A second chance to make up for the mistakes of the past. A second chance at love.
Troy: I’ve settled in at Fort Dale with a great job at the clinic on base and I’ve even made a few friends. The nearby city offers all I need to enjoy myself on a night off, if you know what I mean. I was just starting to relax and think everything would work out when he walked into the clinic. Oscar Reyes, the man … Reyes, the man I fell in love with six years ago and who walked out on me because he couldn’t handle the thought of being out. I never thought I’d see him again, and now he’s here, tossing everything I thought I knew on its head.
Oscar: There aren’t many things in life that throw me off. Despite a bit of a temper, I deal with things quite well. The IED that took my arm, and left me with a permanent limp was hard, but after six months, I’m managing. Well, I was. Until I ran into Troy again. Just seeing him was enough to realize six years wasn’t long enough to kill my feelings. When I walked away, it seemed right at the time and my reasons haven’t changed. This time I’m determined to stand by that decision. Until I went and kissed him.
Oscar and Troy would have sworn six years was enough to make them forget. It wasn’t. When both men find themselves stationed at Fort Dale, staying away from each other suddenly seems impossible. Nothing has changed, including their feelings, it seems. But is it enough?

Romeo Alexander just blew me away with “Here We Go Again”. I loved everything about this book. Let me start with the reality of war and the issues that soldiers come home with Alexander addressed with Oscar. Alexander did not flinch away from the day to day difficulties and handled them with directness that did not take away from the emotional impact or drown us in emotions. Kudos.
Alexander also provided us with humor, drama, and of course “fun”. The issue of homosexuallity in the military is still a touchy one today even though it is “okay”. There is still a stigma attached to it.
This is romance that can be read over and over again. I freakin’ loved it.
I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.
On A Serious Note This Book Is Simply Spectacular.

The pain and anguish Oscar endures because he lets fear of being rejected hijack his mind so he leaves not willing to lose the only family he has.
Troy was left behind blowing in the wind.
So what happens when you come face to face with someone you never thought you’d see again?
And when said Mr.Grumpy pants rescues him from a touchy situation and then proceeds to lecture him on his reckless behavior.
Lets talk about the proverbial elephant in the room sorta speak. But seriously can they leave the bad feelings and pain in the past to move forward together? Can Troy really trust Oscar not to run again?
As I’ve been sitting here pouring out my review I got to thinking and my snazzy advice would be for Troy to invest in a few pairs of handcuffs and duck-tape.

Loved this second-chance story!
Oscar and Troy are great characters; I loved both Troy’s willingness to put the past behind their backs and Oscar’s strength to try again and overcome his fears.
Michael Ferraiuolo is nailing it with this series, I can’t get enough!
Audiobook review:
Overall – 5
Performance – 5
Story – 5
I love a good second chance story.
I’ve been binge listening to this series and I continue to be smitten with Michael Ferraiuolo’s performance of the books.
Troy and Oscar had a thing six years ago but Oscar broke it off because he wasn’t ready to come out – to his family or anyone else. Troy was left heartbroken and determined to just have a good time with guys after that; no more relationships for him. When Oscar comes back into Troy’s life it really shakes things up and soon, they are back at it again – but still in secret.
This story has a few tense moments when Oscar’s temper gets the better of him (not with Troy) but I can’t say more without spoilers. Second chance stories are a favorite trope for me and I really loved that these two guys finally were able to sort out their problems and be together.
I’ve really liked how the books in this series are connected but can be read as standalone stories. I actually didn’t realize at first that some of the stories take place at least a bit concurrently with each other. I’ll be moving on to the next book now.

This was such a fun story. I’m so weird, that I started this series backwards. This was the first I’ve read/listened to. It can easily stand alone, but you may discover some spoilers sprinkled throughout. I quickly suspected, having read all of the blurbs, that these stories all operate on the same timeline, therefore overlapping. I really enjoy when a series does that. It gives your view of events more dimension and different perspectives. I fully intend to go back and listen to the other audiobooks. I’m fully intrigued.
The writing is top notch, and the story flows organically and smoothly. The banter between characters was great. I love the quick wit woven throughout the book. Troy was a delight. Oscar needs someone like Troy in his life, and vice versa.
Michael Ferraiuolo is a talented narrator. I love the voices he gave Oscar and Troy. He did a great job voicing the side characters as well, and did a great job differentiating between everyone.
A lovely second chance romance. Wondered about Troy’s story during his scenes in book 1 with Dean.
Really liked the way Troy’s character was written- his insecurities, his love for Oscar and how he was willing to be patient and understanding.
The kiss scenes were HOT and so was the sizzling chemistry between the MCs.
Can’t wait for book #4!
We met Troy in book one and he was a pain in the neck for Dean! That’s not how he really is. He put on this brave, smirky attitude to hide his pain. He and Oscar had the perfect romance, or so he thought and then it was gone. Just like that! Oscar couldn’t face his feeling about being deployed so he ran. Now, they’re back at the same post, Fort Dale, and it’s not easy to stay away. Oscar doesn’t want a relationship but can’t seem to stay away from Troy. Troy just wants him to make up his mind. He would love a second chance but is not gonna be kept hanging on a string. I love this author’s writing. He gives a real life feel to his character’s relationships. If you like military romance, this is for you. I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.
It’s not often that you get a second chance at love. But with the amount of history that Troy and Oscar have between each other – the second chance might not be enough. Oscar has been content with staying in the closet; he doesn’t want to risk messing up his life or losing the only family he has left when they find out he is gay. He knew when he first dated Troy that they were in different stages of their sexuality – Troy being out and proud, Oscar keeping his a secret. They do no split on the best of terms, so flash forward six years, and when they meet again it still feels like the breakup just happened.
I really do enjoy second chance love stories and this one was a great one. Neither one of the men were ready to let the other go, but they both understood the hurt and pain that was caused six years ago. I thought this story was written very well, and it seemed realistic – the lengths they had to go through to rebuild trust, and see if they could even move forward. I also think the author did a great job in balancing the emotional and the physical connection between the two men. There reunion wasn’t all about the physical aspect – but there are some quite steamy moments between the two men so you’ll have that to lighten the mood. This books wasn’t a very long read – so it would be a great afternoon read, if you’re looking for a quick second chance romance.
*4.5 stars – I received an Advance Reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed Here We Go Again. We got a wonderful story, learned about disabilities and visited with some old friends. As the mother of an amputee, stories like this go along way to acceptance. Thanks for wiring another amazing story.

By far this is my favorite of this series. I so loved Oscar and Troy. I loved their past history and I loved the immediate connection that was instant after they had run into each other after many years. I loved Troy because he just had to get his man back and I loved Oscar for fighting his fears. This was a great 2nd chance at love and boy did these two deserve it. Great Read.

This sweet second chance for love didn’t disappoint. Oscar and Troy met back up again unexpectedly after 6 years apart. Oscar couldn’t deal with people in his private business and he wasn’t totally out of the closet with his family. Troy is a medic who is a free spirited, caring guy who doesn’t care if people know he is gay…unlike Oscar the grump. Their love was tested and failed due to Oscar issues. Now they have a second chance to get it right. After a couple of stressful, dangerous and heated encounters with Troy, Oscar realizes that he can’t be without Troy and he loves him. Troy is willing to work it out and romance and steamy times commence. What made me fall in love with Oscar is when he ran after Troy after being caught in a compromising position by his brother. He wanted to make sure he still had Troy in his life regardless of what his brother thought…I was in love from then on until the end of the book. Oscar continued to be so sweet to Troy that even Troy had to questioned if this was still the grumpy man he fell in love with. I love how the author incorporated the stories/characters from the other books with this one. It was a lovely surprise and entertaining. I hope the author has another story up his sleeve.

Words matter! Troy working on Ft Dale as a Med Tech. Oscar on Ft Dale from invitation from Gen Winter to fill a training position that will soon becoming open. Oscar needed a physical and was as surprised as Troy when they saw each other. They had history. They had a relationship for a year before Oscar, declared they were over as he left for deployment. No discussion, no letters, no communication! They meet up again 6 years later. Troy is openly gay. Oscar is still deep in the closet although he has strong feelings for Troy. He lost part of his dominant arm, has schrapnel in his hip, massive scarring and still getting used to his changed physical state. Troy is ready to at least try for closure, if nothing else. But he’s hopeful because Oscar kissed him. What did Oscar mean by the kiss? Is that his closure? Will he open up to Troy? Good to finally get Troy’s story. Nice to see other stories from a different perspective. Absolutely love these guys. Great story, good character developmetnt. Nice story flow. Well done! I Love Second Chance stories and this is definitely one of the better ones I’ve read! The characters were real people, fleshed out with real worries, and all of the raw emotions of their traumas and their pasts! It’s not too emotional or anything and it’s also not too lighthearted, it hits that perfect balance of middleground where the snarky banter and sexy times keep you enjoying the read from beginning to end!! I cheered for these Military Men all the way through and I recommend this book and series to anyone who enjoys a good Second Chance Lovers Romance!!

Action packed, sexy, fun, engaging and emotional adventure filled with danger, suspense and undeniable passion… an edge of your seat read from beginning to end and so hard to put down. Really enjoyed the characters I got to know on this journey.

An awesome second chance romance. Troy was introduced in the other books in this series and he finally gets his HEA. Oscar and Troy were lovers 6 years ago, but when Oscar was deployed he decided it was best to stop things with Troy. Oscar was afraid to let anyone know that he was gay and figured that by breaking up with Troy no one would find out about him liking men. Troy on the other hand was openly gay and very heartbroken when Oscar left. Now, years later Oscar is assigned to the same military base where Troy is a doctor. The two of them are very surprised when they run into each other. Sparks fly again but will they be able to contain themselves or give into their desires?
Troy it’s been six years since he’s seen Oscar the only man he ever loved the one who walked away to affraid to come out. Now Oscar is back with a messed up leg and half of his arm gone with plenty of scars the IED may have taken part of him but Troy still loves him only problem Oscar still isn’t out and it hurts to much to be left in limbo.
Oscar I left for deployment ended things with the only guy who understood me I couldn’t deal with everything and I wasn’t ready to tell what was left of my family that I was gay and I’m still not ready but I’m having a hard time letting go of Troy this time and I cant stand to see him with anyone else if I want to keep him I will have to face my fears this time around. I liked the characters in this book and how it cought up with other characters from one of the previous books it was a good second chance romance with some funny moments and always there is steamy sex and romance with the guys at Fort Dale.
I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book via Booksprout and this is my honest review.
Oscar is a war torn soldier that lost his arm and has a bum hip thinks to a IED. Troy works in the clinic on base and use to be the love that Oscar threw away. With a lot of back and forth the two cannot seem to see eye to eye on anything because of the fact that Oscar is so deep in the closet. They keep running into each other and eventually find peace with what happened and then love starts to show threw the hard lines that make the two of them both a little bit crazy. The surprises that seem to pop up will take you on a bumpy ride so hang on for dear life!

I’m a big fan of Romeo Alexander and this book does NOT disappoint! Once again she was able to craft a sweet second-chance MM romance with great main characters. I absolutely love how we see snippets of her characters from her other novels (Sloane, Dean, etc.) in this book. It makes the world she has created in her story more real because you know these other characters; it’s also exciting to see them from other POVs. For example, John makes some minor appearances in Dean and Sloane’s novel, and he is brought up in this novel too as one of Troy’s patients. It’s just cool to see how each of these characters interact with each other.
I liked the slow pace of this novel, we really didn’t see a lot of romantic contact between Troy and Oscar until about 60% of the way through. I don’t think this takes away from the story, I think it adds more value to it. You can see how much time the author has taken to mold the relationship between these characters; espeically given they’ve already tried once and failed. It shows that they may want to try again but they need time to think and work out if this is right for both of them. I really liked this aspect.
Also, I have to say I find Gabriel to be hilarious. I love his character! He’s a great addition to an already stellar group of men. Hopefully soon we can see some more of Marco, Christian, and the General I would love to read all of their stories.
