let me state, I received an Advance Reader Copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review.
Holy shiznet!!! What a story. It grabbed me from the beginning & didn’t let up once. I had a hard time putting it down just to go to bed. A few hours later I was up and finishing it ignoring everyone & everything else. I love Cassie, such a strong resilient woman. She took no shit from anyone. Helcyon is one sexy, hot, sweet fae. And Jacob, so strong & dominant, & a wizard to boot. This story had it all, intrigue, danger, mystery, & hot sex (but not porn). I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up
Cassie is a media savvy, fae approved human. She is responsible for the unveiling of fae kind to humans. But when she is attacked by a bomber, she is left in a dangerous position. Summoned to meet the fae queen, Cassie is given the protection of not just one hunky male, but two!
Helcyon may be fae but he is also sweetly sexy and Jacob is his mirror opposite, Alpha, strong, take charge and a warlock cop into the bargain!
Hot, sexy, sweet with a dollop of magic. MFM so may not suit all tastes but I highly enjoyed it.
Heather Long takes us on a mystical journey, creating a world where just maybe, things would be better off unknown.
Cassandra has everything ready, her client will be pleased and then BOOM!
Gotta love the Boom! I really felt bad for Cassie she loses her assistant, is seriously injured, gets transported to Underhill where she is healed then set on a mission by the Fae Queen, Danae. Seven days to find out who made everything go boom and deal with him/her one way or another.
Helcyon is the Fae Lord assigned to assist and protect her by Danae, but there is another problem. Homeland Security is investigating this as well and their Special Agent Jacob Book just happens to be a wizard with a definite dislike of Helcyon. As this investigation begins something comes after Cassie leaving no doubt that she was meant to be the target.
One thing is for sure, Cassie needs both Helcyon and Jacob need to work together to catch the entity behind all of these things.
Some really great references to old TV and movies, classic Heather wit and snarkiness. Then mix in some very interesting plot twists, and sizzling relationships just so you can’t put it down.
I can’t wait for the next book to be revamped so I can see where this series leads.
For me, it is always fun to read how an author writes paranormal stories, with their own particular slant, and Ms. Long delivered! Hers to Bewitch is about Cassandra Belle and opens with her about to present a client and a huge announcement…until a bomb goes off, her assistant is killed, and she is gravely injured. And this is the very beginning of the story! I don’t want to give any spoilers but know there is a ton of action and the story is always moving forward. We meet Helcyon of the Fae – he has been watching over Cassandra from the beginning and there are definitely sparks between them. Due to events that go spiraling out of control, Helcyon and Cassandra are on the move to try to figure out what is happening around them. They meet up with Jacob, a wizard, who also has definite sparks with Cassandra. Together, the three of them navigate a game where no one has told them the rules, with enough action to keep you on the edge of your seat. I really liked how the story came together and I lurved all the characters. There are some surprises that pop up and it was great. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and was drawn in by not only the story but the characters and the way that everything came together. What a ride!
