My life is full of regrets. I’ve screwed up more times than I can count, but I’ve spent the past several years atoning for my wrongdoings. I’m finally in a good place, ready to move on and step into the role waiting for me.Then Haley Kamden comes crashing into my life, throwing me yet another curveball. Our relationship is one misadventure after the next. It’s explosive in all the right ways, and … right ways, and so are we.
But I have baggage, and a lot of it.
I’m just hoping she can handle it…
While technically part of the Here’s To series, this CAN be read as stand-alone as each book will follow a different couple.

Here’s to Now is a very complicated, messy romance.
Gaige aka the quiet one. Was quite a mystery, in the beginning, he didn’t say much throughout the last two books. So you didn’t get to know him. There are so many things that he carries on his shoulders, that he shouldn’t. Haley is kind of like his rock that he never knew he needed. She’s a spitfire, she’s fun, and she loves the crap out of him. But it takes a while for them to confront those feelings for each other. So that leads to a roller coaster of doubt and secrets.
Gaige has a lot of secrets. Which, I’m not going to put them on display in this review. You’ll have to read it yourself. I enjoyed this story; I didn’t emotionally connect with these two. But they have so much heart. It’s like you never know if you can genuinely love someone, tell you chip away at those pieces of yourself. Get right into the middle of and see how much your heart deserves. That’s both of them. Hunter is excellent at character building and letting the reader get to know these characters. You can tell that as an author, she loves them.
Overall, I have to give this Four Boundless Stars.
Y’all, I have a new book boyfriend and his name is Gaige. Holy amazing. I loved that Here’s to Now was told solely from his perspective, even if it did make Haley a little harder for me to connect with. I still liked her — and loved THEM — but he was the star of the show here. But man, did they give me all the freaking feels with their slow burn, friends first romance.
Gaige’s past is seriously messy. It’s filled with heavy stuff that’s weighed him down for so long. Haley helps him realize he wants more — and she helps him break free of the guilt. While this book deals with some serious subjects, it does so in a way that keeps it from being too angsty. Gaige and Haley made me smile and swoon. There are sexy times and feels. Here’s to Now is my favorite book of the series and one I won’t forget anytime soon.
FAVORITE QUOTES
“You crashed into my life when I wasn’t looking. You sneaked into my heart in the wildest of ways.”
Here’s to now is 3 rd book in this series.
Every part of this series is very good to read and gave me different feeleings:
– first part gave me the sweetest single daddy ever,
– secodn part fill me with the need to be really loved,
– third made me feel hopeless… hopeless in this this kind which can leave You forever broken.
That’s why this last book was the hardest part for me to read. It was hard for me, not because this story was bad written… It was hard for me because I feelt really alone.
Gaige and Haley makes my head spinning, they both are so sweet, tension between then in this book was overwhelming. But like in every good story there must be place for words which nobody want to say and hear…. but secrets can be deadly…
My heart was aching for them… I could only read breathless till the end of this story, that’s why I higly recommend this book.and series.
Here’s to Now is book three in the Here’s To series. It can be read as a standalone but if you read the previous ones then you will already know the characters. This one is Gaige and Haley’s story. I loved Gaige. He’s not prefect, he has a not so great past. He’s worked hard to get where he is. He has his secrets. Haley is the prefect curve ball that Gaige never saw coming. Before this book I loved Giage but really didn’t have an opinion on Haley, by the end of this story I really liked her. I liked getting to know Gaige and Haley more. This one was a good read.
Teagan Hunter is a fairly new-to-me author. I’m always on the hunt for new authors that I really enjoy their writing, so I happily jumped right in.
Here’s to Tomorrow is book 1 of the series and is Rae and Hudson’s story. At least, the biggest chunk of their story. (The Here’s to Forever novella is the rest of their story.) Rae has just graduated from college and is ready to move from her small town into the big city. Hudson is a single father. He became a father when he was 16, and it’s been a tough road to travel. But he’s got an amazing young daughter that he loves with all his heart. Rae is a social butterfly with no filter. Hudson is reserved because of his past. But somehow… they work. Until a huge secret from Rae’s past leads to a near tragedy and threatens to pull them apart… permanently.
Here’s to Yesterday is book 2 and is Maura and Tucker’s story. Maura is the neglected daughter of a very wealthy mother and father. She’s been dating Tanner for a while, but the spark is gone. Tucker is her boyfriend’s brother. A broody musician by night, who works for his best friend during the day. Both have big secrets. Both are trying to keep their friendship on the up and up. But when truths are revealed, can they make it work?
Here’s to Forever is book 2.5 in the series and the wrap-up of Hudson and Rae’s story. Hudson has been hiding something from Rae for a year. And it’s a BIG something. When she uncovers his dishonesty, will it tear them apart, again… for good? Or can they repair their relationship and move forward?
Here’s to Now is book 3 in the series and the final book (so far???). It is Haley and Gaige’s story. Haley is Rae’s older sister and Gaige is best friends with Hudson and Tucker. They meet and become good friends. Best friends. Only no one but the two of them knows about their friendship. But Haley disappears from his life without a word… only to reappear months later out of the blue. He’s so drawn to her, so attracted to her, he’s OK with picking up where they left off. And then some. He’s got a sordid past. She’s haunted by things, too. Is it too much for them to work through, or will love win out over all their troubles?
Straight up honesty here… I didn’t expect to enjoy this series as much as I did. Maybe it’s because I’ve been a reviewer for almost 2 years, and the market seems to be over-flooding with romance books daily. Or maybe it’s because it’s been an insane few weeks, and I’ve found that my real life and how I’m dealing (or not dealing with it) does sometimes affect how I view a story. And both reasons are purely my own. Sometimes I get really jaded because I read so many books now. And some are fabulous. But lately, many of them seem to fall flat. That was not the case with this series, I’m very happy to report!
I think of all the books, Gaige and Haley’s story is my favorite. And it’s kind of hard to name favorites in this series! All of the stories are great. Ms. Hunter writes her characters in a way that draws you in and makes you connect with them from the very beginning. And leaves you truly wanting more. More from each couple, and more from the group as a whole. But my heart went out to Gaige and Haley the most. They had so much to work through from their pasts. So much to overcome… both separately and as a couple. Spoiler alert: each book is an HEA, though!
NICUnurse’s Rating: I have to give this series 4.75 stars. It has lovable, yet relatable characters, great world/relationship building, and wonderful writing. I highly recommend this series if you love contemporary romance. The books are engaging and page-turning. And now I’m searching Amazon for more of Teagan Hunter’s books!
The enigma of Gaige is finally revealed. He’s a complicated hunk of burning love. From self – loathing to heart-aching Haley and Gaige stole an enormous chunk of my heart. There is so much more than a romance at stake when you let Ms. Hunter into your heart, her characters walk away with pieces of your soul. Throughout the series Gaige seemed to be the guy that has his act together, but looks can be deceiving. He’s the man still struggling to figure himself out. Haley brings sunshine to drown out the rain. She chases away the dark moments as she ends up rescuing them both. Here’s to Now is the most involved of the Here’s To series. Drama, mystery and hope define a tale of moving on and
