And for the first time in his … for the first time in his life, the halfling makes friends, most notably with a beautiful half-elf girl named Myra.

This was an enjoyable read! Well written and conceived. There were some unique bits to it that made it more (and more interesting) than just another rehashing of a tolkein-esque world.
enjoyed reading it
fun read
Good fantasy story.
Quirky and entertaining.
It is very amateur and does not flow well. At times confusing and skips from character to character. I have never not finished reading a book but this might be my first one.
Super start to a new series of books!
Just ok
Boring and difficult to care about characters
A fun read with some unforeseen twists and complications.
I had a hard time getting through the first 3/4 of this book because I was put off by the authors quirky word play. Put I pushed on because it had a good plot and likable characters.
The author has potential with this series but fell short on expectations. The quirky effort at humor playing on modern day places and stores was lame
Enjoyable reading.
A little different than what I usually read but the author was good and it kept my interest until the end.
Not a novel. Merely the first episode of a series. As such it’s okay, but a book needs to have a satisfying conclusion to encourage continuing, not just a cliff-hanger ending.
It’s a bit heavy on making references to modern objects & memes try to fit in a medieval-fantasy genre. The beginning is a bit confusing, and the story is told from multiple points of view. It *is* amusing, and doesn’t side track too badly.
Slow start
great read
Funny, with just the right amount of cheesy references
There were too many quotes to the lord of the rings…
