Sawyer LaGrange.
He’s my best friend’s older brother.
He’s quiet, brooding, sinfully sexy… brave.
And I want him.
Secrets.
Everybody has them.
Big, small, innocent… forbidden.
Mindy was a line I should never have crossed.
But I did.
She was beautiful… sassy and tempting,
And rules were made to be broken.
We broke them all.
Now I’m home, released from service with hidden scars.
Now my secrets are the demons that grow stronger every day.
I try to send her away, but I can’t let her go.
She’s my reason to fight, and I’ll walk through hell to be the man she deserves.
To give her a reason to stay here with me.

Tia has once again reached into her imagination and given us the reader characters that are real and heartfelt . Mindy and Sawyer bonded over tragic events at a young age. Through the years they have always had that connection. Sawyer leaves for the military and comes home a man with new demons. Their story is sweet, loving, emotional and heartbreaking but together they may find their way to love and happiness. I love that we had our beautiful cast of characters surrounding them on their journey. This one gave me all the feels and tugged at every emotion !! Loved Sawyer and Mindy!

In Here With Me, Tia Louise once again writes a couple I can relate to on every level. Sawyer and Mindy are characters I’ve been intrigued by since Wait for Me. Quiet and steadfast, Sawyer has taken on huge responsibility from a young age.
Managing the family farm and taking care his younger siblings has left him little time for himself. His one distraction, his anchor, is Mindy. Kind and caring, she’s always had a place in her heart for Sawyer, and for what seems like forever, she’s hoped for a place in his.
Their story is an sexy, emotional tale of secrets and longing. And it’s the best of everything I love about Ms. Louise’s writing.
“They say you get in life what you have the courage to ask for.
Well, I’m brave.
And I want him.”
OMG SWOON!! I love it! You’re going to love this book!
ARC was given to me by Author…..Thank you so much!
My review is being given voluntarily.
I gave this book 5
OMG were to begin? I really can’t give it justice with my words.
One of the little excerpt that’s my favorite is this:
*** I love you, Melinda Claire.”The sound of his voice thrills me to my curled toes. “You’re never leaving me again.”Laughing, I lift his hand to my lips for a kiss. “I love you Sawyer Louis. You’re never leaving me again.”“You’re right.”His strong arms are around me, and it’s the greatest feeling on the planet. ***
This book was fenomenal, it’s everytime I expected and much more. There’s so much raw emotional gut-wrenching heartache that Sawyer’s has to deal with, and Melinda just tries to stand by him with her love and support. I was crying my eyes out along with them! there’s humor, steamy sex, beautiful family embrace, which I loved revisiting with them (Noel is my girl, her story was my favorite).
I think that Tia Louise is a awesome badass author
This book is a standalone, no cliffhanger, and worth taking the time to read.
I can’t wait to read about Deacon’s story in August. I hope we get Leon’s story once he grows up into a hunk of a man
Excuse me while I pick myself up from the puddle of goo I’ve turned into after reading Here With Me. There was a lot of pressure for Sawyer’s story. He has always been a favorite character of mine. Broody, dark and broken. Mindy is perfect for him. The heartbreak and love (don’t forget the steam!) was a perfect balance. Another billion star read from Tia Louise!
I have been anticipating Sawyer’s book for awhile now and let me tell you, he is worth the wait! I’m happy to say he is everything I expected him to be! Here With Me gave me all the feels! I felt everything while reading this book. I laughed (lemon zest), I cried, I got downright angry at times, but mostly I simply felt happy.
Sawyer had the world put on his shoulders at a very young age, but he has always had an anchor in Mindy. They have been through a lot of tough times together. However, when Sawyer came back from the service, he had trouble with PTSD and pushed Mindy away. Talk about heartbreaking! But with that devastation, something good came from it. Mindy discovered herself. She got her career off the ground and found the confidence she always lacked. It was beautiful to see!
This book was such a great read and it had me so emotional because both the characters suffer with their own insecurities and don’t know how to fight for what they want or themselves. They have been friends, both in love with each other since they were little, and they were both their holding the other during dark and bad times yet Sawyer just can’t seem to feel worthy enough of Mindy’s love and this is slowly killing them. They want to be together, but Mindy feels she is giving up her life and dream to wait on Sawyer to be ready for more and her heartache is so tangible I could feel my own heart hurting with her. Sawyer is going through some rough times, he carries, the weight of the world on his shoulders, and he is use to being the man of the household and running everything for his family but he can’t let go of his past and move forward and it hurts watching him suffer so much. I was happy when they both decided to take control of their lives to learn how to deal with their issues and find their strength. This book was so good and had all the emotions and I felt so happy once Sawyer decided to fight for himself and the love of his life. This series has been intense and touching, the author makes you feel like you are part of this family, so I hope we get more.

This story was wonderful!!
I loved everything about it!! The epilogue had so many swoon worthy “awww” moments!
And I love how Sawyer and Noel ended up with each other’s best friends lol
Now on to the narrators: PERFECTION!
Patrick has a deep country drawl that was absolutely perfect for Tarron in Wait With Me and Sawyer in this one. It’s like warm honey
Emma Wilder is amazing! She isn’t country/southern by nature so her country is softer but it’s beautiful none the less. Seriously no complaints
Here With Me is a beautiful story. This book isn’t one to rush through, savor the words. The hero, Sawyer has been through a lot of tragedy on top of PTSD. There are so many things to learn from reading this book about veterans, it’s an eye opener for me. It’s well written, the plot isn’t rushed and the characters are so loving and supportive. Beautiful book.
Mindy and Sawyer have been keeping a secret from his younger sister for years. They keep their relationship quiet and not a soul knows about it but the two of them. Mindy was sad when Sawyer got deployed but she figured they’d always get their shot down the road. What happens next is something she never expected. Sawyer came back from war with scars that he won’t share with anyone. He keeps them buried deep. Doing so may just cost him the one thing he’s wanted most out of this life, Mindy.
This book is both heartbreaking and heartwarming. I have zero personal experience with the effects of a war on a couple, but I believe the author did a good job portraying what that might look like for some. I love military romance and small town romances. Mix those two tropes with a best friend’s older brother and you have the perfect trifecta. This was my favorite out of this series.
Wow! And I mean Wow. I didn’t think that Tia Louise could top Noel and Taron for me, but boy did she. You could feel the love pour off of the pages in Mindy’s chapters. And you could feel the hesitation from Sawyer’s. These two have been so tightly wound together for most of their lives and the immense amount of passion and respect you as a reader feel for them. As frustrating as Sawyer was at times, the decisions he made and the depths they came from were realistic and it hurts on a personal level. So many experience similar situations and as heartbreaking as it was leading up to his decision to finally get the help he needs, there is so much growth in both of them. And that epilogue….all the feels!!! Can’t wait for Deacon. Thank you Tia Louise for another amazing work of art.
OH MY HEART!! Tia really hit me in the feels with this one. Having a soldier of my own that suffers from the things he experienced while serving; I can feel the pain of the heroine in this story. I loved the moments between the Hero & the heroine; the genuineness of who they are to each other and the determination that they both feel to both love and save each other. The love, the memories and the healing between these two are what makes this such a beautiful story.
Ever since Sawyer appeared in his sister Noel’s book (Wait For Me); I’ve needed his book something fierce. He was such a good big brother and friend in that book it made me need to know more about him. Every little piece just wasn’t enough. I needed to be inside his head.
Sawyer; every piece of him that I got made me fall even more in love with his character. So fierce and protective of everyone around him that’s important to him. The things he had to go through while still being a child himself was unfair but he stepped up and did what needed to be done. Having two little siblings and a family legacy that he refused to give up; made him give up a lot of things growing up. Leaving his family behind to go serve his country was an honor that he felt to his bones but it sure left him with a lot of scars. The kind that are invisible to the eyes and only sometimes felt by those closest…but he does a good job hiding the scars from them as well. One person sees him though just like she always has.
Mindy has always seen her best friend’s older brother and she’s also always felt the guilt of wanting him. She can’t deny the way he makes her feel; the way he’s made her feel for so long. She’s always been his anchor; the one person in this world that he felt was just for him. There comes a time when a person needs to make the choice to take what they want or to move on. She knows her choice, but when one doesn’t work she has to fall to the other plan.
The biggest question is if they will survive when his scars come back to haunt him.
The tropes that this book covers are some of my favorite ones to read.
*best friend’s older brother
*second-chance
*military
Tia Louise is one of my favorites, a go to for me when I need a sweet, sexy & heartfelt book. If you read this and love it check out her other books. I’m always looking forward to whatever she gives us next!
OMG! I’ve volunteered to review this book for United Indie Book Blog. I love to read stories from Tia Louise. This is Sawyer and Mindy story. Sawyer is the brother of Mindy’s best friend. Sawyer had to grow up very quickly at a young age. Mindy has always been in love with Sawyer since she was younger. This is an emotional roller coaster ride that I didn’t want too end. It shows how to deal with overcoming demons and struggles that comes with life. They both saw each other as their rock or anchor in each others lives. Can they finally have their second chance? This can be read as a standalone. Keep up the amazing work! I can’t wait to read more from this author.
We got to see Sawyer and Mindy in Wait for Me and I knew their story would be special. Mindy has been in love with Sawyer since she was old enough to hold his hand, but Sawyer went in the military and came home a different person.
PTSD is hard to handle with support, but it’s even harder to deal with alone. Sawyer knows that he is not good enough for Mindy, but when the flashbacks start he is scared for everyone around him.
I love how Mindy stands up to Sawyer and for the love she feels for him. Once Sawyer starts to face his PTSD and get help, he realizes that he wants to fight to get better for Mindy. He is so strong and so worthy of Mindys love.
This book really came close to home for me. It’s spot on for a military based story.
This is the story of Sawyer & Mindy. Sawyer owns the peach orchards that belonged to his family after his mother died, and then his father. He also was in the military. Mindy works at a nursing home, trying to decide what she wants to do with her life ever since she graduated college. They knew each other since he was sixteen, and she was 11 years old. When Sawyer came home from the military he stayed friends with Mindy, but he kind of shut her out. She’s loved him for a long time. He is now thirty-one, and she is twenty-six years old. They did get together before he went into the Marines, when he was nineteen. They live in a small town called Harristown, LA. Sawyer has been in a dark place since he’s been home. One experience, especially, is imprinted in his mind. He’s loved Mindy since he was young, but he just can’t seem to allow her into his life because he is damaged. The writing of this story is exceptionally real. It brings to light the actual suffering soldiers can go through after they come home. Things happen through this story until, yes, there is a happy ending. I’m new to Tia Louise’s books, and I can’t say how much I enjoyed this book. I am looking forward to the other military books of the friends of Sawyer.
Here With Me is a fabulous read. I loved the chemistry between Sawyer and Mindy. They have this incredible bond. They will put a smile on your face. Mindy is Noel’s best friend. She is an amazing artist and has this huge heart. Sawyer you can feel the battle within himself. There is that darkness that lingers within Sawyer. Mindy is his light from it. There are so many sweet moments as well as hot ones. I love what Tia Louise brings with Mindy and Sawyer. I couldn’t put this down.
I have loved all the books leading up to this one so I couldn’t wait for this one. I have to say that I was disappointed with this one. The story was good, but I just couldn’t connect with the characters – either one! I guess it’s just me but i really struggled with even finishing this one. I liked the characters in the previous book but I just couldn’t make it happen with this one. Love the author and the other books, just not this one. Won’t stop me from reading more of her work in the future!
