Want me to be a father? Yikes.
But when I see little mama for the first time.
Walking hand in hand with my boy…
My heart does a backflip.

Avery and Ray are a fantastic couple who’s story is interesting and varied. Miscommunication plays a huge part in their history and fate leads them back to each other, well with a little help from their son, Christopher. This story had heaps of romance and steam, quite dramatic and a lot of humour in the form of Eric, Ray’s employee. He is hysterical. I enjoyed how his levity breaks up the drama happenng in the foreground for the couple. Such a feel good story and In true style, so typical of Aubrey Wright who’s books I really enjoy.

I enjoyed this story. There are a lot of feels. Ray and Avery made me so sad. Christopher was amazing.
Ray had gone away to war. He never knew that he had a son. He received an email from a kid claiming to be Ray’s son from Avery, the only woman that Ray had ever loved. He’s surprised when he sees Avery holding his son’s hand. Ray wants to get to know Christopher and reconnect with Avery, but he has to leave soon. Can he be a daddy?
This story made me sad for the whole family. A misunderstanding robbed them of so much time and it could have been so easily avoided. Their happy ever after made me smile. I recommend reading this book.

I really, really liked this book!! This second chance romance was so beautifully sweet and you can see from the very beginning that Ray is going to be an awesome father! Avery has trust issues that he knows are pretty much his fault but he is going to do everything he can to make sure that she knows he is in this for the long-haul and will always be there to love and protect them!
Ms. Wright has this wonderful ability to make us feel the emotions of her characters in every book that she writes and I will always read her book before any other each time she has a new release!

Avery Stuart is at the museum with her son Christopher when he takes off out front to meet someone. As she approaches the unfamiliar car, a man steps out that she hasn’t seen in 12 years, Ray Lancaster. Christopher had contacted his biological father to meet them. The only problem is that Ray had hung up on Avery when she told him that she was pregnant while he was on tour in Afghanistan. As they talk the truth about the past is unraveled, but can they reconnect in the future?
Aubrey Wright has given us an easy to read HEA love story with a few twists thrown in for good measure – 4.5 stars.

The story between Avery and Ray is a true test of time, love and forgiveness. Sometimes the main characters make you want to scream and makes you want to slap them to. There is always this back and forth. It makes you wonder if there will be a HEA or will it be the end? Can past hurts be forgiven?Heros Baby had me from the first page and I could not put it down. The story flowed smoothly and Aubrey did an amazing job making these characters so real. If you want a good read and have a few hours free check this book out. In my opinion this book is excellent.
This book in my eyes would be a cross between a secret baby and a second chance romance. A simple misunderstanding tore Avery and Christopher apart and Avery was left alone when she needed Christopher. Eleven years later they are reunited by a letter that was written by there son Ray. Once Avery hears the real reason for what happened she decides to give Christopher a second chance. The chemistry between Avery and Christopher is off the charts hot, sexy and Christopher is every bit the alpha male with a romantic side. These two are able to work through there differences and give there relationship a second chance. Loved this book and Aubrey knocked this one out the park.

This love story is simply said a fine romance!!! The storyline is good and the way the characters are written out is just really good. The story is long enough that it can take you in a few different directions and through a few plots. Overall this is a story that I can truly recommend and am happy to give it fantastic four stars.

Thanks to a communication error, Avery thought that Ray wanted nothing to do with the child she was carrying and as a result refused to get in contact with him. It is almost twelve years that has gone by and Christopher Ray’s son gets in touch with him secretly to meet. Imagine Avery’s surprise to come face to face with the man she thought wanted nothing to do with them. After sitting down to discuss what happened they realize they have wasted years of not being together. Will their talk rekindle the love they shared and hopefully a happily ever after? This is a well written story with a young boy that will win your heart over.

Aubrey Wright always delivers a great story with a storyline that has a heartfelt meaning to go with it and Hero’s Baby is no different. The way she brings the main characters back together after being separated by miscommunication is sweet and very thought out. I loved how she uses Christopher’s school project to bring his parents back together after being separated by miscommunication over a decade ago. When Avery and Ray finally reconnect, they find that the chemistry is still there after all the time that has passed. Can they work through the way things ended all those years ago? The secondary characters, Eric and Mel are awesome and really add to the story and they will keep you laughing. This is another must read from Aubrey and it will not disappoint.

I have read many of Aubrey Wright’s books. Her stories always suck me in and I have to keep reading to see what happens to the characters. Hero’s Baby did not disappoint. I loved Avery and Ray. Their chemistry was great. I also liked watching the relationship between Ray and Christopher grow. This book was fun to read and I couldn’t put it down.

A sweet romance with all the foibles of life and miscommunication. I loved the ups and downs of the relationship and add a really smart kid in the mix for a bumpy romance. Minimal danger…well, the guy is in the security business; however, it is just a fun read with some steamy sex scenes.

This is a very enjoyable second chance romance that induces plenty of feels. Avery and Ray’s poignant tale of missed opportunities, misunderstandings and mistakes will really tug at your heartstrings with its engaging blend of deep emotions, drama, painful history, angst and steam.
3.5
A quick and cute read about how a misunderstanding can change the track of someone’s life. Ray and Avery had a relationship when Ray first entered the army and they were in love with each other, but a serious miscommunication happens and it up ends Avery’s life. She works hard and ends up having a baby by Ray, but it isn’t until years later that that their son, Christopher gets in touch with Ray and things start from there. Ray and Avery still have the attraction they once had but now they must navigate it while keeping in mind that if things go south Christopher will be hurt too. They have some issues and insecurities to work through and at one point I was highly upset with Avery because even if she was in shock she took her feelings and emotional state at the time out on Ray and I personally didn’t feel he deserved it. I did love Christopher, he was such a sweet and loving kid that brought the whole story together.
Avery and Ray’s story will pull at your heat strings as life has not been plain sailing as obstacle after obstacle just keeps on falling into their quest for happiness.
Fortunately for them their cupid came in a pint sized young old boy who saw fit to intervene to get his mum to smile again.
You will not want to put it down once you start as you will just get engrossed in the story line as it is very realistic and easy to relate to.

A WONDERFUL, swoon-worthy, and STEAMY second chance romance! A MUST-READ!
Author Aubrey Wright is one of those authors who creates characters that act and react like real people. There is angst when the story calls for it, but not the myopic synergy which fouls too many self-published Indie Romances these days. Not only are her characters realistic, but they are also phenomenally well-developed and offer to her fandom a new book boyfriend with every title. Ms. Wright’s new contemporary novel HERO’S BABY is a perfect example. Avery’s 11-year-old son, Christopher, has found his absent father, Ray, and arranged to meet him. To find out the how, the why and other important and entertaining details, you’ll have to purchase a copy of HERO’S BABY, cause I’m not revealing anything other than it is totally believable, will make you swoon, and then contemplate less tolerated actions people are reported to have taken when they REALLY don’t like how one decision negatively affects the lives of the innocent. (Deep intake of Breath x2.) Then one might swoon and squirm again as Author Aubrey Wright is an amazing wordsmith. I find myself in her descriptions of one character’s or another’s words and/or actions all the time. Then I subsequently marvel at how this incredibly talented author’s words have hit the mark so well! If you have not read anything by this immensely talented author, then start with HERO’S BABY. This story had me HOOKed within the first ten pages, kept me turning pages quickly to see how the characters were going to deal with the primary plotline and subplots, and early this morning found the ending plus epilogue had me smiling with satisfaction as I finally closed my eyes to sleep. Of course, now I am going to purchase this novel because it is JUST. THAT. GREAT! Then my pre-ordered copy of HERO’S BABY will go into the FAVORITES collection on my Kindle so I can read it again and again. I volunteered to read an early copy of HERO’S BABY, because I love the way Aubrey Wright tells a story, and I stayed up most the night reading it because I couldn’t put HERO’S BABY down. I had to read every word, and I suspect you will feel that way too. This is my VOLUNTARY and HONEST 5+STAR review only because I am not able to award more stars. In closing, I STRONGLY recommend that you purchase your copy of HERO’S BABY today. You will be so very glad you did! Happy pages!
