Meet Hudson:He’s a blue-collar single father, sexy as sin, and looking to settle down.Meet Rae:Single, twenty-two, and she’s not ready to be tied to this town, let alone anyone else.So why is it the moment he looks at her from under the hood of her car, her heart is racing and the sarcastic replies on her lips come out sounding sweeter? Why does he make her want to settle down, right here, with … her want to settle down, right here, with him?
It’s not what she wanted…but maybe it’s what she needs.
NOTE: This is NOT a romcom. This is a contemporary romance novel with a HEA.
While technically part of the Here’s To series, this CAN be read as stand-alone as each book will follow a different couple.

Hudson, a mechanic & single father, is working on Rae’s car and can literally feel this magnetic pull between them. He’s never seen or met her before, but he feels a familiarity there. He doesn’t date & his daughter is his first priority, but a last minute stand-in double blind date changes things for Hudson when he sees Rae sitting at his table. Soon they are spending time together & starting to fall for each other. But what happens when secrets are revealed and Rae unknowingly puts Hudson’s daughter in danger?
This is one of my favorite series. Hudson is a fantastic dad who thinks he may be destined to live the single life with his daughter. Rae is a fresh of breath air, who keeps him on his toes with her witty & sarcastic comebacks. The rest of the series, which focuses on their friends and family, is just as amazing as this book!
Here’s to Tomorrow is a beautiful, kind of insta-love story. Not even really insta-love, it’s more of a connection. I know a lot of people don’t like them. But when it’s done right, and it gives you all the feels. That’s when it’s incredible.
Let me tell you; I have been in a major book funk lately. Not being able to get into really anything. So I took some time, read a few books. Not my usual, sometimes three books a week. But that finally changed, when I discovered Teagan Hunter. Her story of Hudson and Rae, was a beautiful one. Not that there weren’t any significant bumps in the road. There were a few. But if you read my reviews. I’m not one to give it all away.
I loved how you were getting know Hudson and Rae just like they were getting to know each other. I finished this book in one sitting. And as I’m typing this my eyes are blurry (thanks Teagen) I love a great love story, one that takes you on a journey. That you watch the characters grow and you’re with them through their major revelations, and this is precisely what happened in Here’s to Tomorrow. I can’t get enough of the writing style and these characters she’s created.
I can’t really see too well, so I’m going to stop my review here. Obviously, Five Boundless Stars.
I’m a total sucker for a good single dad romance! Hunter and his daughter, Joey, gave me all the feels. I adored both of them. Rae was an interesting heroine. Her complete lack of a filter was shocking at times, but somehow it also worked. You always knew where you stood with her, that’s for sure. I really liked the progression of the story and the romance in Here’s to Tomorrow. It was really easy to root for Rae and Hunter.
This was a quick and easy, sexy and swoony read. There was a rather unexpected revelation at the end of the book that got me in the feels. Fate’s a funny thing. I was hooked from the start and couldn’t wait to jump headfirst into the next book in the series!
FAVORITE QUOTES
It’s not that I need someone in my life, but I want one. Someone to talk to, to connect with, to just… be with.
Here’s to Tomorrow is a great read. Rae is super funny. She says whatever is on her mind and she had me laughing at some points. She recently graduated from college and is back home. She doesn’t plan on sticking around very long. She doesn’t have the best memories of her mom so kids are not something she wants. Hudson is a single Dad. He’s struggled and worked hard for what he has. Rae bursts into his life and there is a connection. Neither one is looking for love. It’s not all fun there are some bumps in the road for them.
Teagan Hunter … in Here’s to Tommorow You gave me one of the sweetest story about single daddy, which I did read latetely.
When I’m starting to read new author for me, unfortunately I’m always full of concerns…. because I don’t like to be disappointed… I don’t want to feel this because I’m always sorry when good story is being spoiled with bad writting.
For sure Teagan did very well with writting this good and wonderfull story!!!
When I read the blurb, I knew in that moment : Yes ! I want read this book!
Hudson and Rae are amazing. They are just unbearably… sweet.
Of course they have their secrets behind them…they affraid to tell everthing, to not loose… everything… but they are still what they are – just perfect for each other.
I don’t like very much when main male character is to good and to sweet, but this story could be an exception – Hudson win my heart unconditionally.
I hope that I won’t say to much now… what I loved very much in this book, was tension between Rae and Hudson, but even that You need to wait a little longer to see very sexy stuff.
This book it’s not only about desire, that for sure… This book is about true love… love which will find You no matter when, where and what.
Teagan Hunter is a fairly new-to-me author. I’m always on the hunt for new authors that I really enjoy their writing, so I happily jumped right in.
Here’s to Tomorrow is book 1 of the series and is Rae and Hudson’s story. At least, the biggest chunk of their story. (The Here’s to Forever novella is the rest of their story.) Rae has just graduated from college and is ready to move from her small town into the big city. Hudson is a single father. He became a father when he was 16, and it’s been a tough road to travel. But he’s got an amazing young daughter that he loves with all his heart. Rae is a social butterfly with no filter. Hudson is reserved because of his past. But somehow… they work. Until a huge secret from Rae’s past leads to a near tragedy and threatens to pull them apart… permanently.
Here’s to Yesterday is book 2 and is Maura and Tucker’s story. Maura is the neglected daughter of a very wealthy mother and father. She’s been dating Tanner for a while, but the spark is gone. Tucker is her boyfriend’s brother. A broody musician by night, who works for his best friend during the day. Both have big secrets. Both are trying to keep their friendship on the up and up. But when truths are revealed, can they make it work?
Here’s to Forever is book 2.5 in the series and the wrap-up of Hudson and Rae’s story. Hudson has been hiding something from Rae for a year. And it’s a BIG something. When she uncovers his dishonesty, will it tear them apart, again… for good? Or can they repair their relationship and move forward?
Here’s to Now is book 3 in the series and the final book (so far???). It is Haley and Gaige’s story. Haley is Rae’s older sister and Gaige is best friends with Hudson and Tucker. They meet and become good friends. Best friends. Only no one but the two of them knows about their friendship. But Haley disappears from his life without a word… only to reappear months later out of the blue. He’s so drawn to her, so attracted to her, he’s OK with picking up where they left off. And then some. He’s got a sordid past. She’s haunted by things, too. Is it too much for them to work through, or will love win out over all their troubles?
Straight up honesty here… I didn’t expect to enjoy this series as much as I did. Maybe it’s because I’ve been a reviewer for almost 2 years, and the market seems to be over-flooding with romance books daily. Or maybe it’s because it’s been an insane few weeks, and I’ve found that my real life and how I’m dealing (or not dealing with it) does sometimes affect how I view a story. And both reasons are purely my own. Sometimes I get really jaded because I read so many books now. And some are fabulous. But lately, many of them seem to fall flat. That was not the case with this series, I’m very happy to report!
I think of all the books, Gaige and Haley’s story is my favorite. And it’s kind of hard to name favorites in this series! All of the stories are great. Ms. Hunter writes her characters in a way that draws you in and makes you connect with them from the very beginning. And leaves you truly wanting more. More from each couple, and more from the group as a whole. But my heart went out to Gaige and Haley the most. They had so much to work through from their pasts. So much to overcome… both separately and as a couple. Spoiler alert: each book is an HEA, though!
NICUnurse’s Rating: I have to give this series 4.75 stars. It has lovable, yet relatable characters, great world/relationship building, and wonderful writing. I highly recommend this series if you love contemporary romance. The books are engaging and page-turning. And now I’m searching Amazon for more of Teagan Hunter’s books!
Okay this is the first time I have read this series and have to say wow. I love that Teagan Hunter created so many emotions in this book I didnt know who I liked more. One thing for sure Hudson is up for a wild ride when it comes to both Rae and Joey. Together these two are awesome and all three together is just magic. This is more about a hot, sexy single dad but also a woman overcoming her fears and learning to just be herself. What I loved the most is how easy it is to connect to these characters and cannot wait for book 2 in the series.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
Rae and Hudson were my introduction to a series I never saw coming and an author I never thought to explore. Both left me pleasantly surprised. Here’s to Tomorrow takes a bit of a hard road to love, but in the most adorably simple way. For Rae and Hudson, their path consists of learning from past mistakes and taking a chance on future happiness. There’s a sweetness to the angst. Great beginning to what looks to be an unforgettable series.
