What a sweet book – I love that the main characters name was a twist … wonderful and witty series!
Awesome book in the Bride herder series.
This is such a fun series. Chance Redburn is truly over his head with his inheritance. Lynn Donovan tells the story of Myrakle, prospective bride who is deaf, and Joseph, rancher who makes beautiful string instruments with his brothers. She slowly reveals all the secrets of these two young people. It is truly a story of two remarkable people. I loved the story.
Myrakle needs to get married to receive her inheritance, but who would want to marry a deaf girl. When she and the other girls arrive in Bent they discover that the matchmaker is clueless. But when she meets Joseph their connection is immediately. But will they get the chance to court?
This is a fun story, I loved the connection she had with her dog Dumpling.
The is the second book in the Bride Herder series and it’s the first book I’ve read from this author and I really loved this story.
This story has the heroine that is deaf from scarlet fever from the age of three. Now she is with 9 other brides to be matched by a matchmaker in Bent, CO.
When the train they are all on arrives in Bent late at night, she sees a man at the train station and the eyes reach each other. Will they be matched and if not, can they tell the matchmaker to put them together?
This one has adventure, kidnapping and of course romance and sadness and happiness.
It is good and I ready to read another book by this author.
I highly recommend this awesome story and make sure you read the first one to get the back story of how this rancher turns into a matchmaker and tries to make people like he did cattle for breeding. That alone cracks me up hence the title of the series.
I can’t wait for the next story in this series as I know from the first two it will be great. Oh, and this is a multiauthor series which is a great way to find new authors as I just did.
Within a very short time Myrakle has lost her Father and home. Her Father gave her a wonderful life. She was left deaf at the age of 3 after Scarlett Fever. Her Father had an inheritance set aside for her, but conditions make it seem impossible to Myrakle.
He set a time limit on her being able to claim the inheritance. Just 6 months! She must first marry. He also made arrangements for her to travel west to Bent, Colorado with a group of 9 other brides.
Upon arriving everything is in a turmoil due to the death of the Matchmaker and her nephew taking over a business he knows nothing about!
Myrakle loves music and when she plays the little piano ribbons of color are set forth. What a beautiful picture that sets in my mind.
Maybe-Joseph as Myrakle thinks of him works with his father making violins. Can Joseph and Myrakle win each others hearts?
The characters in this story are beautifully written and have hearts to see beyond disability. I fell in love with them immediately.
I received an ARC of this book and am choosing to leave an honest review.
